bistronomic Ratings and Reviews
The food here is fabulous. Among our group of 5 we had dishes across the menu spectrum and everyone loved everything. I have to give special cheers to the ahi tuna Niçoise salad. Each component of the salad was perfectly chosen and the tuna itself may have been the best I’ve ever eaten. The ambiance of the place is perfect-so tastefully decorated and neither stuffy nor crazy trendy. Prices are amazingly low for the quality of the dishes served. Table spacing is thoughtful for the rather small room, including draft-blocking curtains near the door. When you dine here you will be satisfied on every level!
Our overall experience, as always, was wonderful! Among the memorable dishes were a beet salad with goat cheese and duck confit ravioli, both specials. The chef was very visible in the dining room, making sure that service went well, dishes prepared to taste, and generally chatting with all the patrons. We particularly appreciate the chef's approach to cooking, which we would describe as being in a classic, but updated, French style. Overall a very relaxing evening! We will return!
Bistronomic is a favorite restaurant of mine, and this visit was no exception. The food was wonderful; we had the duck, a creative and perfectly prepared entree. The escargot was great, as always. We were celebrating my birthday, and for dessert, we were given two wonderful hazelnut chocolate dessert bars along with our profiteroles. The ambience is great here, and it is a good place for conversation. Service--excellent. In all, we enthusiastically recommend Bistronomic. You will love it.
The entire experience was exceptional. The Hostess Hillary set the tone from the moment we stepped into the restaurant. She was attentive and welcoming and just really great. Our server was awesome without being intrusive or diverting. The food, oh man, the food. We both went with the duck confit and we’re not disappointed. We finished it off with the creme brulee and will definitely come back in the future. Highly recommend this fantastic French bistro.
Excellent food and service as this quaint intimate French bistro. The menu has a diverse offering of dishes which can accommodate different dietary styles (I’m a strict vegetarian and there were multiple dishes I could eat). I brought my tween niece and nephew here for a special birthday treat and they enjoyed their meal here especially the mussels, truffles fries, apple crepe and the creme brulee. There’s a kid’s menu which is incredibly helpful since my nephew isn’t an adventurous eater.
While appropriate for kids this would make an ideal restaurant to meet up with friends or a romantic meal.
The service was excellent and very attentive and the restaurant brought out a birthday treat for my niece with the rest of our desserts.
Prices are on par with the quality of food and service and location.
This restaurant is nicely located with a very inviting interior. Unfortunately the food was less than stellar. I found both my appetizer and entree boring and luke warm. Was looking forward to the slices of duck breast that the menu offered, but it tasted if it was cooked days before and warmed up quickly. Again, it unfortunate that the food isn’t better, because this restaurant could really be a popular attraction, that I would love to go back to repeatedly and refer friends as well. But given my experience unlikely to ever go the restaurant again.
Although a fairly quiet Sunday evening, we were seated at a very nice cozy table for two (on the north side of the room) right next to a table of maybe 6 parents and even more virtually unsupervised children (all under 10). The tables were close enough that a parent tipped over a chair without apology that bounced off against mine.
The large group was there when we arrived and was there when we left, really stretching it for children.
The other side of the restaurant (south side) was more open. We should have been seated there.
A group of friends met me here for a holiday gathering. Outstanding food, charming and attentive service, we were checked in on by both the Chef and his wife. We never felt rushed at all- very welcoming. The chicken liver mousse is to-die-for. As was my Tuna Nicoise Salad.
Staff were very accommodating, attentive and friendly. We were a party of 7, seated immediately next to another large party, the noise level was loud at times and difficult to always hear others a few seats away. The food was divine and everyone enjoyed their choices. The St. Germaine Spritzer and coffee were highly complimented by all of us.
The bistro offered up a warming cream of cauliflower soup on a chilly day. The salad Nicoise with tuna was as delightful as any I've had, with an attractive presentation. Bread service was above average. Wine list could stand to have more French representation. Overall an enjoyable, relaxing lunch in a pleasant atmosphere.
French influence without drowning in rich sauces. Mussels we're outstanding. Don't waste calories on the bread without absorbing ALL of the broth... amazing. The ahi tuna appetizer is delicious, you may order two! Entrees are beautifully prepared. We will definitely be back.
