Black Lamb is a neighborhood restaurant and raw bar by Chef Colin Lynch at the corner of Tremont & Union Park in the heart of the South End.

Sample a daily-changing selection of oysters, ceviche, and crab from the raw bar. Enjoy a satisfying salad or dig into a thick and juicy classic burger with house-made fries.

The beverage program focuses on classic cocktails inspired by the culinary traditions invoked by our chefs and a curated list of wines from producers working with an eye for treating their vineyards with the same respect our growers treat their farms.

A wonderful place for lunch. Innovative menu, very nicely prepared. And quiet enough to enjoy the lunch. I’ve given up going for dinner; the ear splitting din just isn’t worth it.

I took advantage of the restaurant week menu. I had the beet salad which was absolutely delicious and very visually-appealing. I had the cheesburger which was good but nothing special. The fries were string fries which I love but were lukewarm. I got coconut cream pie for dessert. It was very light and delicious! We sat in the very back of the restaurant where it was a bit cozier. I would definitely recommend The Black Lamb and I'd go back.

Service was excellent and food was delicious. We did the Boston Dine Out menu which was great value and the portions were large. The cocktails are fantastic as well. Save room for dessert!

My date had dined here once before with his business partners and enjoyed it. This time, not so much. It was Restaurant Week so we took advantage of the prix fixe menu. Unfortunately, our server ignored us on three separate occasions, the main dishes lacked flavor, and the carrot cake was extremely dry and hard. The saving grace was the drinks - my champagne was top notch.

Our first time at black lamb for our wedding anniversary! My husband ordered the beet salad and Branzini dish and for me as a vegetarian option was offered branzini with out the fish which was broccoli raisins and hamony with almonds ( no protein and not filling at all ) unfortunately they ran out of cauliflower appetizer ?? So they offered me crispy mushroom which was more breading than mushroom with a tasty yogurt sauce
The margaritas we ordered was very delicious and portion was generous . The complementary bread rolls was very delicious and helped me to fill up . Service was nice and not pushy . Great place to go back for cocktails but not if you are vegetarian

I will preface this by saying this is a review from a reservation during dine out week so it likely doesn’t reflect the normal environment. This is a fun local spot in the south end, not too pricey (the regular menu prices are reasonable). Food was good, I loved the short rib. Drinks are good, nice mix of classics and more trendy cocktails. The olives are surprisingly tasty. The bread is so so delicious and I highly recommend. The service felt rushed and I’m sure they were trying to turn the table. Our table for two was out 90 minutes after we sat down and we sat early and we definitely felt hustled through ordering etc, courses arriving, etc. I am not sure how much time they left for each reservation this week but I wondered given the rush we felt. I’d be very curious to see what it’s like on a non dine out week!

Very nice waitress however completely screwed up our drink order which meant it took forever to get them. The bartender even substituted a different brand of gin (without asking if we even liked the substituted brand) rather than tell us they did not have any Hendricks. Very odd. We were given a free dessert however due to this snafu.
Food was good but not as good as we expected. Very noisy at the beginning but as the place emptied out, much better.

Really great experience. Had a reservation and the table in front of us took a while so we waited 10 minutes or, which was no big deal and we didn’t complain or anything. They brought over a complimentary glass of bubbly upon sitting down which was very nice. Food was excellent raw bar, mushrooms, duck frites.

This was our third time at the Black Lamb and we were impressed and thrilled again. The food is amazing and innovative. The service is fabulous. It is a bit noisy but that is part of the package.

I was in town for work and figured I’d check out a hot new restaurant (according to thrillist). I made a reservation way in advance and went with a friend who recently moved to Boston. I figured this would be a cool scene to have a couple of cocktails and a nice meal. I checked with the hostess and was told they were cleaning up my table- about 20 min later (didn’t mind the wait)- I am walked into a room with high tops. A room where you can barely hear the music or crowd. It was a snooze fest to which the waitress said we can see the shucker- this was not a highlight or perk in my opinion. I’ve seen way nicer oyster bars

We did not like this restaurant at all. We sat in the little room where the raw bar is located--it was very drafty. When the waitress came, she told us right away that they were out of lobster rolls, though it was early on a Sunday evening and the restaurant was nearly empty. The young man behind the raw bar counter was very kind and generous, giving my husband an extra oyster. I had ordered branzino, which came on top of a very dry mixture of broccoli stems and white beans. My husband had beef tartare, which he said lacked seasoning and had no flavor at all. And for dessert the only pie on the menu was chocolate chip!

Menu is on the small side, not many entree options. We got the cauliflower, mushroom, and root vegetables starters - all 3 were solid, and burgers for dinner. Everything was perfectly good but I was definitely not amazed by anything.

Excellent dinner. Our waitress was great. Tried a wine we didn’t like and she offered to return for a different bottle. Food was tasty. Didn’t realize the crispy mushrooms were in batter but they was my fault for not asking. Branzino delicious.

The restaurant is very pretty and the service was good ( even tho the server forgot to bring my wine) but it’s very very crammed in. They sat us at a bar facing a window so everything was served from over your shoulder but your so tightly in, you couldn’t hardly move. Great place if your dining solo but for a date night I wouldn’t recommend.
