Mousse de Foie Gras
Chicken & foie gras mousse terrine, quince compote
Vanilla ice-cream & Chocolate sauce
Best French food in DC, They make an excellent martini, wine list is abundant and adequately priced. Special on the menu along with their standard entrees...I had the wild boar chop which was phenomenal.
What a delight!
I've been driving by for a year or two, but never stopped in. It was a pleasant surprise. The food was outstanding. Perfectly prepared rockfish. Definitely try the mushrooms, savory and delicious. Extensive wine list and knowledgeable maîtresse d'.
Can't wait to visit again.
Wonderful food and just outstanding live jazz from the Hot Club of DC.
An absolute favorite!!!
Since I prefer eating outside now, the street noise was
a bit loud, but still a wonderful treat to be there
I had an excelente foie gras and a superb duck confit with frites. I would say the best that I have had in DC
Yummy great service!
Very good classic French bistro dishes. Steak frites were great, and appetizers and dessert too. Superbly curated wine list. Solid neighborhood spot.
Excellent food and delicious wine.
We love Bistrot Lepic, however the terribly slow service was a very negative issue yesterday. Our food was cold when served.
We are aware of staff issues everywhere. Nevertheless after we mentioned to the manager that may be more help was required, he said: no! This was not expected. (but may be he did not know... (?)
Have been many times, and returned for dinner, this time outside. I found the greeter, server, and the whole experience better than ever.
Exquisite bistro food. Outside table meant a lovely breeze but also street noise. The food and service made up for all of it.
We loved our dinner at Bistro Lepic. It was delicious and the service was great. Looking forward to going again.
Excellent food and a delightful ile flottante. Be sure to come on time, but not before... the place has strict opening policies.
A perfect meal. We have been several times across the years, but I think last night was the best ever. We both had medallions of beef. Beef was cooked to perfection. I tiny bit too much salt for me, but when that is the only issue, I almost hate to mention it! I started with the endive salad. Just delicious. My husband had the charcuterie plate to start and loved it. Friendly but professional staff. And the other diners are always lovely. We highly recommend. Besides, it’s locally owned and small! Just our style.
We met friends for dinner at Bistrot Lepic, because they said it was the best French bistro in DC, and they are right. We sat outside, which was lovely. Standout dishes included duck confit, trout, and foie gras, all delicious!
Excellent evening. Highly recommended. Will definitely return. Thank you!
Excelente food and service; the placa is a little bit old
Staff should learn the French names of the dishes they’re offering!
Example day escargot instead of calling them snails!
My first time here. Food was outstanding; service excellent (timely but not excessive). It was easy to park. Highly recommend and will return.
I am incensed because they include in the menu dishes with names that do not correspond to what they serve you. Like we say in french MINABLE
Among the classics It says
Pied de cochon 12
Crusty boneless pig feet, onion mustard sauce
IY IS HORRIBLE. Little or nothing to do with pig feet. Nothing to do with the pig feet you buy in France at the charcuterie
Desserts. Gateau Basque –Almond pastry cream cake
NOTHING TO DO WITH A GATEAU BASQUE NOTHING
Mega sugaree cream almond cake with no texture, no flavor. HORRIBLE
We three friends went there for lunch. We had a great time: the food was superb, the service excellent, it could not have been a more pleasant experience. The dining room was very quiet and we could easy have a conversation. We had the trout and one person had the salmon salad. Dessert was the classic creme brulee, which is always outstanding. It's my favorite restaurant in the DMV.
Bistro Lepic has been one of our “go to” stops whenever we are in DC. The food is always excellent and the ambiance and service are always enjoyable. Always a good time!
North of Georgetown but a world away from well known touristy places with average food. This is a place for great food and service, a neighborhood gem for meeting family and friends
We dined early before a lecture. It was very pleasant.
Very refined and elevated cuisine
As always, the dinner, the staff, the atmosphere -- it's all perfect!! Cyrille stopped to say hello -- that made it even better!! Bistrot Lepic is a must on your restaurant list. You will not be disappointed!!
The food, drinks, desert and service was excellent. Only the mosquitos were eating us alive despite of the Off application. Also, the prices are aa little steep.
Perfect in almost every way. Authentic French cooking. Attentive service. Portion size just right. Deserts amazingly good. Marked down a little because dining on the side walk next to the traffic can be a little loud but you know they are doing a fine job of adapting to circumstances. Bravo!
Very enjoyable overall!
The service was impeccable. We were a party of four and started with appetizers. The tuna tartare was superb, fresh and lightly seasoned. The onion tart was excellent too. The mixed green salad with walnuts and strawberries was large and very fresh as well, and the boneless pigs feet were tender and flavorful. Two of us had the beef medallions with mushroom sauce, mashed potatoes, and crisp sautéed seasonal vegetables. The other two had trout which has always been perfect. Desserts are not to be missed. The creme brûlée, special coconut cake, and profiteroles were delicious. This small restaurant is a gem.
Food was delicious and lovely ambiance. A little bit pricey but a great spot for a special dinner.
Great food and excellent service.
Sat outside (hence the noise level snd ambiance ratings). Food and service were excellent. “José” and the others on the service team made sure we were well taken care of.
The food was fantastic and the bistro is quaint. Very enjoyable!
Never disappointed. Food is always fantastic as well as wine selection!
Excellent food and ambience. Strongly recommended.
Overall, very pleased with this place...and plan to visit again. The food was very good, and the service was professional, courteous and accommodating. A nice upstairs bar for a before dinner cocktail was pleasant with a laid back, unpretentious vibe. I can see why the place remains popular.....they present, deliver, and finish very well.
The food was very good, I really enjoyed the softshell crabs.
Outstanding food and service
Parking across the street is a plus
We will be back
