Great food service was super slow seemed understaffed
Great ambiance. Food was disappointing for price. Service was good by the front end staff, but back end staff took forever to deliver okay meals.
A nice surprise not your everyday Mexican food was delicious and interesting. Drinks were good
Bitol is a wonderful addition to our area for authentic natural Mexican cuisine. The mole sauce was outstanding in its authenticity to the culture of Oaxaca and intricate ingredients. The service was exceptional. Definitely worth a try for truly delicious food.
Everything was wonderful here except the noise level. They should do away with the music. Voices echo very loudly. Without the music you could have a conversation.
Britney our server was on point ... food was delicious..gracious owner, ambiance fun..definetly will be back
The food was amazing, the drinks were amazing
My family and I went to have dinner together to celebrate the upcoming birth of my daughter. The restaurant was very nice and clean. The atmosphere was great. The staff was very friendly and on top of their jobs. The food was amazing. Everyone in my family loved their entrees. We got two orders of the churros for dessert and we were not disappointed.
The food was excellent, my fiancé loved her lulo margarita almost as much as the server smoked pineapple margarita for her second drink our server recommended. The mole enchiladas were amazing and the chipotle Mac and cheese was delicious and such a big portion we shared it. The servers were attentive and overall we had a great evening.
Food and drinks are great! The wait time is a bit too long.
This place is a hidden gem. What you would expect to be somewhere in Greenwich village is right here in Clifton. Love the ambiance, the hospitality of the helpful staff and the warm demeanor of the owner Cleber. Definitely stop in and try the well liquored but tasty frozen margaritas and the authentic and really tasty food.
The service and food presentation was outstanding. The food was innovative and flavorful although not abundant. I would definitely dine there again but not on a weekend since the music was so loud you could not have a conversation. Very noisy as well.
Service was fabulous, so friendly and accommodating. Loved the mole, fresh guac, beef tacos, drinks were all amazing!!
Amazing. The owner was really nice. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. The owner walked us through the menu and a taught us a lot about the culture and how the menu was crafted.
Really great vibe and the staff was very friendly and helpful with any inquiries! Drinks were unique and the corn/chipotle mac and cheese is a must!
The food was amazing, it was different than what I usually eat in other Clifton Mexican-American restaurants. The fusion and combination of the plates were good. The dessert chocolate tamal was delicious. The only drink I tried which was the one that comes in a light bulb was not too sweet but with a kick. The presentation of the drink was awesome too.
A beautifully decorated, upscale Mexican restaurant serving interesting and delicious foods and an awesome range of margaritas and inventive cocktails. My only, rather minor critique is that the dish I ordered--enchiladas suizas--was not as hot as I would have liked. We will return to try some of the other menu items and perhaps dine on the cozy little patio if the weather is nice. Overall, a lovely surprise in a strip mall in Clifton.
Tried a couple of different crafted cocktails and to our surprise a lot better than we thought
It was great! Food was excellent. Because we were there at peak the food did take a while to come out but other than that I was amazing. Great margaritas.
The food was exceptional, especially loved the ceviche. The last good ceviche I had was in Panama about 25 years ago. Everything my wife and I ordered was delicious, just had to join the "clean plate club". Staff was very courteous and attentive. Only downer was the noise level, very difficult at times to hear my wife. Décor was all hard surfaces, very little to absorb the sound. Bitol is definitely a "keeper" and will be returning frequently.
Had a fantastic birthday dinner. Our waitress Britney was fantastic!!
Drinks were a little overpriced for what they were. Food portions were rather small for the price. Most likely will not return.
The food was great, and the presentation of the drinks was spectacular! Bitol offers a creative take on Mexican cuisine.
The noise level was high even though the restaurant was not full. Installing sound-absorbing panels or soft surfaces would likely help muffle the noise.
Very personable staff. Great food
The menu is not your average Mexican place. The food is fresh and high quality. The menu has many different options, I had a hard time making a choice. It all looked so good. I will be returning
Great service, good food portions . Nice atmosphere.
Fantastic place with very friendly staff. The drinks were inventive and tasty. The food was great. Service was prompt and friendly.
There was a minor hiccough in my mind on how allergy info is passed along, but everyone was super kind any time I reminded them.
Good quality, authentic Mexican cuisine. Try the Smoky Pineapple margarita.
Service was fantastic.
The food absolutely delicious.
The cocktails were high quality.
We will be going back.
This is very high end Mexican food yet still extremely authentic.
This place has only been open for about 2 months. The place is really cute and easy to get to. You take the exit onto Bloomfield Ave toward Passaic and turn right, then you'll find it right in that parking lot. The owners were very nice and the service was fantastic. I ordered the Birria tacos and my mom got the Puerto de Mariscos which is a plate of seafood over rice. We also ordered guacamole and tres leches. Every was delicious. Keep in mind however that the portions are small, not sure if that's the case with all the dishes on the menu but everything we ordered was small. Overall I'm happy with the experience and I look forward to eating here again.
Nice addition to the local dining scene that was sorely missing a really good Mexican place. Food was very good and mezcal/tequila cocktails were tasty. The vibe is very nice and cool and once inside you don’t feel like you’re in Styertown. Great service. One small comment: The shrimp tacos had a few too many roasted peppers and overpowered the shrimp. Will definitely go back!
We made a reservation on the recommendation of a coworker. We were seated at a hi top near the bar where we watched the mixologist at work. He was very friendly and informative about his cocktails. The cocktails were outstanding and fun as well as the food. The service was friendly and quick. We will be recommending this restaurant to all.
This restaurant is a GEM. The food is unique and flavorful, the menu is well structured and varied and the cocktails are INSANELY delicious and inventive. Our waiter was attentive and knowledgeable. Overall the experience was stellar and we can’t wait to go back
I went for the second time with a group of my friends last night and the food was embarrassing! The portions are like for children! I won’t be coming back. The place is very cute and the drinks are very interesting and pretty but other than that I wouldn’t come back or recommend. Maybe just to sit at the bar but even that, their bar is very small and limited space.
This place is amazing. It’s F2T for Mexican. Nothing is processed. I have been there twice and it will be on our rotation. The owners are down to earth, you can tell they take pride in their menu. For anyone who thinks it’s expensive, you pay for quality and you’re getting that here.
Food was delicious but portions were on the smaller side so we ordered multiple portions. A bit pricey but worth it in my opinion. Colomitos cocunut cocktail is strong and refreshing, perfect on a hot summer evening.
The only downside was it took almost half an hour to seat us even though we had a reservation. Otherwise I would recommend this restaurant.
Unique, creative and delicious drinks. Great food and great service!
The food was very tasty, appetizers and tacos were small portions but very good. Margaritas were strong. The hostess and waitress were very friendly. They took our temperature and wore masks the whole time. It felt safe and clean!
Very nice touch to receive a complimentary delicious dessert for my Birthday!
