BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse - Towson
This should have been an easy night but it turned out to be anything but that. I was very specific when I told the server that I had a gluten allergy so when she put my order in, after checking with the chef, I expected it would be fine. But it wasn't it. All dinners were served and mine had to go back. I waited for more than 20 minutes while my two dinner mates finished their meals. Finally the manager came over and apologized. My meal was coming and it would be free along with a free dessert for the other two. That really helped and the salad was delicious, but I'm not sure I'll be back there any time soon.
The food was delicious, as usual. And a $3 pazooki is the perfect finish to our meal. FIVE star!
Staff at door were a bit distracted because of a large party. Open table thought I did not keep my reservation. Food was good and waiter was good.
Food was not good. My pregnant fiancé received an uncooked burger. I won’t be coming back here again.
This was my first time at BJ's and I will be back. The menu is enormous and we had trouble deciding, but my sister and I both loved our choices. The food came quickly and our waitress was terrific.
I went to BJs recently for my birthday with friends. The waiter called me by the wrong name and age at least twice, screwed my meal up out of everyones at the table (there were five of us), and it took twenty minutes to get a second beer, as well as the correct meal. No discount was taken off my bill. I am a waitress, so I would understand if the waiter was more apologetic, or if it was the weekend and the restaurant was busy; but this was not the case. Very disappointed.
We were here a few months ago and enjoyed a good meal. It was our first time there. We had just watched the Avengers movie this past Saturday and decided to eat there again. Our experience this past weekend was nothing like our inaugural visit. We did get right in despite being about 20 minutes early for our reservation. They were pretty busy so it took a bit for the waitress to approach us after we had been seated. It was understandably ok. Since we knew we may not see her again for a while after ordering our drinks, we ordered both drinks and food at the same time. I had the Parmesan Crusted Chicken with a wedge salad. My wife had some shrimp special. Wedge salad was good. Our entrees were promptly delivered. My dish included mashed potatoes and broccoli. The potatoes were pretty good. Broccoli that was not under the two chicken breasts was cold. The chicken itself was very dry and bland. After our waitress delivered our food, we never saw her again. We never did get water and, given how dry my meal was, I could have used it since my beer was gone. She never stopped by to see how our meal was.
Given the restaurant is batting .500, we will probably give it one more try before omitting it from any further consideration. I'm normally ok with the service being bad if the food is worth it. In this case, it was a loss on both sides. If they can't get it right on our next visit, we won't be back.
It's a good restaurant with several choises. The only issue we had was that the service was slow. It might have been the time that we went. Would try it again. Beers are great.
We went on a Sunday afternoon so it wasn't too crowded, which was nice. Our server was friendly and attentive. The food was delicious. Highly recommend the fries. I ordered an American Mule and it was great. We will definitely visit here again.
Food was just ok, dessert brownie was almost raw. Would not visit again.
The perfect location to celebrate my daughter's birthday. The food was delicious and our server was wonderful. Even with birthday cake, we still finished with a Pazookie!
We had a great time with great service. Definitely recommend a Pizookie, it was AMAZING. It is a quieter restaurant if your'e looking for a lively/loud environment its not for you.
the server was not very attentive
One star - we had a reservation, which seemed to confuse the staff at the front door
We were eventually seated in an almost deserted section, where we sat for TEN MINUTES before anybody came to check on us
Once our food order was placed (no appetizers, just 3 entrees) we then sat for another 30 minutes
Once the food finally arrived we had to ask for plates/silverware/napkins
After finishing our meal we sat for another TEN MINUTES with nobody checking on us - this type of service explains why there’s always a mass of people at the door
Also, our utensils were dirty, but nobody ever came back to bring us clean ones
Will not return.
Very busy on Saturday night. We had to ask for our beers to come after a while. Our beers came after confusion in the kitchen (not brought by our waitress but by another server who didn't know which table and which beer was which). We had to ask again for the appetizer. The chips and queso took 1/2 hour. Main dishes came fast after that. Waitress was nowhere to be seen. Never apologized for the delay. We asked for the check and another server cashed us out (she did apologize). But, still, the waitress should have checked in on us more regularly and offered explanations for the long time. I enjoyed my chicken pita tacos, but I don't need to return.
Great waitress, not too good food
First time at BJs. Food was very good. Service was really poor. It took forever to get someone to take over drink orders. The food took some time but was worth the wait. However, the service was poor. The server never came back to ask about refills or to take our main entree dishes after we completed the main meal. The server didn’t bother to remove the entree dishes before or after we got our deserts... all of our dishes are still on the table even after I have paid the bill. No excuse. Not sure if it was our server or this is the standard.
Took forever to get our 1st waitress. Then ended up with a 2nd waitress. Someone took my mom’s burger before it came out. The manager was very rude and kept making excuses for their mistake. He never apologized. Her burger finally arrived when the rest of the table was done. My fiance’s burger was under cooked. As well my mom’s burger. We had a party of 6. We would have ordered dessert but after the rude manager. All we wanted to do was get out of there. We will never go back.
Having made 7:30 reservations, our party was seated promptly. It was moderately busy, but we didn’t have to wait too long to order. Our waitress Jada was very friendly and patient, since it was the first time at that particular restaurant. The food was really good with large portions.
It’s definitely a family friendly atmosphere, and plenty of space to enjoy your meal. Parking in the garage to the rear of the movie theatre is best, and also cheap. You can’t beat three dollars for an hour and a half. I would definitely be back and recommend it to family and friends.
This BJ's is in a nice area. The Towson Mall and Movie theater are within walking distance. You can also make reservations through Open Table or their app if you're shopping in the mall. The restaurant inside is very open and cozy. If you've ever been to a BJ's you know the menu is huge. You can pretty get whatever you have a taste for. There are alot of TVs inside for watching sports and good amount of bar space/area. Pretty good place to grab a bite to eat with family and/or friends.
Our food was great! Our server, Omar, was excellent. The only problem was the restaurant had no heat and it was 12F outside. Brrrrr! The manager came around and apologized but I think as a courtesy to the customer that put up with the frigid temperature of the restaurant they should have given a 10% discount on the checks.
Our meal at BJ's was great! We were seated promptly upon our arrival. Our server, Priscilla, was great - efficient and friendly! Our food was great - buffalo wings, cheese curds, potstickers, Nashville Hot sandwich and the pork chop were are delicious! Definitely recommend and we'll return!
The menu is huge - so big that it's hard to make a decision but the food was great and our server was quick to come back and check on us. -There are a ton of other things I want to go back and try.
The PERFECT restaurant to take your date before or after a movie ... or even just to grab something delicious to eat. Even if they are crowded, check Open Table for openings (they almost always have an open table available). I tried the steak for the first time and it was delicious.
Better then our first experience
This was our first visit, but won't be our last. The food was delicious and the service was great. This was especially impressive as it was crowded.
Traveling through Baltimore on Thanksgiving. Trusted Open Table to find an open restaurant. Made this reservation several days in advance. Pulled up with my family to find BJs closed. It took us another hour to find someplace to eat. Will not trust Open Table again.
Well times have changed went to the restaurant about 1 year ago loved it so much in fact I made a reservation to celebrate my niece's birthday! So disappointed waited nearly a hour for our food and when it finally did arrived it was cold and tasteless. The appetizers should have been my red flag. Wasted time and most of all money. Birthday dinner an epic fail
Very good overall experience, as usual. Love their expansive menu options. Nice, comfortable atmosphere. Efficient, friendly service.
We both ordered the rib eye steak which was cooked exactly as requested. The sides were also very good.
The waitperson was soft spoken and at times had to ask to repeat self. The individual appeared not very interested and other absorbed. It was a very paculiar experience.
Shae our waiter was GREAT he mad3 us laugh and since I was having a difficult time ordering Shae said I got you! Told him what I liked and he made excellent choices. With the drinks I ordered 2 for myself and food. Shae made it worth while and we found out it was his birthday which showed his dedication working on his birthday.
We did not enjoy our meal here. I was extremely disappointed. We came here for my birthday celebration and the food was not good. All the food came out over cooked/burnt. And items were missing from certain meals and by the time the missing food came out, it was around the same time that we were asking for the check. It was very unfortunate, and we will not be returning.
Loaded baked potato barely had any toppings and it wasn’t fully cooked. I loved the potato skins so I ordered some to go before we paid and finished our meal it took 30 minutes for them to come out. Salmon was good and broccoli was as well. Wings were great.
Without a doubt the worst service ever. Waitress took wrong order. Kitchen delivered cold food and it took forever to get our order. We asked, and the manager agreed, to replace our server. Manager never compensated us for a terrible experience. Terrible experience.
Just great. The food was awesome. My waiter kept a smile on me and my date face. And I just love it. So damn great
We had a great time and will definitely be back
We had a great time at BJ's brewhouse and pub. The drinks, both mixed and their own beer were delicious. The appetizers were tasty. The main course was prepared perfectly. Unfortunately the chicken in one of our main courses was tough- due to genetic defect- no fault of restuarant. What did they do- brought out an entire new entree that was just as good if not better than what we ordered. No hard time, no bad attitude, just great service from our waitresses and the manager. We'll definitely be going back!
Menu is extensive. There were 6 people in our party. We all ordered something different. All 6 dishes were raved about by each individual. Will definitely go again.
Once we were seated, service was very good, helpful, courteous, timely. However, we waited half an hour to be seated after our reservation time. There were empty tables-maybe they were for certain groups. However, we were there with grandchildren and it was a long wait.
It was OK for kids and grandparents with a large variety of food. However, we would not go back as an older couple mainly because of the wait time and the parking. The food was as represented, good, not special.
