Excellent food and service!
This is my favorite French restaurant in DC. The service is A+ and the food is five-star. I had the canard confit and she had the filet of sole. The escargot is the best in DC and the split pea soup was amazing with that old world taste. Martinis made to perfection and wine list is abundant and appropriately priced.
Casual service at best: our American waiter asked us as we finished dining, "Are you done, yet?" when "May I clear your plates?" would have been better. The French staff is more polite. As one of our party remarked, excellent food; "Fawlty Towers" service.
Lovely evening, nevertheless, and we'll keep coming back.
Hadn't eaten there in a few years because I had been going to its fine sister restaurant, La Piquettte. But this restaurant is a little more upscale in seating and the food and service and dining experience were excellent. I had the onion tart with bacon, the orange duck special, and the pear tart with creme Anglaise; accompanied by a fine 2015 Pomerol priced under $100. A really perfect meal. I'll be back--soon.
Authentic high quality French food and wines. I highly recommend it. The Prix Fixe lunch menus is great value.
Friendly staff and five stars all round! Definitely will be back!!
One of my top five favorite restaurants in DC for the reasons I gave each question a 5-star rating for my answer except noise. The dining room was very quiet although full of diners.
Always a lovely evening in the wine bar for Jazz Night!
Great waiter and meal
Charming setting, wonderful menu that prepares the food as described. Great selection of wines. Just enough menu variety between meats and fishes etc. to provide ample choice without overwhelming the diner. Had a table of four and all of us were totally happy with our dining experience.
Excellent dinner location. Very quiet and easy to get a reservation. Staff was very attentive and friendly. Highly recommend.
We enjoyed a lovely "Saturday after Thanksgiving" dinner with our four adult children who were in town. Everything was perfect, the ambience, service, and food. A recommended dining experience for anyone who has foodies in the family. Each dish was prepared to perfection. Excellent dining!
Very attentive service but relaxed and not rushed. Food ws excellent.
Wonderful experience, reasonable price, great food and wine, desert memorable. The restaurant was scrupulously clean. Service very warm and attentive.
Splendid bisitro fare at Lepic! A delightful genuinely French neighborhood experience. The menu echoes any good bistro in France, the wine list is exceptional. It's a value for food, wine, and the experience. My only caution is that without an entrance vestibule, cold drafts blow into the front of the restaurant as customers enter and leave. In cold weather, I'd recommend to dress for chilly intervals.
We were happy to be back at Bistro Lepic. Food and menu are terrific. But we were a bit uncomfortable at how close the tables are right now and fact that everyone on staff was not masked. Also the busy staff had some trouble keeping up with everyone as it was very crowded.
The room is very pretty and very French looking. Service very attentive, and we did not have to wait long for our food. The meal was exceptional. Highly recommend it, but you must book.
We really liked Bistrot Lepic and will return. The escargot (and bread to sop up the garlic) were perfect. The endive salad was a bit acidic and the only weak point in an otherwise lovely meal. The cassoulet with a Cornas red were a perfect November day combination. We finished with a pineapple tart and a dram of rum. Note that rum is actually the perfect after-dinner drink with pineapples.
Very good beef and salmon. Excellent dessert as well!
Great food, truly delicious - the duck confit was falling off the bone so tender. The fresh veggies and the mushrooms were all delicious. The service was fantastic and would make a great date night spot. The lemon tart was delectable!
The waiter was accommodating and very gracious. The food was delicious
Great food and excellent service! Enjoyed the jazz upstairs as well.
very good restaurant, excellent service, real french food; only one limit, some plates are ultra-expensive compared to the content
Food was always good but is now even better! Bravo!
Your wonderful restaurant holds a special place in our family’s dining out history! Many special occasions celebrated at your bistro. We’ve always had the best food, service and the most wonderful experience.
Please continue to be as exceptional as you are now! Thank you!!
Delightful evening. Good wine by the glass selection, charming and attentive service, delicious food.
Vegetables were over salted and inedible. Waiter never stop over after delivering our meals nor could we get his attention. Previously had a delicious meal, perhaps there has been a chef and management change?
Loved this place! Classic French restaurant, great good and service. I highly recommend it.
Wonderful experience. Food and service was par excellence. The room had a warm, French ambiance. The only negative I had was the wine glasses that we got with our bottle of wine. 1950’s heavy style small glasses. I noticed people at an adjoining table had modern large glasses. A minor point in an otherwise great meal.
A recent discovery of ours, we enjoyed introducing friends to the gastronomic pleasures of this establishment. As a family restaurant in business nearly 30 years, Bistro Lepic provides a warm and cozy environment with a lovely touch of the Parisienne in its decór. The food is consistently above average with a pleasing choice of specials.
Bistrot Lepic is one of our longtime favorite places. The food is always splendid and the service is lovely. The only reason I gave the "ambience" only 4 stars is that we were eating brunch outside and the traffic was extra noisy that day — nothing the restaurant could control. Dining inside is always terrific. Everything from the fresh bread and butter to the exquisite takes on brunch cocktails makes it worth the visit.
Nice bistro with a good brunch and regular menu.
Bistrô Lepic is consistently friendly, good food, great ambience. One can never go wrong there because there is a good range of options for food and wine. One of the best bistros around in town.
Bistro Lepic never disappoints! Delicious food on a dreary day lifts the spirits
A perfect restaurant for us: Wonderful, inventive food along with traditional favorites. Warm, pleasant helpful service, attentive without bothersome hovering.
Our favorite restaurant in Georgetown, the city, and the USA.
Wonderful dining experience! Will certainly return!
Best French food in DC, They make an excellent martini, wine list is abundant and adequately priced. Special on the menu along with their standard entrees...I had the wild boar chop which was phenomenal.
What a delight!
I've been driving by for a year or two, but never stopped in. It was a pleasant surprise. The food was outstanding. Perfectly prepared rockfish. Definitely try the mushrooms, savory and delicious. Extensive wine list and knowledgeable maîtresse d'.
Can't wait to visit again.
Wonderful food and just outstanding live jazz from the Hot Club of DC.
An absolute favorite!!!
Since I prefer eating outside now, the street noise was
a bit loud, but still a wonderful treat to be there
I had an excelente foie gras and a superb duck confit with frites. I would say the best that I have had in DC
