We often meet as a family at BA, and this visit was not up to par. The place was freezing. The mashed potatoes were cold, the veggies undercooked (and I like al dente). The staff were helpful, as always.
The Open Table reservation work great we got there only waited about 3 or 4 minutes the dinner was good and the waiter was was awsome it was a very enjoyable evening
Our overall experience with Black Angus over the years just keeps getting better and better. Our waiter was fantastic - can't recall his name - but sure you have it!! He was very attentive and most accommodating! The seating arrangements (booth set up) allows for a minimum noise factor.
Unfortunately the steak was full of gristle and this detracted from the meal experience .
I had a good time with my family and friends. This is my third time enjoying a good food and I will return
It was Mother’s Day. Cooks must have been in a hurry. Meat was under cooked and cold.
We will definitely be coming back!!! Even though our waiter was very busy he did check on us!!! Very pleasant dinner.
The food is great! We were seated in about ten minutes. I would come again.
We’ve been going to Black Angus for many years. The food is consistently good, and we like getting discounts with their generous coupons. My disappointment is with the service. The server was pleasant enough, and efficient when it came to refilling water and tea glasses. But the delivery of our food was so rushed and poorly timed, it became almost a joke. It wasn’t just the salads on top of the appetizers, the entrees on top of the salads—annoying enough, having plates pile up, but nothing new there. We were barely into our entrees when the server interrupted our conversation to press us for our dessert orders. It was almost comical, but in the end left me feeling unwelcome and uncomfortable.
Prime rib done perfectly to order... service was great!
My steak was cooked perfectly to order. The service was friendly and fast.
We have not visited the Black Angus in many years but are very glad to have returned. It was my husband's birthday and every dish ordered was superb. My son is vegan and the grilled vegetable salad met his needs with the elimination of the cheeses crumbles. I would suggest adding another vegan option or two to the menu, but overall we had a great dinner. Our server, Andrew, was friendly, knowledgeable and always available when needed.
Reliable food and always good service. Location is convenient to Lafayette
We have loved Black Angus in the past but we’re very disappointed this time and will not be returning. Our waitress was good but our drinks took over 30 minutes to arrive - 4 drinks. Then there was a terrible smell which lasted about 15 minutes. We were going to asked to be moved when my son-in-law noticed that there was a plumbing truck parked out front that seem to be doing some sort of service. Our food arrived in a timely manner but the macaroni and cheese was cold and did not taste very good. The onion rings for two people were called. The salmon dish that my daughter ordered did not taste good. I will say that my meal was excellent. My son-in-law said his cheeseburger was also cold. We were extremely disappointed and expressed this to our server. She was very kind and volunteered to get the manager. A couple of big parties had just arrived near us so at this point we said no, we just wanted to leave. The restaurant was not busy at all when we arrived so I am uncertain as to why the food was cold. We will not be returning.
Changed the green in the salad. Don’t like. Slow bar service
Service was great! Cleanliness was a little bit of an issue.
Good Steak house, service was good, quiet booth, price was reasonable
My dinner did not taste good, I was able to get it comped by the nice waiter.
The food at Black Angus is usually consistent. Good not great. The bread was over baked and crunchy. When we mentioned it to the waiter he said he noticed it and offered to bring another, but never did. Everything was just average. Our desert took so long we just canceled the order.
The experience didn’t inspire us to return.
Everything was excellent. Our waiter was great and the food was delicious.
We have enjoyed this restaurant for many years. I don't know if there was a change in chefs and wait staff but service and food were very poor. We will take our time going back.
The server was excellent the food was absolutely delicious especially marinated lamb chops. Great no glitches
Because it was Easter it was full so not the best day to judge noise, however the booths are a good place to hear people in your party.
Our waiter was fun as well as efficient.
Drinks were good.
Service well paced.
Our dinner was okay. Not bad, not great.
Had the same meal at Texas Roadhouse one week earlier and it was far better and actually cheaper.
We had a reservation made two days earlier for 4:15. We were told we couldn’t be seated until 4:30 because they didn’t have staff. Not my problem they can’t staff correctly. The restaurant wasn’t busy, which made it more perplexing and annoying.
I should also mention upon our arrival, there were 4 staff behind the hostess counter. One was busy with a customer, while the other 3 chatted away with each other, ignoring us for 3 minutes. Not a proper welcome.
They can do better.
The service was terrible; it took over 30 minutes to place an order and another 30 minutes before food was served. Some food arrived barely warm and not prepared as requested. We were overcharged for side dishes that was suppose to come with entrees. The General Manager did adjust our bill, but she was loud & boisterous. THIS WILL NOT BE A RESTRAUANT THAT WE WILL GO BACK TO. WE SUGGEST THAT YOU DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY AT THE BLACK ANGUS!
Mac n cheese was overcooked. Service was a little slow since we opted to eat in the bar area instead of the dining area to watch a ball game.
The quality of the food was very poor. It was dry and tasteless.
We went as a party of 6 with a reservation on Easter- we were seated promptly. Food took an hour with our children’s food arriving 20 minutes before the adults- we ideally wanted to eat at the same time. Food was good- my husbands prime rib was excellent and the bread was delicious as it always is.
The service was helpful and excellent. Food was very good. Everyone at the table was pleased,
GREAT! Our visits have always been terrific. The service, food and value are the reasons to go. Good place for dates and families. Good bar and bar menu.
This was our first time here since they re opened it. I felt like we waited more that we ate,the food was cold and over cooked on two of our orders lobster was like rubber, the steak was medium rare ( I ordered medium )service was slow and when they did come by they never refilled drinks I waited 15 for a Pepsi . Unfortunately we will not be returning
The staff and food were great
Had a wonderful dinner and enjoyed ourselves. We come here to have a nice dinner and we always do.
The food was good but the meat was a little taught we had to wait to long for the food to arrive also the desert maybe need more waitresses. I said we would recommend it to our friends but service had to improve if not you will be loosing costumers
Steak and lobster were good. Asked for decaf coffee and it was on Sunday about 5:30 pm and was told they did not have any decaf coffee grounds.
Great place. We started at 7 PM and closed the place down.
Even with a coupon, the price for the meal was quite expensive considering the quality of the food served. Our ribeye steaks were only about 1/2"-3/4" thick and our lobster tails were tiny. 3 meals out the door were $102 (with NO alcohol).
Been eating out for over 60 years, had the best waitress had in years.
We used the campfire dinner for two coupon. It was perfect! so was the atmosphere, the drinks, food ,service, I would definately recomend this place!
