Raw pork was served. Another entree or replacement was offered, but I said my appetite was gone. Instead of offering anything else at all to make it right, the manager just walked away. Yes, the meal was removed from the bill. But that’s an expectation. It was shocking to be in a “fine dining” establishment and be treated as if I stopped in in my sweats.

First time at the restaurant. We were looking for a romantic place and, although the decor and place settings, the noise was so loud that we needed to lean into another and talk quite loud to hear one another. The service was the best. Loved Neal and Brian! Will request them again when we return. Both extremely nice and very knowledgeable about the menus. The food was extremely over the top in flavor! The She Crab soup is so good that we could come and have that, a glass of wine and a dessert and be very satisfied. Speaking of dessert, which we took home, it was scrumptious! We did speak with the wait staff in the front and said we had heard such wonderful things about the restaurant and, one of the responses was I’ve heard that! Guessing the cost of the meals there are unaffordable to a lot of the staff. I believe that it would help your restaurant if you allowed sampling of items to your workers in the front of the kitchen. This gives them a sense of appreciation and also they would be a great mouthpiece for more wonderful reviews and bring in more business. Besides the noise level, horribly loud, the only other thing we were disappointed in was no coffee with Kalua and Bailey’s on the menu. Also for our take home bags, our sauces weren’t added into the boxes. Disappointing. We will definitely be back again.

We had a great experience! Our steaks were cooked perfectly and our waiter, Joe, was able to answer all of our questions and was very attentive. We were not rushed through our meal and the pace at which we were served was great. We look forward to going back!

Thank you for accommodating an additional couple. The atmosphere was great, drinks were just ok. The food arrived cold and the wait staff forgot to place a dinner order (salmon). On the upside, we were not charged for the late meal and ordered a another round of drinks while we waited for our guest to finish his meal.

Beautifully decorated for New Year's Eve. Seated immediately. Service excellent. Two servers. Wine, water and app served quickly. LOVE the warm pretzel rolls and whipped butter served before we ordered. I had filet mignon. Found it very tender, cooked exactly as ordered, but didn't have much flavor. First dinner companion got the sirloin/lobster tail special. He loved it but I did not like the sort of smoked flavor given to everything, even the lobster. Third dinner companion got the T-bone, loved it. Fourth got the ribeye-a bit charred on the outside, inside cooked as ordered, said it didn't have much flavor. we all liked our sauces. Ordered desserts, one loved the pie. The ice cream said it was three scoops, waitress said it would actually be one "big" scoop but when served it was really one small scoop. Check came quickly and was processed quickly.

Service is always good there. Food is always enjoyable as well. I don’t understand how their reservation system works. Could not get a reservation past 4 pm yet the tables were half empty the entire time we were there. It was after 6 when we left.

Our friend group of eleven, whom only have the opportunity to get together 2x per year, had a great night at Black & Blue steak and crab. Our servers were kind and attentive. The filet that the lion share of us had was perfectly prepared and well seasoned. Several folks had fish and enjoyed their choices as well (scallops and red snapper specifically. The mashed potatoes, hash browns, Mac and cheese and kale, were nice accompaniments and our appetizers were great. Overall, we had a lovely time! The only complaint was that food came out slowly but it was worth the wait!

On a Wednesday after the Christmas holiday, my family of four came in for dinner. Even though the restaurant was full, our reserved table was waiting and we had impeccable service from there. Our server spent a lot of time explaining the meals and suggesting items for us. We especially enjoyed the Tuna Tartare appetizer and Scallop entree. Our server suggested Manhattans to go along with the Lamb entree, and my husband and son LOVED it - a must try according to them. This is a special place, and we felt valued by the wonderful service we enjoyed.

Had an excellent dinner there, filet mignon was perfect. Started with Shrimp cocktail, oysters on the half shell and crab cake. My wife had the duck, my sister had the lamb. Finished off with Key Lime Pie - best I've ever had and Creme Brulee. Kenji was excellent at taking care of us. It's our favorite steak place in Albany, by far!!
