I've eaten at Bistrot Lepic a few times now, and each time I always kick myself for not going more often. The ambience is great, especially upstairs and on Wednesdays when they have live music. The food is delicious and is the right portion size to leave full but not overly so. I went most recently for Restaurant week, and each course was simply divine and really made my week. Can't wait until the next time we go!
Service was excellent, food was amazing! Went for the DC Restaurant Week and had a 3 course meal for $40. Everything tasted fantastic, so far this was our best DC Restaurant week experience by far. Food seemed very authentic as well. Definitely coming back here and making this a usual dining spot!
Go for the veal kidneys -- superb! And the chocolate passion fruit cake.
Le Pic never disappoints. Lovely service + perfect food in a beautiful setting.
We Love this wonderful romantic restaurant. Orly and howie.
Bistrot Lepic is a perfect-hole-in-the-wall hideaway for an intimate dinner with a friend. The Wednesday jazz in the bar upstairs adds a lot to the ambience. I love this place.
Great food and service, enjoyed the simple perfectly cooked meal.
Can’t wait to return.
A wonderful New Year's Eve dinner, with perfect prix fixe menu choices. The atmosphere was festive and the attention to detail (love the balloons) was lovely. Highly recommend.
Special New Years Eve. Menus was spectacular. Shrimp with lemon/lime risotto was delicious and introduced a main course of dorade that was perfectly seared, moist, tender and complimented with slightly charred tomatoes and basil dressing. Assorted pastries hit a high note, not too heavy but delicious. Wine and champagne reasonably priced and as always, excellent service. Will be back soon.
Every dish from soup to salad and entrees delicious and well executed. Lovely cozy feeling.
As always, Cyril and the entire team provide great food and service. A Georgetown institution.
The service definitely needs improvement. They were nice but when we arrived we were ignore then we asked about the live ban and were informed that it had been cancelled. We asked about dining upstairs as we could hear music from there we were confused response. After we were seated and served the first course we decided we needed to wash our hands before eating. My companion came back saying that there was wonderful music upstairs but the decor and ambience was immensely better than downstairs. We made the request to be seated upstairs which was granted. Also the service was somewhat slow and they got our order incorrect they were always polite and nice. The food was wonderful and once we were settled we enjoyed ourselves immensely and will go back.
Delicious food. Order the liver, it's amazing. The restaurant is chic and cozy.
Wonderful experience! Will definitely come back!
Very good food, cozy ambiance, and excellent service.
Great food. Great service. Beautiful reliable restaurant
Dinner was delicious, and weather cooperated for outdoor dining. A wonderful Christmas dinner
Bistrot Lepic has long been a favorite of ours in DC. We hadn't been there in a while because of the pandemic; but, we're pleased it has maintained the quality standards that we always experienced. It's a quiet gem of a restaurant serving excellent French fare!
It’s always a pleasure to dine at Bistro Lepic. French food at its finest, excellent service, and comfortable atmosphere. Look forward to dining at Lepic again soon!
escargot was outstanding. specials wee quite good. wine excellent. calf's liver was ok. the staff was very warm and attentive. our table was very good. The restaurant itself was lovely.
Always a treat! One of the best spots in all of DC.
We have been customers for decades but have not been there for about three years. Quality of food and service has deteriorated.
the upstairs space remains one of the most special places in DC for a meal or a drink: love it!
Exceptional service and entrees. Apps we got were very good but just under the level of the main course. Very authentic French cuisine and a wonderful setting.
Fantastic food, wine and service!
Great music on Wednesdays.
We had such a pleasant experience last night. Welcoming, attentive service, excellent food. A delightful place to have a visit, with conversation that was not challenged by much noise. Everyone at the restaurant seemed to being having a good time.
This is a fabulous restaurant. I have returned many times and will keep doing so.
Trout not very flavorful and mash potato not hot and uninteresting.
Party of four with diffrerent entrees and all highly rated: duck confit; potato-crusted salmon; beef. Appetisers, also, were terrrific, from the classic snails to a great wild mushroom fricasee.
The wine, too, was good; just the standard cote du Rhone, but a good bottle.
Lovely brunch with friends. Superb food and service.
Pick a time when it will not be crowded. The noise level was very low when we were there.
Not very accessible. Stairs to get in (there are railings) bathroom is upstairs.
Hosted a small birthday celebration for a dear friend and it was perfect. Really attentive waitstaff, good classic French food, nice wine selection and cozy, comfortable ambience.
Excellent food and service!
This is my favorite French restaurant in DC. The service is A+ and the food is five-star. I had the canard confit and she had the filet of sole. The escargot is the best in DC and the split pea soup was amazing with that old world taste. Martinis made to perfection and wine list is abundant and appropriately priced.
Casual service at best: our American waiter asked us as we finished dining, "Are you done, yet?" when "May I clear your plates?" would have been better. The French staff is more polite. As one of our party remarked, excellent food; "Fawlty Towers" service.
Lovely evening, nevertheless, and we'll keep coming back.
Hadn't eaten there in a few years because I had been going to its fine sister restaurant, La Piquettte. But this restaurant is a little more upscale in seating and the food and service and dining experience were excellent. I had the onion tart with bacon, the orange duck special, and the pear tart with creme Anglaise; accompanied by a fine 2015 Pomerol priced under $100. A really perfect meal. I'll be back--soon.
Authentic high quality French food and wines. I highly recommend it. The Prix Fixe lunch menus is great value.
Friendly staff and five stars all round! Definitely will be back!!
One of my top five favorite restaurants in DC for the reasons I gave each question a 5-star rating for my answer except noise. The dining room was very quiet although full of diners.
Always a lovely evening in the wine bar for Jazz Night!
