Dined with my daughter. Waiter (Rick) was very personable - great service! The food was excellent! Snapped pics and sent to several friends.

Made a reservation and still had to wait 15 minutes once we checked in. Why take reservations?
Service was slow and no one was in the restaurant. Food was just ok.
Our server Monte was superb. As fellow industry executives, we understand the need for great customer experiences especially with COVID-19. The restaurant was a little nippy but that may have just been me.

Generally, lunch time @ BJ's isn't too busy but on Veterans Day, it was. The food is good but due to the increased patronage, the food sat in the kitchen too long. My chicken was cool. The salad was great. Our waitress was very busy but tried her best to keep our lunch service moving. We will go back as we realize this was an unusual occurrence.
The food was ok but it took a little over an hour from when we ordered to when we got our food. An hour at a restaurant with two bored and hungry kids is not fun.
Huge selection of food items including lower calorie options. Our large party fit in two tables close by. Server very pleasant. Social distancing measures in place. Great time to celebrate a birthday.

Not happy with the way the host provides seating. I made a table reservation, showed up on time. People came after us seated first and they made us to wait appears unfair. After we asked, they showed us the table. I may not go again if host behaves like this!!
It was very nice, except the hostess was very rude !

Although our intention was to sit outside in the "parklet", we ended up selecting an interior table due to the oppressive heat. We were the only occupied table in our section and one of half a dozen in the entire restaurant! As a result, we were a bit disappointed with the experience given the attention we should have been receiving. The service was both inattentive and inconsistent. The server forgot a few items we requested and didn't seem very familiar with the menu. The food was so-so, although my wife did seem content with her Pale Ale Chili.
We’ve been 3 times since they’ve been able to reopen. Clean , good food and service each time.
I went for my birthday . Due to covid the host told us they don’t accept reservations . I made one but they could’ve called and said that . We waited and for sat around 7:19 but we arrived around 6:45. Our appetizers came out around 8 and our food came out about 8:45. The orders were wrong it took like 10 minutes for drinks it just was a horrible experience
We made three visits to BJs since they’ve reopened during the pandemic. The dining room is clean, servers are very good. We feel safe and relaxed with the precautions that are being taken. Food is well prepared, and served hot. These folks are doing a very good job under such restricting, and trying conditions. Well worth the trip!

We enjoyed our dinner at BJ’s. We had the Prime rib dip and the prime rib was very tender. The au jus sauce was very salty though. My husband got the spaghetti and meatballs and he said the sauce was too sweet for him. My grandson got the ribs and they were chewy. I will be back because I love their ham and cheese grilled sandwich on the parmigiana crusted bread which is my favorite. I just want to try something different.
Not all BJ Restaurants are the same. I have been to 2 or 3 others and had a great experience. I have tried this one in Columbia twice for dinner in the past 8 weeks. In both cases, the service was awful. Food was not served to the entire party at one time. Most recently, we were a party of 5 and instead of serving from both sides of the table, the server continually reached across or forced us to pass food and drinks across 2 others to get to the opposite side. You couldn't hear her to place your order so instead of walking around to the others side of the table, the server responded with an apology that her voice was soft, meaning "not her problem". I ordered a chicken entree dish and the piece of pre-sliced chicken was smaller than you would expect on top of a salad, much less a main entree. Bad service and poor controls of food leaving the kitchen is indicative of poor management. DON'T SAY YOU HAVEN'T BEEN WARNED!!
The food at BJ's is always good. I think that is why I keep coming back. BUT the service either hit or miss. During this visit, I decided to make our reservation through OpenTable. When I arrived with our group of 6, I checked in at the hostess stand and was told we had to wait 2 hours for a table! Even with a reservation. The hostesses were very rude. We left and went to another restaurant instead. Then came back when our reservation was called 45 minutes later. They set us down at a very small booth when I had requested a table on our reservation.
Thirty minutes after our initial 45 minutes, we were seated at a table. But they had two larger parties and sandwiched us in between them. They moved those tables so close to use, we couldn't get out of our seats for the entire meal and our server (who was great, but overly busy) could barely get through with our food and drinks.
I love their food but I'll never go back on a weekend again.
We have attempted to go to BJs several times (10) and i can state that sadly we have only received a combination of good food and good service one time.
Today, my sons birthday, the food was beyond bland the tortilla soup was over salted and my medium rare steak had to be sent back because it came out alone before all of the other entrees. None of this was the servers fault. The table was never bussed before the food came out we had to stack the plates ourselves the server was slow coming to check on us after the food was dropped and they didn’t celebrate my sons 12th birthday at all I was told by the server ‘we aren’t allowed to do that here’ and my reply was ‘anymore??’ He flat out lied and said yes. That IS the servers fault. I spoke to a female manager and her reply regarding the steak coming out early was pointless and the server just shrugged his shoulders and said i don’t know what happened. And walked away. After this experience my son finally understands why I don’t like eating here so we won’t be back. Spending over $200 for dinner is fine spending it with lack luster service and bad food should not be a thing. Beyond disappointing.
Had a reservation that was made a week ahead at 3
2:30pm, wasn’t seated until after 3pm. What’s the point of a reservation?
Great time for my mom's bday! Would recommend , just make sure you.make a reservation it's pretty busy.
We made a 6:30 reservation and didn't get seated until 7:10.
The food here never disappoints. The menu is expansive. I really appreciated that when I called to let BJs know that we were running late it was not an issue. When we arrived later than planned...it was not an issue and when half of our party was not there because they were traveling from Gaithersburg and got stuck in traffic, they still seated us. This will be our family "lets go out and celebrate" something spot!!!
In general it was a great time. We like BJ's.
Tonight, despite a request in Open Table AND a verbal request when we arrived for a table "off to the side" and "not in the center", we were placed at a table, not a booth. In the center section. That table was next to the servers ramp and the restrooms, right in the main traffic flow of the restaurant. We got it straightened out eventually, but not without feeling like we were significantly inconveniencing the staff.
After that, the meal was very pleasant.
Typical sports bar fare with perhaps a few more options than most places. Food can be hit or miss between locations, but our Columbia visit left everyone pleased.
The servers at BJ's are always so friendly and helpful AND patient. The menu has a variety of choices, many with a unique and tasty treat. I had the clam chowder soup bowl, where the restaurant even buttered and toasted the cap taken off to pour in the soup. With it a had a delicious Calabrese side salad--each ingredient was fresh and flavorful. So glad I've discovered this wonderfully atypical brewhouse.
Food took longer than normal.
Horrible service.
We waited 30 minutes past our reservation time then when we were seated, no one even acknowledged us for another 30 minutes. When we asked for a server we were told that the hostess would let someone know. She had an attitude and never did tell anyone. After receiving a waitress she never came back to check on us. The restaurant wasn't super busy either. We watched other families leave because they had been waiting so long as well as ask why no one acknowledged them for long periods of time. If I could give 0 stars I would. We were there for almost 3 hours and were only spoken to maybe three times. Unless you want to be disrespected and have 3 hours to waste, don’t go here for not so great food.
The server provided lackluster service, however the food was delicious.
The Hostess had trouble finding my reservation so we had to wait, and then large parties that came after us were seated. We waited a long time and the food was cold. Tevin took excellent care of us despite the wait.
Fun place, great staff. Very busy!
