BITES is a fun place to be and is perfect for both casual dining and special occasions - date night, girls/guys night out, birthday party, bachelor/bachelorette party, baby shower, etc. Start or end your night right at BITES!
Went there for brunch, which is not suggested. They only have 4 menu options, all delicious but very limited. This place wants to attract a brunch crowd but they need to get the basics, including coffee. Glad I checked it out but won’t go back.
Excellent service and a fun menu. A great addition to the neighborhood. We’ll definitely be going back.
Overlooked chicken and shrimp. Disappointing.
It Exceeded my expectations. The staff was very cordial and customer focused. The food presentation was creative and beautiful. The flavors were outstanding. I will return, and highly recommend BITES
BITES has PHENOMENAL food. Nothing I have tried there has been mediocre - EVER. I recommend going at opening hours because that's when less people are there and you get to pick a table. CANNOT wait to visit them again!
I LOVE Bites! The staff is so incredibly nice and the food is always outstanding! The shrimp shumai appetizer is amazing! Drinks are great! I've had the sushi, ramen, burgers and I think pretty much everything else on the menu here over the years and I can honestly say that I've never had anything that wasn't awesome. It's truly one of those "neighborhood gems" that you hear about.
Bites was a great neighborhood find! Extensive menu with lots of options for everyone. Food was excellent, service was excellent, and the restaurant itself is a gem. We will definitely be back!
Our dinner was outstanding! The service is always so friendly. The staff just seems to be happy all the time here. I love that! The drinks were great and the food was outstanding! We had the new Pad Thai with crab and it was amazing! Thank you, once again, for an outstanding dinner!
Food was subpar and overpriced
The food was delicious, the ambiance was great and the service was 5- star. I will be back in the near future.
Really good sushi rolls - especially liked the Hot Chef roll! Also, the spicy margarita was delicious. The duck bahn mi was ok - not as flavorful as it should be, more hoisin, maybe? The basil chili prawns appetizer was good but hard to eat.
Amazing value for your buck. Recommend this place for a casual bite with friends.
We ordered veg dumplings and shrimp dumplings, soft shell crab sliders, a variety of bao, and steak and eggs. All delicious! Nice place, easy parking, pleasant service. A little work on the coffee, and it's an easy 5 stars. Thanks for brunch, would totally return for another meal.
I have been going to BITES for a year or two and I've never been disappointed. However, since they did the remodel, I don't know if the food quality is there anymore. We got sushi when we went but it definitely was just average sushi. I don't know if it was $15 a roll worth it. We ordered a $20 sangria pitcher during happy hour and it was incredibly water-y. I guess that's to be expected for happy hour. The ambiance for this place and their small bites never disappoint. I don't know if I would spend as much on the sushi never time though.
Went to during restaurant week but not satisfied.
1. No Brunch for restaurant week which we were like to order
2. Thai iced coffee too sweet
3. Served sticky rice with vinyl covered.
Excellent service, food from restaurant week menu was amazing.
Went for Chicago Restaurant week and really enjoyed it. Great ambiance and the servers did not rush us when we finished (always a plus for me!). The white wine sangria was awesome but I'd say the appetizers were better than the main dish - I got the orange chicken - the desserts were incredible. Overall pretty good experience, I'd recommend.
This place was great! The food was delicious and our waiter was very nice and attentive.
Just a great experience overall. From the decor to service and definitely the food. Worth going back more than once.
Everything our group tried was delicious, from the taro fries, shrimp shumai, duck and waffles, and desserts (we tried both the roti and chocolate chip cookie dough chopsticks). We're planning on returning to try some other delicious-looking items.
Great happy hour specials!
Soooooo much sushi for a GREAT price (we were there on Sushi Sunday), and it was pretty darned good, too! Service was just ok, but not bad. Will definitely return.
We enjoyed out night out with the family at Bites. Everyone agreed! Thanks Bites!!
Major regrets in choosing this restaurant. Food was horrible. Sent the ramen back, it was too salty to eat. Our bao buns had way too much sauce and the meat was cooked horribly. The wings were okay, but the rice with them came in a plastic microwave bag. Not sure if the bag is standard, but the rice was not edible.
Food was pretty good. Sushi was awesome. The restaurant was mostly empty, but it took over half an hour for he food to get to us. When food arrived it was accompanied by many apologies, but it was still quite the wait.
Terrible service and ended up sick from the food. Will never go again.
Yummy! Lots of Asian flavors in delicious and unique dishes. Service is friendly and attentive. One of our favorite go-to dining spots.
Excellent food. Menu has A nice variety of Asian selections. Very good service and value.
We had a great time at Bites. The food was excellent all around, but a review wouldn't be complete without mentioning how amazing the 5-spice duck ramen was. Definitely a must try when it is available! Everything was great, my only minor complaint would be that when we were done our server left us alone for 10-15 minutes waiting for our check, but even that was no big deal!
One of my favorite Chicago restaurants. Super cute, friendly staff and the food is very delicious and inspired! Lot of Asian and Asian- inspired dishes, with possibly one of the best Tonkatsu ramen in the city. Crab rangoons are also one of the best around. There's really tons of options on the menu and a little something for everyone. Definitely one of my favorite places and they run specials often, so it's a good deal if you're price conscious as well. Would highly recommend!
Second time there. Good food With a great menu. Good value and fun atmosphere
One of our favorite locations...great Asian food and great variety of bites!
Staff and service is amazing! All of the food is delicious so you can’t possibly go wrong with choosing this place!
Creative and delicious food, extremely reasonable price.
I’ve always had a great time here. Service is wonderful and the food surprises my expectations
Crying Tiger is amazing.
Overall our experience was excellent. The place was cute, romantic (it was our anniversary), and we didn’t know they had a special on cocktails so that was nice. We went at 8:30 on a Thursday. We ordered a bunch of food: lava and ocean sundae sushi, crab Rangoon and taro fries for starters, and ramen. All sharing portions. We took some ramen and sushi home, and the sushi was even good the next day. Overall we loved it and will be back. Our food was spicy, which we enjoyed, but if you don’t like that be weary of what you order. :)
Trainee waitress who took our order suddenly disappeared. The waitress who took over was very difficult to understand, but what we did hear was that my birthday discount would not count because there was a 3-bun special going on which we took advantage of. Why? Incidentally, I was told that my discount could be used in the future. I have no intention of returning.
Always have loved this place. Great vibes and great food.
Everything we ate was delicious. The happy hour makes this place very reasonable. Will definitely be back soon!
