Bistrot La Minette is the realization of Chef Peter Woolsey's dream that began over a decade ago during his earliest days studying in France: to create a restaurant that would share his love of the authentic bistro experience with his fellow Philadelphians. Great respect is paid to the traditional dishes that are created; and the classical French methods required to achieve unparalleled bistro cuisine. Both savory and pastry menus are ever evolving to reflect the seasons, the availability of the best ingredients and the inspirations of Chef Grant Lloyd. The service, led by GM Maureen Marchiafava, is both efficient and warm, rooted in a foundation of hospitality and caring for our guests.

Our goal is for Bistrot La Minette to be accessible to all guests that enjoy superb food and wine, and the company of their companions: hoping to evoke their best memories-or dreams-of traditional French bistro dining.

This is a terrific representation of a real French Bistro....we ordered the Tartiflette dinner for 4. Everyone enjoyed the soup and the salad, but found the main entree, although assuredly authentic, to be a bit too extremely rich in its flavors. The dessert sponge cake was very dry and not what we expected. Our server, Ryan, was very attentive and a delightful individual. We look forward to our next visit.

This was the ideal spot to celebrate our anniversary: we were treated to marvellous food, in an atmosphere redolent with the signifiers of Paris, void of the theme park impression left by that other place on Rittenhouse Square. Go here for great food,, including noteworthy desserts, and great service, without the aggressive hype.

This is one of our favorites. The food was delicious as were the drinks. We love the atmosphere which always makes us feel like we are back in Paris. Our waitress was charming. The only negative, which is why I did not give five stars across the board, was that we were seated at the table closest to the front door. Although there is a curtain barrier to try to reduce the air coming in, we were continually hit with blasts of cold air, as people came in and out , which was unpleasant. But overall Bistrot La Minette is one of our favorite restaurants!

This was an unexpected treat. Picked it just because it looked ok and was close to TLA for a concert. Turned out to be much better than just a convenient destination before a show. Very authentic French bistro ambience, Very authentic and excellent French bistro cooking. The service was especially good. Overall, it was charming and really, really good. Next time I will make it an intended destination of its own. Good value in today's restaurant world, too.

My husband and I had 4 dishes altogether along with two glasses of wine. We ordered a foie gras special they had for the day and their escargot for appetizers. Next we had the pork cheeks and duck breast for entrees. The butter was delicious, and it was nice to have the bread to dip into the escargot garlicky butter sauce. Everything was delicious. We were too full for dessert. When asked how I'd like the duck cook, I asked for whatever the chef thought best and it came out rare (tasted perfect). Had not been here for years, but should remind ourselves to not forget this place as an option! We made reservations for 5:45pm on a Saturday same day. Their bar seats only a handful of people so we thought it'd be risky to try to walk in for bar seats.

Well-prepared French classic dishes that don't break the bank. We had had cocktails before arriving, so we just split a pitcher of the house red, which was a very fine accompaniment to the dinner. Bruno, our server, was delightful.

The menu had a few new items and they were all delicious. We had to have the escargot of course, but then we tried the leek soup and the scallop dish - both would eat again. We also had the Atlantic Char and the Mushroom Cassoulet both were very good. Definitely would try them again. Their desserts are always very tasty. The staff are wonderful, in fact we had Rachel as our server once again and she is so very good - bartender knows how to make the specialty cocktails! Everyone is just very friendly and helpful. look forward to returning!

Valentines Day. Filet Mignon for two, rare, nicely charred outside, perfect inside. Suggested wine was excellent, a great choice. Flourless chocolate cake was great. We’ve been a number of times already and will continue to return. Always a terrific meal accompanied by wonderful service.

This was our first time dining at Bistrot la Minette. From start to finish, the culinary experience was about as close to France as we've experienced. Spectacular escargots. Superbly tender and beautifully flavored maigret de canard. Great bread service. We opted for the cheese course as dessert. This was good, but I felt the cheeses were slightly drier than they should have been. The only challenge is with parking. Forgot about street parking (we tried.) Our only option was an outrageously overpriced surface lot about a block or so away. That won't stop us from returning, however!

Classic French fare with exceptional execution. Atmosphere transports you to France. Wait staff helpful, attentive, knowledgeable. I appreciate the open kitchen. Lends a vibe to the experience and instills trust in diners that kitchen is clean and organized. Seating comfortable and well positioned. Lamb and chicken entrées- generous portions and perfectly cooked with great flavor. Leek/sage soup was splendid. And let’s not forget the bread and butter. The best! While I did not have- diners rave about the fois gras.
