Food was excellent and has not flagged over the decades I have known this restaurant. And the room is very pleasantly quiet thanks to ceiling noise absorbing panels.
The only reason not to recommend Bistrot Lepic would be to keep for yourself. It's a gem. The service is attentive and the food never disappoints.
Bistrot Lepic is wonderful, a great find in DC for superb French cuisine and a nice atmosphere!
It is one of my favorite restaurants in the neighborhood. It is cozy with delicious food and reasonable.
Bistro Lepic surprised us with glasses of champagne during dessert as one person had a birthday. It made our already nice evening even better. All 5 of us enjoyed our dishes and the wine.
I've always wanted to go to the Wine Bar. I've dined downstairs several times, but will opt for the more casual upstairs going forward. Wonderful menu, delicious wines, superb staff. Was looking for a cozy place where I can meet with family and friends and feel like I definitely found it. Already booking for a dinner with family in December.
Bristot Lepic is the best option for authentic French food in Georgetown; and quite possibly in the Washington Metropolitan Area.
I came here to eat the other night with a party of 5 people for my birthday. The restaurant is very quaint and gives a really intimate feel. A hidden gem for sure! The restaurant was packed at 7pm on a Saturday night so I highly recommend reservations. We ordered escargot and foi gras for appetizers. Very falvorful. For dinner, I enjoyed my salmon meal. My boyfriend ordered the duck confit. We placed our order, but later on the waiter came to apologize that they ran out of his duck confit. The service recovery here was absolutely amazing!!!! My boyfriend ordered another meal off the menu (the duck breast) and they gave him his meal on the house. When the table all got our meals, they gave him a salad so that he would at least be eating same time too. After all our meals were done, the waiter came over and also poured the table another bottle of wine. I have to say I would definitely be back because this restaurant truly cares about their customers... and every dish my table ordered was excellent.
The ambiance at Bistrot Lepic is always the best and unforgettable. Worth each penny spent there. Great environment for relaxation.
Had the pepper steak which was excellent. My wife loved her cassoulet. I normally have their veal cheeks which are amazing and my wife loves the trout. Cozy space with great service and reasonable prices. What's not to like.
This was an amazing dining experience. The meal was served very soon after ordering. The plates were beautifully presented. And the hostess was so friendly as was the wait staff. We felt very warmly welcomed. Food was exquisite, a real authentic French meal. My daughter commented that the chef was very creative with typical French dishes.
I would like to thank you for your hospitality and the elegant service and the healthy food you have served to us.
The ambiance, service and food was amazing! We had a wonderful time! The only thing was that one of the coffee cups had a red mark around one side when it was brought to the table and we had to send it back for a clean one.
This place is a gem, food, wine list and service. I enjoy the experience every time.
Noise level was moderated until folks next to us arrived - lady was LOUD and two of our party are hard of hearing. Seating is a bit crowded, BUT the food was outstanding as usual.
Amazing food. Attentive service. Quiet and inviting atmosphere.
I really cannot fault it. End to end fantastic . I was so excited to taste having had to choose what NOT to order as the menu is amazing! Thank you so much for a great evening.
As always we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Bistrot Lepic. We come on a regularly basis because we love the ambiance, the service and - of course - the deliciuos food. Bistrot Lepic remains our favorite restaurant in DC. Looking forward to our next visit!
We have been to Lepic dozens of times and it never disappoints. Tasty and often original dishes side by side with classic French dishes. Well priced menu and wine
We enjoyed our dinner. At the sane time, I’m don’t think we would go back.
Tables are very close together, almost a sense of somebody else joining you for dinner.
Food was ok, no special spin on any of the dishes we ordered.
Ambiance was terrific and the food and service were fantastic.
Excellent meal in a lovely setting. Delicious specials and wonderful bread, too. I haven’t been in about a year, having been a regular in the past. Will return soon again.
The food was excellent, the service reasonably efficient, and the noise level (upstairs) was tolerable.
Very nice experience.
This is a favorite. It has yet to disappoint. The food is simply superb. The service top flight. Our table for two on the side wall was close to other diners but our conversation was unimpeded. I will continue to patronize this splendid place.
Always delicious with a lovely atmosphere and friendly stzaff
My favorite restaurant inDC but I had not been to town in a long time. It is still spectacular. Had the trout meuniere and it is the best I have had anywhere, even in France. Also tried the pig feet appetizer and it was wonderful. Trust me, try it. You won’t believe how good it is. My date had the curried chicken and loved it. Very mild curry flavor I am going to schedule a trip back to DC just to go again to this wonderful restaurant!
We had a very nice time sitting in the window and remembering our French. The snails, omelette, poached eggs and salmon tartare were great. Especially the snails. We sopped up all the parsley, garlic and buttery juices with fabulous bread. Will go back.
Excellent food and wine. Bartender gave great recommendations for wine to go with our food. Cozy, convivial ambience but quiet enough so that you can easily chat with your dinner companions.
Table in main dining room not ready, so we were seated upstairs. Banquette uncomfortable and tired. Food very good, as it always is, although bison entree a disappointment.
Excellent and superb food ambiance and service
The escargots probably one of the best I ve ever had
Our favorite neighborhood restaurant, well worth the trip up Wisconsin Ave. The wine bar offers free wine tasting on Tuesday evenings (6-8 pm), and food can be ordered from the regular menu or the specials of the day. The tasting wines are usually quite good, they come with a detailed explanation. The menu has some very French items (pig's feet! It sounds odd but is delicious.). The wine list has several interesting selections at reasonable prices. The ambiance is French, the staff is very friendly, and the noise level is moderate, especially early in the evening. Highly recommended.
Delicious unusual food with the old standards, which never fail to please
Attentive unobtrusive service
Reliable, traditional, French restaurant in Georgetown. I have been eating there for 25 years and very consistent.
It was lovely. My Mom was in town for a visit, and we had a beautiful dinner together. The food was delicious and the ambience was elegant. The restaurant made for a wonderful backdrop
It was the beginning of the 50th college reunion weekend for my husband. We had a large table and definitely made the sound decibel much higher. The staff could not have been more accommodating and patient with us. It was hard to get everyone focused on ordering, it had been 5 years since they last saw each other, but the waitress understood and was always nearby. The food was over the top amazing! No one was disappointed and left very happy. Such a wonderful restaurant!
This is just a lovely place with gracious service and exquisite food!
Very good classic bistro menu. Excellent escargots, scallops and beef medallions. Profiterole pastry very crisp and tasty. Chocolate sauce a bit watery. Very enjoyable evening.
This is the BEST French restaurant in the G'town area.....you will not be disappointed..ever!
Tasty meal with some French specialties in a gracious setting.
