Dinner was a great, my wife had the Salmon and I had the Sea Bass, both cooked to perfection. We had the same apps, an endive salad and a surprise birthday sing out for desert. Food, service and ambience was great!

Excellent from top to bottom. My wife had the lobster bisque which was good. I had the French Onion soup which was fantastic. I had the fisherman pot which was so very,very good. My wife had the the snapper that was delightful. The service was wonderful and the wine added to the meal. This is a must stop in Grande Case.

Bistrot Caraibes is one of the best restaurants on St. Martin. Food, service and ambiance were all excellent. Would definitely return and recommend to anyone visiting this wonderful Island. See you next year!

This is my favorite restaurant in St. Martin! The food is excellent. The service is definitely 5 star. This restaurant is not located on the water front but a nice breeze will keep you cool. You cannot go wrong if you dine here.

Definitely a must try for exquisite food and experience. Was a bit loud but we just went with the energy and it was fabulous! Wish my stomp was bigger to try more food. We ordered escargot and carpaccio to start and both were lovely. The carpaccio had an herbed oil to drizzle and was perfectly paired and the escargot had an added herb as well to the garlic butter sauce. Our son ordered duck breast and was divine. I was jealous of his order but he was kind enough to share a bite with the perfectly paired sweet sauce atop the meat. My hubs ordered the beef filet and it too, was perfectly cooked medium rare accompanied with the mushroom brown sauce. I ordered the sea bass and it was really good, but wished I had ordered a different protein since it was a classic French cuisine. The desserts were amazing as well and perfectly decorated. Classic creme brulee, “lava cake” and perfitoroles with ice cream and chocolate sauce.

We’ve been coming to this restaurant for several years in different milestone occasions.Food has always been pretty good but somewhat uninventive. We enjoyed the ambiance and also a personalized and attentive service in the past but this time everyone seemed to go through the motions. Place was packed as usual. My friends enjoyed their dishes and even accommodated one of our vegetarian diners. Live lobster is always the main draw (which ironically I detest for its nature) and my invitee got to do the usual picking from their “tub”. I felt the owner(s) are going through the motions at this point. Not once did anyone addressed me by name or even converse; not even small talk. The most impersonal service ever. But good is good. Even the salads. Seafood is fresh and really solidly cooked. Service started off great and then everyone disappeared and we struggled to get anyone to clear our table and order desserts.

We were staying on the Dutch side of Ste. Maarten and wanted to experience the French side of St. Martin for dinner. We were on vacation for our 40th anniversary and wanted a nice experience. Bistrot Caraibes satisfied our expectations. The menu had good choices and the right serving sizes. My husband had the French Onion soup and the duck and was very pleased with his meal. I had the endive salad with blue cheese and the scallops. Coming from the New England coast where they have the freshest scallops I was a little concerned that I would not enjoy the dish but it was cooked perfectly. My husband had the crème brûlée for dessert and I had the sorbet assortment. My husband said it was very good and the sorbet was very tasty and refreshing. The restaurant finished the dinner with a complementary lemoncello. The ambience was pleasing and comfortable. It took a little while to get the check but I think you have to ask for it. They did not rush you through dinner or out of the restaurant. The only drawback was parking. There is only street parking on a very small busy street. After driving around for a short while we found a parking lot very close to the restaurant for $5 which the restaurant gave back to us. It’s a little dark at night but well worth it. The restaurant is not pretentious, a very enjoyable experience.
