   The appetizers (croque monsieur and pizza fritte) were very good. Three people ordered ribeye, which were good. One ordered trout, which was dry and "fishy", but was quickly replaced with fried chicken (very good). The biggest disappointment was the wine experience. Ordered their best bottle (Darrioush Caravan) but had to drink it from thick walled wine glasses that you might expect at an Applebee's or Chili's. If you are going to sell bottles of wine above $40, invest in proper glassware.

   Great menu, very well executed. Attentive but not cloying service. A reliably great evening out.

   Food was ok at best. Was served cool to cold. Waiter was not available for most of the meal. Had to ask for drinks, bread, water etc. Overall very disappointing I won't be back

   This spot is consistently good! The food is excellent and the staff is always friendly and accommodating.

   Waiter was very slow. Didn't come back to offer a glass of wine. My husband had nothing to drink. Could not accommodate vegetarian. Menu is very different than what shows on open table. When we asked for something to be different than menu they looked insulted. Food is very bland.

   The food and service were absolutely top notch. I was incredibly impressed with the variety of local farm-to-table ingredients, and just how seasonal the menu was. The presentation and execution were also very impressive.

   Chef Erik made us an amazing 4 course vegan dinner. It was amazing and everyone loved it. The service was outstanding and it was a wonderful dinner.

   Black Creek is a great spot. Simple decor, nice and clean. The food is really good. We started off with the Croque Monsieur Bites - delicious ham. We then had the Burger (excellent flavour without the need for a lot of extras), beef cheeks and a special fish wrapped in potato. All were very good, with great purees for the latter two that complimented the dishes. Notable here is the wine list. For such a small place this is well chosen, and the prices are very reasonable (apparently at the retail price plus $8 corkage - hard to beat). Service was attentive, but not intrusive, and guidance was good. Really recommend going out of your way to visit this place.

    Lovely! We met with a group of international friends and it was delicious, fun service and a cozy environment!
