I would recommend Bix. The service and ambience were excellent. The restaurant called to confirm the reservation which was appreciated and when we arrived, the hostess was very pleasant. I especially appreciated that they offered to hold and put my jacket away and seated us promptly. I thoroughly enjoyed the ambiance and the decor as it felt as if we were transplanted back to the twenties.
Each of our meals were prepared nicely and seasoned perfectly. The only downside was there was no vegetarian option for an entree so I had to order 2 vegetable sides which were still nice. For the lack of a veggie entree option and that they were out of creme brûlée I scored the food category 4 stars (otherwise it would have been 5).
Overall the evening was fine, and our waitperson was attentive and skillful. Great old fashionds for cocktails. Petrale Sole and Sea Bass main courses were both good, but the fish was put on the wrong plates-I ended up with sea bass and haricots verts and Linda ended up with Petrale Sole with fennel shrimp and basil. We didn't notice it until the waiter had left, and chose not to mention it, but did transfer the haricots verts to the other plate. Dessert was bananas foster and was outstanding. Sancerre by the glass. We may try upstairs next time, as our table was nice but the overall noise level was high-we have hearing handicaps.

Ambiance and Dining Experience was overall really good, but the water guy was hovering almost non-stop to the point that it was uncomfortable.

Our dinner was to celebrate my husband’s last day in government service. The Bix staff went out of their way to make sure it was absolutely perfect. We had a table that was removed enough from the bar/music to give toasts but close enough to enjoy the festive atmosphere that makes Bix so special. Our waiter (Jorge) was so welcoming and gave great suggestions on food and wine. We are so grateful! Thank you!
The food was terrific, and the room is lovely to look at. One of the draws for us was "live music." We could not hear the music. We could barely hear ourselves think. The room's acoustics are horrendous - you leave nearly deafened. Service was the bare minimum - our waitress seemed to consider us an afterthought. For the price you'll pay, look elsewhere.
Always it’s a good meal there ambient good people friendly staff. Good for every occasion
Literally the best duck I’ve ever had in my life! Order the steak tartare and duck and you will leave a very happy customer. Well worth the price.
Amazing ambiance and great end to a New Year’s Eve trip. Very chill with a piano player and best meal of the trip!
