The best French cuisine in DC! Martinis were perfect, she had the special salad with pickled trout, I had the Belgian endive salad with Roquefort cheese...fantastic. her entre the trout almandine and mine the delicious duck leg cooked to perfection. Half bottle of wine, espresso and raspberry tart. Yes the best!!
Amazing food and wine list. The closest you will get to France in DC.
We selected the fixed lunch option. Great range of choices and good price point.
Service was attentive - amazing given shortages of staff at other restaurants.
Excellent meal and lovely staff. It was difficult to choose from the many tempting things on the menu, which is always a nice problem to have.
Delicious meal and great service. Ordered one of their specials which was superb.
Excellent during both a recent lunch and dinner experience. My dining companions and I enjoyed the many delicious choices on the menu Will definitely return again.
Best French meal I’ve had in the US, excellent quality
It is our go to place. Great French food, service and ambiance. They never once faltered during the pandemic
Excellent as always!
Bistro Lepic is one of he best restaurants in Washington. "Understated" -- that is, no effort to promote itself through glitz and "reviewer appeal" -- and the quality is superb. Great for lunch, as well (which we did this time). Friendly. Waiter(s) attentive but not "hovering." Highly recommended.
Lack of staff was self-evident on Bastille Day. Less than satisfactory.
Have not been here in years …not since I worked in DC.
One plus in moving into DC is proximity to restaurants like Bistrot Lepic.
We celebrated our move and Bastille Day.
Food was delicious. Service was great.
We went to dinner with friends and had a wonderful experience! Food was great, service was even better!
Had a wonderful dinner with friends Sunday night, delicious food and attentive service, not rushed either.
It was great to be back at Bistro Lepic. A great neighborhood restaurant that is worth the drive if you don't live in the area. The food was delicious and the service was excellent.
Excellent French bistro is the "sister" restaurant of the superb La Piquette. The best two French restaurants in D.C. Not crowded and noisy like the overhyped and overrated La Diplomate.
I have been going to Lepic since it opened. It has always been consistent good. A stable wait staff which is always a sign of good management.
Consistent and reliably tasty. Nice neighbourhood restaurant.
Incredible food and fairly fast service. Absolutely recommend
Excellent and very authentic French food. The wine recommendation was also spot-on. They also allowed us to stay past closing time which was very kind of them.
We loved the food and cleared our plates! The wine was excellent. The service was on the mark.
Nicely appointed dining room, especially the copy of Gustave Caillebotte's Rainy day, Paris street. Service was efficient, maybe too much so. We hadn't finished our before-dinner drinks and the first course came out. Mains were uniformly good - steak special, curried 1/2 chicken, trout. Dessert, profiteroles, were not as good as at other places in the District -- Et Voila's on MacArthur Blvd NW are the best I've had in the States. Prices at bistrot lepic are a bit above average for French or new American but worth it.
A wonderful neighborhood French restaurant, as given that the neighborhood is Georgetown, it is very good indeed. And easy parking to boot.
Food was excellent. Was a nice pleasant surprise .
I made a reservation for 7/3 and asked for 6:30. I called to change the reservation to 7:15, and the young man who answered the phone couldn’t have been nicer! He even changed our table to inside, which is really what we wanted. Our server was lovely, and brought 2 wines for me to try. She also recommended a burgundy for my husband and son to accompany their delicious lamb. My daughter and I had the trout and salmon. Both were very flavorful and seemed very fresh! My husband’s salad special as well as my endive salad were excellent. We ordered 3 desserts: creme broulet, chocolate tart and a raspberry and blue berry tart. All were wonderful! Definitely recommend.
My girlfriend and I went to Bistrot Lepic for our anniversary and had an outstanding experience. The service was excellent and the food was to die for!
First time back since COVID, still a great restaurant. Excellent food and service, I highly recommend this wonderful gem in Georgetown!!!
The waiter described my appetizer as a grilled artichoke salad with avocado. I inquired about the artichokes and asked if they were small artichokes like carciofini, or large ones. I also wanted to verify that they were grilled not fried or steamed. I was told that they were indeed tiny artichokes and that they were certainly grilled. What came to the table were artichoke hearts directly from the bottle never grilled. OK, it wasn’t rancid, but had I known what was really being offered I would another appetizer. My dinner companion had mussels that were over cooked and rubbery. So not a good start. My main course was a very pleasant trout almandine and my dinner companion had medallions de boeuf, which he described as very nice. At no time we’re we even asked how the meal was.
1. Waitstaff should be educated in the food that the chef produces. They should provide accurate with descriptions even if the dish is rather quotidian.
2. The kitchen staff should take care even with old favorites like mussels.
3. The management should make sure that they always inquire about the guests’ satisfaction even if this sort of banter is somehow distasteful to the French.
I’ve been to Bistro Lepic many times in the past and I’ve always enjoyed good food and good service. Hmmm, perhaps this was an off night. Not sure I’ll be back anytime soon.
Ciara at the bar upstairs was wonderful. Very professional and friendly. We will certainly be back.
We had a lovely lunch and enjoyed excellent service. The bistro was full and so the noise was a bit high.
Excellent dinner and excellent service. The only off-note was the warm chocolate tart. Not a lava cake, but an uninteresting dense piece of fairly dry chocolate cake. Try the creme brulee instead.
this is one of my favorite Washington area restaurants. It feels like a real French bistro,
and the food is consistently good.
Lovely meal with incredible service. Everything was delicious.
one of my favorite places to go to in DC. Good food, not stuffy.
This was my first visit back to a Bistrot Lepic Jazz Night (in the bar upstairs) since the start of the pandemic. It was like a reunion with an old friend, with the usual gracious service, wonderful food, and fine music. Everything on the menu is outstanding; the veal cheeks are my personal favorite and never disappoint.
Lovely outdoor space—a little noisy on Wisconsin Ave but the folks at the restaurant did a really nice job setting everything up and making it comfortable, accommodating, and safe for diners! Great food and great service. Indoor space also looks cozy and inviting from what I could see—look forward to going back!
We love this little French restaurant. The food is excellent and authentic as is the ambiance.
We enjoyed everything about our dinner. The reception was friendly, the wait staff pleasant and very accommodating, the wine (especially the recommendation from the bar tender) was perfect and the food SO delicious. We will be back soon’
