Everything was delicious...impeccable service
Excellent service, professional wine pairings with each course.
Food was amazing, service was outstanding. My only complaint is the cheap sparkling wine they use for Mimosas. You think for $19 they could buy a bit more classy bottle of bubbles.
Great place to take people if you want a high quality meal without a lot of noise. Food is consistently excellent and the menu is classic but varied.
Always marvelous food and reasonably priced for the quality.
Traditional french restaurant that is in need of face lift and renovation. It looked tired. Food was ok. Soup of the day was the best dish on the menu.
This is my second time dining at Bistronomic. We had a group of 6. Service was amazing and the food was spectacular. Great ambience and would definitely return again.
This was a Sunday noon meal. We waited once seated for a server who ended up being the hostess and acted a bit surprised to be our server. We subsequently waited for our coffees which is quite unusual at brunch. The food was very small-portioned when compared to our other brunch favorite Bistrot Zinc. We ordered traditional French favs: two quiches and a croque-monsieur. The quiches could have been frozen and their side salads were almost non-existent. The croque-monsieur was served with the same tiny salad and fries. We had expected more from the online reviews and will not go back, sadly.
Have enjoyed Bistronomic many times for dinner but have never tried their Sunday brunch. The menu was varied and interesting with excellent options for all. Whether you prefer a sweet or savory start to your day you will find an appealing and difficult decision ahead. The talented Chef provides seasonal specials, the staff is attentive without being intrusive and we were allowed to linger without feeling like we overstayed our welcome. The Chef came to check on our satisfaction as did the Hostess. Our server Ilir, was patient as we asked many questions and spent too much time chatting before ordering. I highly recommend adding Bistronomic to your regular dining short list.
Great food, everything was delicious. Loved the bottomless mimosas. Everyone had a great time and would definitely come back!
Great service. Lovely menu. Food was solidly on point. No leftovers! So we liked it. Our waiter was charming and treated us well. Happy dinner.
First tried this place during Chicago Restaurant week and it was amazing so I knew I had to share this find. Brought my friend and daughter back for a birthday dinner that was sublime. Lamb was tender, perfectly cooked and seasoned, amazing salad of kale/endive. My daughter's escargot were expertly cooked and tender, not the rubber one often gets in the states and my friend found the mussels appetizer and steak impressive.
Recommended wines for daily specials were on target and great value for the quality.
Beyond great food, the staff had the perfect balance of warm hospitality while maintaining a discrete distance that made us feel very welcomed. The chef even came out to say Happy Birthday to my friend. I will return again.
Everything was perfect from the hostess’s greeting to service to the delicious kale Caesar, the scallops, duck breast and the very creative takes on creme brûlée.
We started with the escargot 🐌
The apparatus salad and duck breast we on point.
The veggie meal was eaten by Roc.
The desserts were very good.
The lemon Tart was Roc dessert...
She spoke with Hillary and just before leaving the restuarant the chef provide a tart to taken home .
The executive chef/owner (Martial Nuguier) visited our table and it was very delightful.
Lulu greet us warmly and the checked our coat.
The Easter brunch menu was amazing. The savory crepes were the best crepes I’ve ever had and the bread pudding was delicious along with the spring pea quiche! Highly recommend
Love this family owned French bistro.
Delightful family-owned French bistro just off the Miracle Mile
Always greeted warmly as old friends. Love this place.
We have been dining at Bistronomic for several years - since before we became residents of the city. We believe the restaurant just keeps getting better and better. The Chef is not only involved in the kitchen, but in the front of the house as well, greeting patrons, assisting with setting tables, assuring that every detail is attended to, and answering questions as needed. His wife is a warm, gracious and involved manager of the dining room. Both of them have a passion for their food and the highest quality of dining experience. On our most recent trip, we chose the 3 course Passover menu. The asparagus salad had a tiny bit of mint and was delicious, as was the salmon main course. We each selected one of the two desserts on the menu and they were exquisite. It was a great value for $39. We also ordered double expressos - a rare treat for us. Bistronomic has the best expresso in Chicago - never bitter or sour. Our server Eddie was knowledgeable about both the food and the wine. We had a wonderful evening and are thrilled that we now live in Chicago and can walk to Bistronomic regularly.
I love this restaurant, have been a few times and the food and service are always wonderful
I’d forgotten about his place but was really glad I went back! The tuna tartare and the vegetarian entree were standouts!
We chose Bistrononic from browsing many, many Open Table options. We could not have been happier with the experience. From the greeting when we walked in, the prompt seating, the hospitality of the serving and wait staff, to the quality of the food, all was done perfectly. The menu has many options, so something for everyone. I had the escargot, which is probably the best I’ve had here in the US, and the scallop entree that was superb. I would say that I would have it again, but so many other items on the menu I’d like to try. I have every confidence that whatever I choose will be outstanding. Thank you LuLu for a great experience, we will return!!
Staff was friendly and service was paced nicely. The price was great for the food. Starters and dessert were very good but the main course was a salty.
Bistronomic has become our family’s go-to spot for special occasions. We have been consistently impressed with the quality of both food and service. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this restaurant to anyone.
What a pleasant surprise! I wish I had not been dining alone so I could have sampled more. I ordered the seared diver scallops, which came out very quickly and were out of this world. The combination of ingredients on which they were served was creative and delicious. The bread was as expected in a French restaurant...very fresh and tasty. The smell of the steak and frites was making me want that too. I wish I was visiting longer as I would go back for that. The restaurant was not crowded at 6:45 on a Saturday night but was picking up as I left. Divine meal.
Really nice meal & excellent service from Mark. We will be back again
The four of us had lunch.
Had my first dining experience a few months ago been this disappointing, I would never have returned. My guest and I waited an hour for the main course. It was not worth the wait. Our food was so salty it was almost inedible. We struggled to get through half of our respective dishes. Such a shame.
We've eaten at Bistronomics many times over the years and have never been disappointed. The food and service are great and the ambience just right. The Chef is visible in a real, not phony way. I highly recommend Bistronomics.
This restaurant is under-rated, as it is always very good. I started with butternut veloute, which was creamy and delicious. Main courses we chose were the roasted chicken (an overly generous portion which I took home with me for the next day) and the short rib. Each was nicely prepared, garnished and sauced. We finished with the chocolate dessert in orange sauce. Nice selection of wines.
First visit a great success will be back
The detail to preparation and service was perfect
Great fun, service ... bottomless mimosas w brunch were excellent. Recommend the French toast, pancakes and eggs Benedict
Bistronomic is a small restaurant with intimate seating. The décor is very nice, but the lighting is not so low that you have to pull out your phone to look at the menu. The service was good, but our server had some knowledge gaps about some of the menu items. Our food was excellent in presentation and taste. The portions were perfect. We did not leave hungry or stuffed. The prix fixe menu option was a bargain, but I would order off the full menu in a second. You can't go wrong at this wonderful French restaurant.
Service was great and the owners/chef/hostess were very personable. The neighboring table was quite loud, but after they left we were better able to carry on a conversation. The cauliflower soup was amazing! It has French overtones but isn't a purely French menu and not a classic French Bistro. Worth visiting.
Noisy; food great.
We had dinner here with my college-age son and his girlfriend, and we all enjoyed the experience and our meals. I had made a reservation for 6:00 pm and we were early, but they had no issue seating us. I had stone bass, my husband the mussels, my son the steak au poivre, and his girlfriend short-rib ravioli, and they all were delicious. Service was attentive but not overbearing. And the desserts were terrific--get the chocolate-topped creme brulee! Wine list was a bit pricey but we enjoyed our bottle of Oregon Pinot Noir. Would definitely return.
Fantastic food, great service and cozy ambience.
Great food! But the company was the best!
This was my second time & it didn’t disappoint. Portions are the right size, quality is unmatched and the bread is out of this world. Their Prix Fixe menu is a great value.
The service is friendly but also extremely courteous and polite. The food is absolutely delicious. The atmosphere is very relaxing.
Really quite night but the meal was pretty good.
