BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse - Richmond
Good food, service a bit slow and uninterested, reasonable prices for the meal.
Great food and service. No wait. Had open table reservation noted. Restaurant temp very cold.
The food was excellent but the service was terrible. We had to beg to get our water glasses refilled, we waited forever for our food - waitress only came by once to see how our food was. Tea was never refilled. She would wait on tables around us but for our table of 4 she ignored. We ordered, mix drinks, appetizers, a meal and dessert so it wasn't like we didn't spend enough money. If I going to spend that kind of money for a meal I would have atleast had our water & tea glasses refilled.
Server was nice but messed up my order and for what is always a busy Friday night they were extremely slow.
Beware making a "reservation" on Open Table. All it does is gets you on the call ahead list. Don't call it a reservation unless you intend to seat people at the time of their reservation. I don't like being told it will be an additional 35-40 minute wait when we check in at our reservation time. Many other people made similar comments when checking in for their "reservation."
Only thing to complain about is they don’t take reservations. So using opentable is useless as they only have call ahead. Need to address this.
No reason to make a reservation ! We arrived 10 minutes early and waited 40 minutes to be seated. Food for the 6 of us arrived at 3 different times, 5 minutes apart each, with a side of fries arriving as we finished our meal. No drink refills - had to ask multiple times. Terrible experience.
Ribeye steak was full of fat & gristle and the ribs were tough. Grilled chicken breasts were perfectly cooked and was the sirloin steak.
We were seated at the time of our reservation. Wide variey of food, but rather small portions.
Waited 25 min more after arriving 5 min before reservation time. Barely saw waitress and food took forever. Quinoa bowl had barely any quinoa in it. Salad didn’t come out with all the toppings listed on the menu. Restaurant was freezing. Literally nothing good about this encounter.
They did not know about opentable and looked at me like I was crazy.
The initial service was very bad. I reserved a table at 7:45pm and our party of 5 was not seated until 8:25pm due to the hostesses mix up. They confused us with another party, which had 13 guest. Once they discovered they made a mistake we were immediately taken to our table. No apology from management was provided and no concessions were offered. Luckily we had a great waitress who managed to salvage the night. She was awesome. The hostesses tasked with seating guests were lackluster at best.
A great seating layout. Sound is muffled by seating booths. Service staff was well educated on the extensive menu and a huge draft selection.
Met with relatives for a late lunch, while the food and service was great. It did take a bit to actually get our food.
Appetizer came out burnt, like so obviously burnt that it shouldn’t have even have been brought to our table. Two of us ordered a prime rib dip. It came out cold with barely any meat on it. The fries where ice cold too. We asked for fresh fries and they arrived 30 minutes later. The restaurant was not busy so there was no real excuse for this. We will not be returning anytime soon.
Father’s Day dinner
My husband and I always have a good time dining at BJs. It was a casual day and it wasn’t that busy so it was nice. There are plenty of tvs to watch games on - for the sports enthusiast.
