BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse - Valencia
Good service and atmosphere
One of the most busiest BJ's so even with reservations, there was a long wait. Luckily, we got to be seated in the bar with no waiting. The nachos here were not as big or as great as the one in Woodland Hills so it was kind of disappointing. It's amazing how these chain restaurants can't control their consistency across their brands. We were just glad we got seated right away, but the food did take a while to get to us.
The Ahi Tuna in the Ahi Tuna salad are a bit small in proportions, could use a bit more. The Jambalaya is great, but could be a bit less salty. Other than that, a good experience overall. The BJ chain is becoming a stable place to go, competing against places like Claim Jumpers.
Great food and service but it was very noisy in the indoor patio
I’m not the one to be writing a horrible review but today was just terrible. Especially in the sense of service. I’ve visited this place multiple times before and it’s never been this bad. I order avocado egg roll as the appetizer along with the drinks. The drinks came in and we waited for the appetizer. After a while we gave our order for main course thinking the appetizer would be on its way. I had to remind the waiter again to see what was taking so long especially because the main course arrived before the avocado egg rolls. He went and checked to see what was taking so long and after a moment he came back to say there was a mix up and it would take 5 minutes. It took another 20 minutes before he brought out the appetizer. By then we were over half way done with the meal. The service today was just horrible. The waiter said it was on the house but by then it was already too late and just wanted to leave the place. I hope they improve on their service next time.
Amazing service and food! My table was ready immediately as we arrived.
My only comment really pertains to the training the restaurant employees are not applying when checking in customers using Open Table. This is the second time my reservation was considered a No Show because the host did not check me in correctly via Open Table. The other time was at Saddle Ranch at the same location ,Westfield Valencia. More training ???
Reservations don't seem to matter at BJ's. We're arrived a few minutes before our time. We were told that there are several people ahead of us and our wait would be 30-40 minutes. I clarified that we had reservations while the people ahead of us did not. I was then told that they are very busy and that the reservations didn't matter. At that point it was too late for us to find another place to dine so we waited.
Fortunately our server Robert was attentive and the food was very good. These saved the overall rating. But not sure if we'll be back given the poor check in experience.
I had a wonderful Birthday at BJ’s. Food and service outstanding and being able to reserve a table in advance was a plus.
The double bone pork chop was amazing!
We went in on Sunday night waiter was more into the Football game than he was to being worried about serving us. Food was brought out and no utensils to eat with! Also asked for a salad which he never brought to me. Restaurant was nice and clean but the service I recieved from my waiter was horrible!!
All I can say is LUNCH for 2 people was $60 for one zucchini noodle dish, one soba noodle dish, one mojito, and an iced tea. No apps, salads, nothing. Just this. Absolute rip off. I would have ponied up for a steak next door at Larsens over this. Completely over priced. Go somewhere else. Chilis food for steak prices.
Our dining experience was great! Food, service & ambiance was good but it was a bit noisy!!
We arrived shortly before our reservations. We were seated almost immediately. However, the table was in the corner and was really a tight fit for the four of us. We made do as we were on a schedule for a later event. The food was very good but my order contained noodles which some were hard from sitting out. The order was only warm not hot.
Good bar type food. Great place to meet friends for an enjoyable meal. Very good bar menu with great choices in drinks.
My friend ordered a Screwdriver and fish and chips. I ordered spaghetti and meatballs and water. No appetizers, no desserts. My friend said the fish was dry and over cooked. Her French fries were good. My spaghetti was ok but the meatballs were mushy and had little taste. The bill came to fifty-three bucks. I’ve had better spaghetti and meatballs at Denny’s. Also, my glass was empty halfway through my dinner and I had to ask twice before someone appeared and filled it. It was not a good evening.
Celebrated a birthday! Fun service good food!
Honestly bad service and when we asked for things it would take forever to received. Example asked for A1 Sauce and they brought us an empty bottle. Really?
It was my daughters birthday and they obviously didn’t think it was a big deal. No acknowledgement of the occasion.
Pretty cool that you can buy movie tickets for the theater across the street for a discount.
