Nice place, awesome drinks, however we ordered the lobster and crab fondue and it was horrible. It literally was cheese and garlic. We couldn’t taste or see any crab or lobster in the fondue all we can taste was garlic.
Our waitress was outstanding.
Excellent - great service, food and atmosphere
First time eating at black and blue steak and crab. The wait staff was knowledgeable and friendly. The steaks were cooked exactly to our order. The sides were family style and there was plenty for the table without excess. Overall very good experience and very enjoyable time.
Shari and Costas were great; very attentive. Food delicious!!!! Atmosphere gorgeous. Loud family next to us but they did not ruin the evening!!!!!
Unfortunately after weeks of looking forward to our visit, Black and Blue came up short. Despite making reservations weeks in advance for my husband’s birthday, we were seated at the far back of the restaurant in the bar, next to the kitchen with high traffic and two function rooms that both had events. We couldn’t even hold a conversation with the noise level (strike 1). My husband loves king crab and I picked this place because they are known for that - but they didn’t have any. Not just that night but we were told they stopped buying it because it was expensive and difficult to get. Ok, I understand the world we are living In, but maybe you want to say that on your website or in the reservation confirmation? (Strike 2). When the server was there he was a delight BUT he was also the bartender with a full bar. Despite the fact he had “runners/assistance”, we were left without water, served barely warm food and couldn’t get the check. Again, I understand 100% staffing challenges due to COVID but you are just setting up this server to fail. As mentioned, while the sides we got we pipping hot - the star of the show, the steaks and lump crab meat where barely warm. We tried to tell someone but eventually ate it before it got colder. I’ve read great reviews on this place, so maybe we just had an off night. The food was excellent quality, drinks were on point and like I said the servers were great when they go to us. Not sure if I will go back given the competition in the area.

Probably should have ordered a steak. Thé bisque was very heavy and thick. Would not chose that again.

Our server was great first and foremost. That was about where the greatness stops. Took a long time to get drinks from the bar to our table. Once we got the table appetizer and a side salad, there was a hair in the salad. Runner took the salad back to get a new one, but never told the waiter so the second salad took another 20 minutes. Took an hour to put in our entrees. One steak didn't come out with requested onions on it, neither sides came out with the steaks, the scallops were cold. Only nice thing is the manager did take the scallops off the bill. The steak was great as well. My recommendation would be, if it is a weekend, put the entrée and appetizers in together unless you want to be there for 3 hours.
Black and Blue is a great choice. It was our go to place in Williamsville NY and moved back to MA and so first time to Burlington location. The service was outstanding, can't think of another meal where service was so good. The absolute right level and timing of attention. Alex H is a real pro, thanks Alex. Food was excellent. We had the Lamb and Filet Mignon. Cooked perfectly and very tasty. Sides (mashed, mac and cheese, and asparagus) were also just right. Really great meal and experience.

The crab cakes and sea scallops were excellent. The service personnel were very attentive and personable. The ambience was just right for a bistro-like environment. It was a wonderful evening.

Service was OK, food was not great. Considering prices are comparable to capital Grille and Eddie V’s, go spend your money there. Was an anniversary, requested dessert with a candle, never came. Had to ask for bread, while other tables were offered it without requesting. No salt and pepper on tables, seems to be very inconsistent.
Everything was perfect for our special birthday celebration. The food was top notch and our servers, Alex and Kostas made us feel welcomed and cared for in a highly professional way. Delicious cocktails and a good wine list too. Prices while high, were not as high as steak houses can be and the value for the cost was better than others I have visited. My only suggestion would be to offer baked potato and some lighter vegetable sides; most were either creamy or buttery (but delicious!)
They let us bring in a birthday cake and served it- a nice and unexpected policy. All in all a great experience-we will be back!
My wife and I had the filet mignon and it was cooked perfectly as we requested. I added to my meal the au poivre which included string beans, french fries and two dipping sauces. I found the noise level to be very high and had difficulty hearing my wife. It was excellent meal but on the pricey side. We both would go back again.

This was our first time at Black and Blue. We treated ourselves to a dinner out in celebration our our anniversary. Our server was fantastic. She had a great personality and was very knowledgeable about the menu. The food was delicious.
Great service and terrific steaks cooked just right. Outdoor seating was a bonus.

It was mine and my husband's first time there. Food was great, was hoping for King Crab legs, but the food we got was amazing. Portions were big! The people that worked there were professional, friendly, and very attentive. Thank you!

The sides were okay and the steaks were prepared as instructed. I have never spent 3.50 per raw oyster in my life and especially not while living on a coast which was a disappointment. The waitress was pleasant but not around much. For the cost of the meal it would have been nice to have a sommelier to discuss wine profiles with. Overall good but not great.
Expensive not exceptional. black and blue steak and crab seemed to be trying to be a more contemporary version of Smith & Wollensky. We had dinner in Burlington with old friends and were slow to put in our orders but we eventually ordered drinks, then starters and finally entrees and dessert. The main server was patient but the rest of the staff dropped off food as if we were parked on the curb expecting takeout. One server placed a hot dish of mashed potatoes saying "You want potatoes?"???? Our small table was full of dishes and no one wanted to remove them when they came to drop off a new dish. The steak was excellent and came rare as ordered. The scallops were also cooked perfectly. There is a lot of butter and oil and salt to heighten the flavor. Another turn off was the disregard for mask protocol. While employees all had masks there were several that wore their masks below their noses. We are already rethinking our comfort with indoor dining and this is not a restaurant we would return. Food was good but definitely overpriced. Overall good quality food but service below par for the price points.

Best steaks in Boston. Better than all the rest including Capital Grill. Prices are typical for steak & seafood high end. Service is very good and friendly. First steak house ive been to in Boston that knows what Pittsburg Style cooked really is. Each of us ordered steak (2xNY Sirloin, 1xFilet, 1Ribeye) cooked differently and all were cooked perfectly. Appetizers and deserts were both good and somewhat unique. Side dishes (for sharing) were excellent and there was great choices. 5star.

It's our second time there (first time was during restaurant week) and the food was once again outstanding. The calamari and Wagyu meatballs are fantastic for appetizers, as were the oysters. The grouper and salmon were perfectly cooked and seasoned, and were amongst the best dishes we had ever had. Martinis are a good size and bargain. A little on the pricey side, but a great value. Will continue to go back. It was bookable on Open Table.
Whenever we are in the area visiting our oldest son in college, we always eat here. Being from Austin, we have really good food, however we have yet to find the most amazing shrimp and lobster fondue...until we ate at this restaurant! Service is always great and the ambiance is vibrant.
