The newest restaurant at Kingston Resorts showcases the best local fare in a comfortable setting. All 40 beers on tap come from the states of North and South Carolina and the entire menu is Carolina born and brewed. Share small plates and appetizers, try fresh seafood, and house-smoked meats while enjoying ocean views. Order a craft beer at the outdoor beer garden and play favorite yard games such as cornhole in the new event space.

Above the restaurant, find a new event space with high ceilings, exposed wood beams, and floor to ceiling retractable windows with ocean views and an upper balcony for outdoor weddings, receptions, and events overlooking the new pool.

Better experience than our first experience about a month ago. Two of us had bourbon glazed salmon it was amazingly good. Another had bourbon glazed shrimp skewers with bacon. That too was excellent. Servers were great. Much more organized than our first visit here. Glad we gave it another chance. Entertainment outside is great too

We had mixed reviews for our dinner at Black Drum. First, we were surprised to find that the brewery was not the brand but a mix of beers from everywhere. Secondly, there was an extensive Scotch, bourbon, and whiskey menu, so my husband was very happy. He ordered Macallan 22 neat as a before dinner drink. It came very cold, which is not how it should be served. Thirdly, I ordered a mojito which tasted like there was no alcohol added. As for food, my husband and son order the Tango, which was not only extraordinarily delicious fried chicken but also, an incredibly substantial meal and sides. My daughter and I did not fare as well. I had the fish and chips, and like my mojito, lacked flavor. Will we go back? I am unsure, but we would have to rethink at least 50% of the food we ordered.

Slow service and poor food quality compared to previous visits. Chick sandwich was nothing but two stringy fried tenders masquerading as a “24 hour marinaded breast”. The Mac and cheese was abysmal, dry and lacking any flavor other than stale pasta.

The ribs were supposed to be "St Louis" style, but we're baby backs. They were ok though. The drinks were a little slow, but no big deal.

Nice environment. Although the food was mid at best. Had the smoked chicken wings. Had a nice smoky flavor, but to dry. The burger was terrible considering the price. The shrimp was good.

Overall the location and restaurant are pretty but the food and service was awful. Waiters confused on who was serving us and stomping off, the food was luke warm and bland. The brisket had no seasoning and you couldn't even taste the "bourbon" in the chicken.

We enjoyed the food tremendously! Black Drum is a nice restaurant with a selection of local brews. The noise level was an issue because there were several tables beside us with a large group that had a few very loud people. We will definitely come back to enjoy more of the menu. The Bavarian Pretzel was light and fluffy; the Brisket and sides were yum; and the Solo Chicken was the bombdiggity!

Overall had a great experience here, only issue was the service was a little slow and the burger I got though it was good. It wasn’t worth $26, I thought it was going to be a massive burger by the description.
