BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse - Cary
Had a very good experience. The gluten free menu was very good.
Everything was great
Party of 5, made reservations for 8:30 and they were nice to seat us at 8:00. 4 out of the 5 ordered steaks and 3 out of the 4 came out wrong. Two steaks were sent back to cook more. They were still medium well when they came back even though we asked for well done. By that time everyone had finished their meals and we did not want to wait. I mentioned it to the server and he said the meat was slow cooked for hours so to ask for it well done was not normal. I called the manager later that evening to tell him about our experience and he said he wished I had told him in person. I explained to him we had a guest with us and I wanted to give him the opportunity to make it right before I posted a bad review. He told me to ask for him the next time we came and he would make sure everything was cooked 100% at that visit. We love BJ’s but this was a bad experience and a lot of excuses were made with no resolution of the problems.
Great atmosphere and great food, service and value.
Great food. Tables were well spaced apart. Curtis was fantastic as our waiter. We will be back.
Everything was great 👍 I would definitely be going back i had a great time 😌
First night in Cary and I used Open Table to book my dinner reservations. BJ’s was very similar to an Applebee’s which we do not consider a fine dining.. Yet, I requested that my salad be totally chopped into bite size pieces and the order came just as I had ordered it which made me fill terrific to see that the chef takes the orders seriously.
Opentable doesn’t actual reserve you a table. It puts your name on a list and brings it to the top depending on the amount of reservations at the time you arrive. You could still have to wait a while to be seated. The host was very rude, didn’t care that we had a reservation, didn’t ask for a name, didn’t care how many were in our party. He yelled at us and two other families that the wait time was ridiculous when the room was pretty empty. He told the couple that came in first 10-15 us 25-30 and the couple after us 45-50 min. Needless to say we didn’t wait that long. Waitress was bad! Struggled with our orders and didn’t have the best attitude. I used to love this restaurant but probably won’t return after this visit.
It seems like they have done everything that they can to make diners feel comfortable in these trying times. Separate tables, everyone with masks and no menus to handle . And the food was very good.
Great service! Even with COVID-19 restrictions, we received superior service.
Good food and excellent waitress!
The food was great ad service to match. Must always have a pizookie
My husband and I had the orange pogrkchop and it was simply to die for!!!!
First time here and did not disappoint! Started at bar and had a great mixed drink. Easy transaction, off to table to join friend. Helpful wait staff. Awesome grilled salmon and vegetables! Great chips and salsa and great drink, round two. Like the seating and general feel in the place... and the socioeconomic of patrons. Will visit again, soon!
Made a reservation- so we were sat quickly. But it took a while for waitress to come over. Then we ordered beers and that took a while. Waitress was not friendly at all, and seemed to have attitude. Food was ok- but not great. Beer was good though! Probably won’t return
This was only the 2nd time we have been but both times the food and the service was excellent and they have a nice selection of beers. They do get busy so I recommend making a reservation. We would go a lot more often if they were closer to our house.
First time at BJs. I ordered the steak and ribs. The steak was very good and tender but the ribs were dried out and not very tasty. Wife ordered the Parmesan crusted chicken. This too was over cooked and just fair. Also, her mashed potatoes were dry and not eaten. The service was fine and we were there with friends. Unfortunately, a disappointment. Not likely to return.
Our first time there. Really enjoyed the food and our server was great.
great selection and foid and service
My wife and I love to come to BJ's. The food is always wonderful and as a beer drinker, well, there is plenty to choose from. The wait staff is always very friendly and attentive.
Overall, the service was excellent and the food is always a pleasure to my tastebuds. Servers are upbeat, informative and very polite. The only "negitive" part of this review is I we felt rushed to leave (most recent visit only). Our waiter asked if we would like boxes for our food when we weren't done feeding. Again, not a huge deal but overall, we're very pleased everytime we come here for a date night. Thank you very much.
Love their food, husband is hooked on their Jambalaya, i had appetizer of ribs cooked in root beer AWESOME and a small wedge salad, and our neice had a great burger. We will be back, for sure.
We were at BJ's to celebrate a family birthday and it was fantastic! Our server was wonderful and the food was delicious. The bonus birthday pizookie was perfect.
Very satisfying food. Attentive server. Priced a bit higher than standard offerings in the area, but worth it once in a while.
50 minutes to get served 1 beer. Horrible wait between ordering and being served food! 2nd time the service was this horrible
The only thing that could have made this experience better would have been to not have been out of the brownie pizookie!! We were so excited to try it!!
We went for Mother's Day dinner. Had to wait almost 30 minutes even though we made a reservation through open table. Hostess made rude comment as we were seated because we complained we had to wait with a reservation. There were several parties waiting to be seated and we saw there were plenty of tables empty. They ran out of straws as well as several entrees including the special which was prime rib. Had items on menu that were not served at that location. We were sick that evening and night which could only be attributed to the meal. Was very disappointed and will NEVER go back.
My wife, 3 kids, and I went to BJs on Mother's Day. When we arrived, there were quite a few people waiting. Our reservation was honored and we were seated relatively quickly. There were a lot of open tables considering the number of people that were waiting. It made me think they were short staffed. The only reason I mention that is because the service was terrible. Our waiter took our order and they were out of what both my wife and son ordered. It took close to 45 minutes to get our food. Our drinks had run out and we had to flag down our waiter to get refills. He brought out some of our drinks but not all if them. When we got our food, it was 10 minutes from when the first plate arrived to when our last plate got their. My son's cheese pizza that he ordered was full if vegetables. Our waiter brought us a replacement in a reasonable amount of time. The food was good but the service was horrible.
Service was just mediocre we had to ask for our bill and felt it was an inconvenience
The receptionist was rude.
Great food and service. Server was very friendly and attentive.
The jambalaya was awesome and a great family / sport restaurant. The server was great. Me and family will be back.
Even though I made my reservation on Open Table, they didn’t have it in their system. They did seat us right away when I showed them my confirmation. Our main server was very nice, but we had to ask for silverware and ask for sour cream 3 times before we received it. Our table of 5 agreed that the food was too heavily salted/seasoned. My sirloin was suppose to be medium well, but it was burnt. I was disappointed.
Service was average and not very accommodating. Everything was very overpriced.
Mediocre at best. One step above Chili’s if that’s what you’re looking for. I probably should have done my research better. Our waiter was the highlight. He was awesome as hysterical! (Waxed mustache was on point, no pun intended!)
We had a nice time. Service was nice however very slow. Prime rib was delicious, the ribs were a bit dry though.
Nothing our of the ordinary...this an average restaurant with good food and good service. Pricing is appropriate for the food and service.
Bffs meeting for dinner and laughs
Me and my wife have dined here several times but this time we invited the whole family for my 66th birthday. We celebrate all of our birthdays this way and my father in law enjoyed y'all so much and the beer he declared we should make this our official family birthday celebration location. So we voted and BJ's is now our official birthday party central food and brew house. CONGRATULATIONS BJ's!!
