BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse - The Rim
I was told that the prime rib was excellent and that I should order it. I ordered it medium rare but it came in rare. They did fix it and made it medium rare. That said, it was probably one of the toughest pieces of meat that I’ve ever eaten. I have been to BJ’s no less than 25 times in Portland Oregon and this was my first time here in San Antonio. I’m a huge fan of the Santa Fe salad so I will be back. recommendation: 1. The chef needs to cut the prime rib with the same knife you provide. This way they will be able to tell what the customer will eat.Although cooking a ribeye lip on for four hours should help it to be a more tender, cooking it low and slow.at 200* will give it a better flavor and be more tender. Also, I would look into changing out your knives.
Service was very good as usual.
This restaurant is one of the better BJs. Consistently good service and good. Your host station needs work, but, am happy with everything else. Great food and drink options. Next time I’ll save room for dessert.
Service was awful! We waited 15 minutes to be greeted by server (we had to go ask the hostess to find our server) she told us something that was in a beer was ice condensation (it was not...something solid and GROSS). Food was just plain bad. Over cooked and cold. Then she brought us the wrong bill. The manager came to “apologize” that we waited so long...but made no offer to compensate.
The food is awesome and at great value. If you are looking for a formal celebration but low on budget, BJ is perfect for you
Easter Lunch! Extended Family, 5 adults 2 kids all went very well! Love it that they brought coloring books and a small fruit bowl and bread for kids during wait. Had a great Easter lunch and visit with family.
It was phenomenal! The food, service and ambiance were perfect.
Had a good time & we never felt rushed.
Service and are always consistently outstanding!
Overall dining experience was outstanding...great food, service and value for my money.
Food is very good and while not cheap, a good value for the quality. Weekend Prime Rib special is a secret steal - steakhouse quality, big portion for $29 and includes a pizookie for dessert! On weekends, it is very crowded and very loud, with a lot of big parties. Parking is difficult as the lot is too small and they charge $5 for valet, so nobody uses it. OpenTable reservation is a must have - we got right in while others were waiting an hour to be seated.
Birthday dinner. We had a great experience
