Prefixed Valentine’s Day menu 3 courses
each course special in it’s own right
Ambiance- okay. We were seated in the back private
Dining room- I think the location effected service from the kitchen and only one server was assigned to this area

Highlight-the frequent visits Chef made to our table to get our reaction to each course. The attention was greatly appreciated

We have experienced many wonderful meals at this neighborhood establishment. This is our first V-day
Celebration. It was memorable!

Thank you Chef M and all the staff!

Valentines Day, price fixed limited menu, not great food and expensive. Couldn’t take the one salad on the menu, that had blue cheese, and substitute out the blue cheese — pre-made?

Wonderful food, atmosphere, and service. Although we traveled into the city specifically to try Bistronomic, I feel it is a real neighborhood gem.

My companion and I were warmly welcomed and excellently waited upon. We took the set menu option and were not disappointed – every dish was carefully prepared and presented and quite delicious. We stayed until 11 pm and were the last to leave (note that we were not ASKED to leave). I would recommend Bistronomic to anyone and will be back myself very soon.

Delightful family-owned French restaurant near the Magnificent Mile. Intimate seating, friendly staff, and superb cuisine. Moderate wine list. We found this gem through OpenTable.

On-the-mark French restaurant with bistro-like food/drink options, as well. Very reasonable price points, with small-medium-large plate options. Duck confit was fun and tasty; duck main entree was good, although the butternut squash accompaniment was a bit bland. Pate was a bit pedestrian, but individual cheese appetizers were creative and tasty. Wine menu was solid, although a beaujolais and other French reds would be welcome. Best move of the night: When an unexpectedly large and noisy group moved behind us, our request to move to a quieter table was quickly granted with no complaint. Service was attentive and helpful throughout. All in all, a lovely meal and warm experience on a cold winter's night in Chicago.

I was attracted to their Chicago Restaurant Week special focus on Jacques Pepin. The meal was outstanding, perfectly cooked and seasoned courses beginning with Fish Tartare served with greens and brioche toasts - fresh and complex seasonings that let the freshness of the fish remain. Salmon with ravigote sauce was rich but bright and highlighted by a bed of fennel puree which was a nice harmony of the bite of fennel and the lushness of butter.
The wines by the glass offer unique wines that compliment the food. Service was attentive but not hovering - just right.
I will certainly go here again.

We went for my wife's birthday (observed) as she was sick on her actual birthday. It was more than worth the wait. The Jacques Pepin inspired Restaurant Week menu was delicious. Our server made excellent wine suggestions for our meal. Being Super Bowl Sunday the restaurant was not very crowded, which was an unexpected benefit. We ate here previously for Thanksgiving, and we will be going often I can tell. The $39 prix fixe is a great deal, and the menu is classic, but with the personality of Chef Martial evident. The service is excellent and warm. I suggest this place without reservation.

I liked Bistronomic a lot! The food was good and the presentation was great. I got the restaurant week brunch and my one complaint was that that proportion of food between the pancakes and burger was really stark. Also my pancakes could have had more syrup

I had been here a few years ago for lunch and thought it was very good. this time I thought I'd try it during Restaurant Week. The selections were great and they also let us order from the prix fixe menu as well. The 4 of us were very happy. The food was great, the service was great and they were very accommodating ...... we did have to wait about 20 minutes after our reservation time for our table , but it was restaurant week and it was a Saturday night. all good. Would definitely come back !

Best mussels I've had in Chicago in quite some time. The fries were worthy, too. The wild mushroom salad also fit in, as did the French Rhone wine.

Came here for Restaurant Week 2018. Food was just ok, but VERY VERY small portions. Waiter was just ok, didn't go above and beyond, very quiet. We waited approximately 1hr from the time our appetizer was served until our Entree arrived. We came here because we wanted to try a French restaurant. I would go somewhere else next time. This place didn't stand out. Kind of disappointed.

Simply put, it was great. We got there earlier than planned and we opted to sit at the bar and wait (which was really no time at all). It’s a cozy place with excellent food and service. The head chef makes his presence very well known and made a point to stop by our table at least once to check on how things were.

I just had one of the best, if not the best, dining experiences in the city. I'm a bit of a dining snob, so I don't just like good food… I really appreciate a great experience… And that's exactly what I got. Went for an early dinner on Friday night (5:30), so it wasn't yet crowded… Yet from the moment we entered, the experience was great. Eddie was a fantastic server and made amazing recommendations that were truly because of flavor, not because of price. The escargot, scallops, and baked Alaska were all phenomenal. I am not an escargot fan, but Eddie convince me to give it a try, and I did not regret it. I'm a huge scallops fan and was definitely not disappointed. I would say get whatever dessert stands out to you because they're all probably great. The wine pairings that Eddie recommended made them even more outstanding. My friend and I will definitely be back!

We were one of at least four birthday celebrations the evening we dined. The soups were wonderful as a starter. The ratatouille has a nice taste but was too chopped up for my taste which gave it an odd texture. The salmon was good but extremely rich. The tables are very close together and unfortunately the waiter for the next table continually had his apron on ours. The desserts were very good and added a nice finish. Overall I am glad I went.

Went for Saturday brunch during Restaurant Week and enjoyed it very much. One of us had the prix fixe which had a good variety of selections to pick from. The Belgian waffle (not on prix fixe) was outstanding. Bottomless Mimosa was a good addition and also a thumbs up on the Bloody Mary

We’ve been to this restaurant several times over the past few years and it has always been good. This time, not so much.

My advice would be to have the waiter explain the presentation of whatever you are planning to order.

I ordered a filet with a peppercorn cognac cream sauce for about $30. What I got was a small filet with peppercorns and Demi glacé and a pile of French fries.

The quality of the steak was fine, it was just not presented as described on the menu and the fries were, well fries....

I went here for restaurant week and was REALLY excited about the Jaque Pepin inspired menu. Let's start with the positives: it was absolutely delicious. We didn't have a bad plate of food. Everything we ate was spot one. Sadly, our service was underwhelming. Our server forgot our bottle of wine, and our cheese plates. I later saw our cheese plates being served to a table that already had theirs! The diners said it wasn't for them but they said, "well, have it anyway". Meanwhile, we were sitting without wine and cheese wondering what was going on. We then got our appetizers... still no cheese plate and no server to ask about it. Halfway through our appetizer, I asked the server about the cheese plate and off he went. We then had our appetizers, cheese plate and wine on a small two top... It was tight, and not enjoyable to have our mussel appetizer with cheese plates. After that, our food kept coming out way to fast. I felt like they were trying to push out to get another table sat before service was over. I was never given an apology or a discount on the $200 bill...

Again delicious food and I would go back but I will certainly request to have another server if I get stuck with this guy again.

Upon arrival we requested a table not in the main room which was a bit loud and were immediately accommodated in the side area. The food was delicious, the wine menu had something for everyone and the service wonderful. The brunch celebrating two friend's birthdays could not have been more delightful. I look forward to a return visit.

Overall good visit, highlights included a very nice sea bass special entree, low lights included a ravioli that was served cool and pommes frites that appeared to be "the bottom of the bucket" versus other tables. Server was somewhat distracted, at times very quick (almost hurrying us along), and disappearing at others. All that said, overall was good experience.
