Perfect spot for my birthday. Burger of the month was a steak sandwich and didn’t disappoint. Logan brought out our food and desert and was above and beyond. Highly recommend.

Terrible, Terrible experience. I would not go back to this place even if I could have whatever I wanted for free. The concept and space were done nicely but the execution is absolutely sub par. The music was too loud, our server was awful, the exit door which the workers used to come and go was constantly being slammed shut, the entry door which is in a supply room was poorly thought out! Every time someone came in there to get ice you could heard the ice crash into the plastic buckets very loudly and this was very distracting and not pleasant. The food was the same that you get at the State which is fine and the drink menu was nothing special. I have been to other speakeasy’s where it was a pleasant and enjoyable experience this was neither. In fact, I couldn’t wait to get off of the uncomfortable wicker chair and get out of there. No pictures were taken due to the rules of the speakeasy.

Fine. The good: the vibe is a dark and cool space! Clearly a lot of effort was put into creating a unique speakeasy environment. The drink menu was diverse and our cocktails were wonderfully creative and delicious. We had access to the food menu and split meatballs and a burger and would order both of those again. Sigh. There was not an effort to space out the groups-we were seated next to the only other group in the small venue, and their loud volume made it difficult to have a conversation. It would have been nice to at least begin our experience with a little elbow room. No other parties were seated during our visit. There was apparently a shift change during our visit, because multiple staff members were entering and exiting through a door that banged loudly each time they passed through to hug our server, check their hair in the mirror next to the bar, or chat. It was distracting and gave major break room vibes. The drink names were based on literary references and apparently the menu changes often. I only know this because of reading other reviews. It would have added to our experience to perhaps have an introduction to the menu-anything to make the experience more special and unique. Staff seemed disinterested and distracted. We were hoping for an experience, not just a tiny room added on to the main restaurant that seemed to be more of an inconvenience for the folks working that evening. This speakeasy could be magical with a few tweaks and attention to detail regarding service. It’s just far enough away for us to not make an effort for a second visit right now but I wish them well.

Service was awesome, drinks were delicious, ambiance was very cool. A couple more drink selections on the menu would be nice. Overall a great date spot and we will be back again.

My wife and I were looking forward to some drinks here. Showed up 15 mins early and had to wait for reservation time, just to find out the place was almost empty. Seats probably 25+ people and never had more than 8 the entire time wer were there. That's important, because you would think the service and attention of the staff would be great, but it wasn't. The menu drinks were good, but when asked to get a basic drink off menu the bartender said they only have ingredients for the menu stuff. The bartender and the girl that just fills water did nothing but talk to each other. Poor service, didn't pay attention to us at all and we sat right in front of them at the bar. We had to practically beg for a menu, then order food, and a second drink. Place looks great, but the service was horrible. I expect better since the State for the most part is great.

We were told that they didn’t have a reservation for us so we were sent away. Then I get emails stating I was a no show. I was there but was not given a seat.

So good! Quiet friendly environment. Drinks were well made. Food was great. Can't wait to see the next theme!!
