About Bistrot La Minette
Bistrot La Minette is the realization of Chef Peter Woolsey's dream that began a decade ago during his earliest days studying in France: to create a restaurant that would share his love of the authentic bistrot experience with his fellow Philadelphians.Chef Peter pays great respect to the traditional dishes that he creates and honors the classical French methods required to achieve unparalleled bistrot cuisine. Both savory and pastry menus are ever evolving to reflect the seasons, the availability of the best ingredients and the inspiration of the chef. They are drawn from the various regions of France and the multitude of delicacies that each has to offer. The service is both efficient and warm, rooted in a foundation of hospitality and caring for our guests.
Our goal is for Bistrot La Minette to be accessible to all guests that enjoy superb food and wine, and the company of their companions: hoping to evoke their best memories-or dreams-of traditional French bistrot dining.

Bistrot La Minette Ratings and Reviews
During Restaurant Week, this restaurant is definitely a great value. The outdoor seating on a mild evening was an added bonus to a fabulous meal. My friend and I got different entrees and desserts, and all were excellent, and I could live on their composed salad and wonderful bread. The service was attentive and friendly without being at all intrusive. Overall one of the best meals I've had outside France -
My boyfriend and I went to Bistro La Minette for restaurant week and we had a great time. The food was delicious and our server was great. Wait times were a little long but the restaurant was more crowded than usual so that's to be expected. We'll definitely be back.
This is a log time favorite of ours and even during Center City Restaurant Week it is fantastic! This is a French Bistro that has been around along time and has a wonderful menu that they do not change for restaurant week. n The service was great as always. We highly reccommend it
Took two of my friends to celebrate a special occasion. It just happened to be restaurant week but their menu was still the same with all options available. When the dishes arrived I was happily surprised that the portion was not reduced except for the escargot obviously. My friends were both impressed and raving about how delicious the food was. The service was super fast and our waiter was considerate in bringing extra plates and utensils for us when he saw us sharing dishes. Look at the pictures and you will want to go too!
My favorite intimate French Bistro. Happy Hour 530-7, half price appetizers beer and wine, Bartender Nathaniel or Nate is the best-couldn't be better.
I always get the Mustard Rabbit, which is spectacular. Chef Ken walks around checking on everybody.this place is a solid
15 out of 10!!
Even better than I remembered -- with a roast lamb dish that was really perfectly prepared (not just slices from a roast), creative desserts and a great wine recommendation ( I was familiar with the wines, but the recommendation to go with a Rose was a very good one). Fairly priced and great kirs, with lots of flavor options. I'd been to 2 other French restaurants in Philly the week before, but this was the standout.
Our son suggested this restaurant to us. So we drove to Philadelphia to give it a try. So worth it. Felt like we were in Paris or Rome. Our meal, duck confit and trout, was very well prepared, presented and delicious. Asked for waiter's recommendations on cocktails and dessert and was not disappointed. Highly recommend. Thank you for a wonderful evening.
Service is usually good here and we love the food but our waitress was off that night and we barely saw her. One guest ordered a cheese plate. He never got . 2 tiny tine pieces of cheese were placed on opposite ends of the table with no bread and no announcement that was his cheese plate. Very strange.
Bistrot La Minette never disappoints. On my last visit, the appetizer buffet with a prix fixe menu was outstanding, especially the chicken liver pate and carmelized onions and cheese on baguette. Plus, the service is always excellent - appropriately attentive but not at all obtrusive.
Bistrot La Minette never disasppoints! Being that my husband is Parisian, he is very particular about French food, and this is as authentic as it gets!
They even have Violette Kir which is from Tourette, France and have never had that in a French restaurant in the US. So we were very happy to start off our brunch with that wonderful aperitif.
We usually have dinner but this time we had brunch on the terrace and it was wonderful. It's so beautiful inside, but we wanted take advantage of the nice weather by dining outside.
Whenever we come here we are always warmly greeted by Brett the manager who is a total gem and always will go above and beyond to make sure the diner is happy. He knows his food and will always make great suggestions as well as making sure that the service is always perfect. I can't sing his praises enough for making our experience extra enjoyable.
We love this restaurant, and we love seeing Brett whenever we dine here.
