We took our son and niece both whom live in the DC area for a late lunch this past Sunday and had a wonderful meal. Obviously they weren’t very crowded yeah they were very gracious and helpful. The salads were wonderful as were the main courses. The quality of the food was very good. I’d recommend it unconditionally
I always love this place. It’s a safe choice always.
Came on Valentine's. It is hard to find places like this even in Paris nowadays so if you are a French nostalgic you are at the right place. Wine's are superb and very good value for a bottle. The kitchen is really good. Great french traditional food and portions are enormous. Will recommend the Steak Tartare and the Boeuf Bourgingon with a pour of Gigondas. Bread is amazing. The raviolis are creamy and delightful, try the Homardine. Will return with the kids as soon as possible.
I went there for the first time to enjoy Valentine’s Day. It was a very good experience.
Service struggled. Took 2 hours to get food and service was inattentive. Maybe COVID related.
Typically service has been great.
Pretty good. Nice place with a French feel. Prices we reasonable and the people were great!!
Great service, the food was a bit off the night we went. Normally a great meal and great service.
Onion soup was all cheese. Fries were overcooked and way too oily. Steak was fatty.
When it's dark and the weather is intense with snow and rain, this is where to be.
Disappointed based on the reviews. Thought the prices were high for a lunch menu. Seated quickly. Food actually came out pretty quick but in my mind wasn’t worth the price paid. Bland. We did ask for dessert menus then it took 20 min for them to take our order. There were only 3 couples in the place.
All comforts and pleasures well adapted to the new street dining restrictions.
Amazing as always. One of the best restaurants in DC
Always a good experience!
Try everything related to mules, or the wine of the day!
Even during the pandemic, the staff was very attentive and accommodating, and had a wonderful meal!
Always pleasant and delicious. A dependable comfortable respite.
The food was amazing! We had the mini raviolis, the ribeye, and an order of mussels and couldn’t have been happier. You would be hard pressed to find something better than soaking their bread in the mussel broth... so good!!! Will definitely be back.
Good food, really enjoyed the ambiance!
After a couple of so so years, this place was back to great form. Warm bread, perfect roast chicken and as alway, great salads, fries, and mussels
It was fine but not mind blowing in terms of tastiness. That said, cooking is definitely decent and we love the size of mussels
Even more special these days; ultimate comfort food.
A great little spot if you want to "visit/experience" Paris in D.C.
Made reservation with hopes to have outdoor seating. The restaurant didn’t delineate on open table and even ask us if we wanted to be outside. They tried to rush us to a table in the back and it was way too crowded inside even if we were comfortable being inside. Host wouldn’t give us an estimated wait time to be seated outside so we went to eat elsewhere. Probably wouldn’t book this place until they let you specifically reserve an outside seat.
Service was amazing as always!!! Escargot wasn’t as delicious as it usually is, was missing garlic and it had too much of the herbs. But overall a great experience!!!
Great ambience, friendly staff, good variety on the menu and all the dishes we had were great.
Brunch Cocktails were a little more than you would pay elsewhere. So discounted to $10.95 three drinks adds up quicker than most brunch spots.
Amazing food, cocktails and service. A gem of a restaurant!!!
Always a good go-to spot in DC
Mussels are their thing
The waiters there are awesome and food is supurb
We always have an enjoyable experience here. We've been coming here for years and they never fail to exceed our expectations. Thanks again for another incredible meal!
Amazing food and service. Everyone was very accommodating, we had 8 ppl and called before hand to discuss our reservation. They were able to sit us at 2 tables of 4 near each other. The owner was super nice and stopped by to chat.
Great authentic French Cafe. Worth a stop on your trip to DC.
Delicious food and excellent service. Waiter was very helpful with wine selection.
Operating at limited capacity, so the ambiance wasn’t its usual. However, the food, wine, and service remains excellent! Just what I needed. Merci!
I love this place. Our waiter was very kind and friendly. The food was delicious, but a bit pricey.
Wonderful Bastille Day dinner! The chef’s flexibility allowed us to have a favorite appetizer that was not on the menu that evening. Even with social distancing the noise level was intense.
I was very disappointed with both the service and the food. I ordered the salmon, and substituted pommes frites for risotto. I was told the meal came with asparagus, but I never received it. The salmon was dry and didn't seem to be fresh. I had about a couple of bites, and couldn't eat anymore. The only thing I finished on my plate was the frites. Most waiters would ask if there was anything wrong with the food. Mine didn't. Since I was so disappointed the meal, I tried for desert. I ordered the creme caramel. Another big disappointment. It was basically tasteless and too cold. Took a few spoonfuls and couldn't eat anymore. Again, most waiters would have asked if there was a problem, and again mine didn't. Was looking for a good meal on a holiday weekend, and I didn't get it here! Definitely will not return.
Excellent venue after a long Covid hiatus
It’s such a great place for dinner with friends or a date. You can’t go wrong with this place. My favorite ever is the onion soup, escargot steak and fries pate just perfect!
This is one of our favorite Washington restaurants. It's like a small Parisian cafe. Try the mussels, a specialty, or the steak frites.
We had dinner there yesterday and it was a huge fiasco. service was super slow, it took forever to get our food, at some point we considered the idea of paying for our appetizers and going somewhere else. once the food finally arrived, it was not very impressive. lamb was overcooked and chewy, one chicken dish was bland and the other one was way too salty.
Service was good, but the food was only ok. We did like the ambiance, but it was a little crowded.
