Food was OK. Seating is cramped. Service OK. Will try a different French restaurant next time.
The food was wonderful. Had the rabbit and it had great flavor, the sauce was flavorful. Will definitely be coming back the next time I'm in the city.
I have not been to this establishment in some time. Still a great value.
We went on Bastille Day and expected there to be something of a celebration and there was none. It was also unacceptably hot inside the restaurant.
My favorite French restaurant in DC. Wonderful food and a lovely wine list.
The staff is always happy and attentive in a bustling atmosphere. I love it.
Thank you for your message. A bientot!
Food was okay. Very slow and sloppy service. I wouldn't go back
Really fun, unpretentious classic bistro in Dupont Circle. Nothing stuffy about this place. Lots of young people, and people simply enjoying the evening. WIndows open, great air circulation. Food yummy.
Informal. Modest pricing. Good food.
Among the top french restaurants in DC🇫🇷 Great Food, Great Quality👌🏽
Fantastic meal as always! Frisée salad, cream of mushroom soup, coq au vin, and filet with bernaise were delicious. A little bubbly with fluffy mousse au chocolat was a perfect ending.
Too busy, but we had a great dining adventure.
If we lived in DC, we’d definitely be regulars!!!
Our waiter was outstanding!
Bistro de Paris cocktail was amazing & we loved the moules, frites & onion soup gratinée.
What an absolute GEM! We were touring DC and wanted to venture outside of the Mall area and on a whim chose this restaurant. Our teenagers are foodies and loved seeing old favorites like escargot and foie gras to new dishes like dauphinoise and every manner of mussels preparation! With the feel of a casual neighborhood eatery, the meal was incredible and the service was perfection. Of the many places we chose during our travels we all agreed this was our favorite.
It was so loud in the restaurant! Hard to have a conversation without yelling. The service was adequate but nothing special.
Same wonderful food and experience we’ve enjoyed for years. Always busy, so you should make reservations. Delicious and unpretentious French food, like in an actual Paris bistro. Enjoy harder to find treats like French onion soup, mussels, rabbit, and Filet American along with other more mainstream meals. Just note that it is loud in there. Consider it part of the experience of a lively bistro.
It was ok but server was lacking. And the cocktails that had champ was really Prosecco so they were very sweet. Ask waiter to recommend steak and he talked me into cheaper but that just really wasn’t as good as the other cuts I was originally interested in…dessert was good, bread and butter off the chain. They were busy dinner came late we went through 3 bread baskets. I just thought the steak and sauce was under whelming…
The mussels were good, the bread was good, but this isn’t a bread shop. The fish ravioli felt like it was made from the fish souce not fresh fish bouillon. the normal ravioli had too much heavy cream.
Other than the fact that the restaurant failed to check us in for our reservation causing us an embarrassing email from OpenTable stating that we were in violation of the no show policy everything was great here. Please ensure your servers check people in properly and guests you might want to double check that you are checked in here.
Fantastic spot in Dupont Circle. Very authentic French bistrot with amazing ambiance and food. Server was great.
Overall, it was a very good experience. It was exciting to be back at a restaurant after more than a year and a half. The food was very good -- mussels for me and salmon for friend. The service was very friendly. It was busy and it appeared the restaurant was slightly understaffed. It had been a few years since the last time and didn't remember that the noise level is quite loud (high ceilings and energetic atmosphere). It is a lively setting and very cheery.
Those were the best mussels I have ever had! And the one I had was just the first of about six ways they prepare them. I’m looking forward to trying the other five. The dinner was great all the way around. I am moving to DC, and this will definitely be one of my haunts.
Everything about this experience was perfect. I ordered steak frites. The fries came out piping hot and the steak was perfectly rare, plus the waiter even checked to make sure that the steak was indeed rare as ordered. The wine the waiter suggested was a perfect accompaniment and he encouraged me to take my time and enjoy my seat, a lovely window seat. I could not have improved upon a single thing!
A DC classic still lives up to its reputation. Amazing affordable wine list especially for Champagne.
Omg this place was great. Came for brunch. Food was so good and great value.
Rustic food, very French and delicious. Service slow probably due to staffing difficulties. Great house wine.
The waiter was lovely and they accommodated for a large brunch group! Good food and very good value
Thank you for your message, but I believe you are mistaking. We don't have oysters or crabs at the Bistrot du Coin.
Great genuine French country food and wonderful service in a warm comfortable atmosphere.
One of my favorite restaurants in DC.
Not the Bistrot du Coin I remember from many years ago. Food was edible, but average. The steak was dry and with too much pepper and the rabbit was very heavy and not tasty. Desserts were good though. we ordered 3 desserts, including one for my husband who was celebrating his birthday- they did put a candle on it, but charged us for it, which felt a bit cheap given the price of their dishes.
Great place with a terrific French vibe. My go to recommendation for folks if they are around DuPont Circle area of DC.
I lived in France for 4.5 year and BDC is always my goto for authentic delicious French cuisine. Never disappoints.
Good basic bistro food. Simple and non-pretentious.
The reason the restaurant was rated this time as quiet is because we were eating dinner at 4:00 p.m. We wee the only guests at that hour except for a party on the back upper level. Seniors need to know that it is possible to eat at Bistrot du Coin without the loud ambiance it normally has if you are willing to have a late lunch/early dinner. Our party of
4 ordered two moules dishes, one pasta dish, and one beef stew for mains and we shared two salads for starters. None of us ordered dessert. The white wine we ordered was very crisp and perfect for the moules and pasta. We live in the neighborhood and have been here several times over the last 20 years. But due to hearing issues, have not been back recently. Now I know that there are times of the day that the restaurant is not crowded, we will return. The service was quick and attentive.
Never fails to please. Love the neighborhood feel. The mussels are a must have!
A great French Bistro with excellent food. A great choice for French food in Dupont Circle
Always great food and a fun atmosphere... closest we have here to Parisian cafes...
Always beautiful food and cocktails. Servers are friendly and knowledgeable. We always eat here while in Dupont Circle and will return.
45 min wait to be seated even with reservation but food was yummy
My husband and I had an early dinner here this past Saturday. It was a warm day and we sat close to the front windows which were wide open. All servers were wearing masks and diners were spaced out. We felt comfortable dining inside. My husband ordered a frisée salad with French onion soup and I ordered a frisée salad the mussels mariniere. The food was delicious and the service was fabulous, as always!
Ordered a medium rare steak and came medium well. Came out the second time and it was medium. Fries were old. Years ago I had the best froi gras & steak of my life but it wasn’t a repeat.
One of my favorites in DC for a relatively inexpensive but very pleasant lunch
