Prefixed Valentine’s Day menu 3 courses
each course special in it’s own right
Ambiance- okay. We were seated in the back private
Dining room- I think the location effected service from the kitchen and only one server was assigned to this area
Highlight-the frequent visits Chef made to our table to get our reaction to each course. The attention was greatly appreciated
We have experienced many wonderful meals at this neighborhood establishment. This is our first V-day
Celebration. It was memorable!
Thank you Chef M and all the staff!
Valentines Day, price fixed limited menu, not great food and expensive. Couldn’t take the one salad on the menu, that had blue cheese, and substitute out the blue cheese — pre-made?
Wonderful food, atmosphere, and service. Although we traveled into the city specifically to try Bistronomic, I feel it is a real neighborhood gem.
Brunch for three, as always, great food at a fair price.
Was greated by a very energic and shearful French lady. Food was great, service attentive. We will be back!!
My companion and I were warmly welcomed and excellently waited upon. We took the set menu option and were not disappointed – every dish was carefully prepared and presented and quite delicious. We stayed until 11 pm and were the last to leave (note that we were not ASKED to leave). I would recommend Bistronomic to anyone and will be back myself very soon.
Delightful family-owned French restaurant near the Magnificent Mile. Intimate seating, friendly staff, and superb cuisine. Moderate wine list. We found this gem through OpenTable.
On-the-mark French restaurant with bistro-like food/drink options, as well. Very reasonable price points, with small-medium-large plate options. Duck confit was fun and tasty; duck main entree was good, although the butternut squash accompaniment was a bit bland. Pate was a bit pedestrian, but individual cheese appetizers were creative and tasty. Wine menu was solid, although a beaujolais and other French reds would be welcome. Best move of the night: When an unexpectedly large and noisy group moved behind us, our request to move to a quieter table was quickly granted with no complaint. Service was attentive and helpful throughout. All in all, a lovely meal and warm experience on a cold winter's night in Chicago.
Good menu for Restaurant Week. Excellent and attentive waitperson.
I was attracted to their Chicago Restaurant Week special focus on Jacques Pepin. The meal was outstanding, perfectly cooked and seasoned courses beginning with Fish Tartare served with greens and brioche toasts - fresh and complex seasonings that let the freshness of the fish remain. Salmon with ravigote sauce was rich but bright and highlighted by a bed of fennel puree which was a nice harmony of the bite of fennel and the lushness of butter.
The wines by the glass offer unique wines that compliment the food. Service was attentive but not hovering - just right.
I will certainly go here again.
Absolutely perfect place!!!Totally amazing from beginning to end!!!
The food was excellent and delicious with the perfect balanced of flavor and freshness! The staff was very helpful and very professional!
Great team! Thank you!
We would be back !!!
We went for my wife's birthday (observed) as she was sick on her actual birthday. It was more than worth the wait. The Jacques Pepin inspired Restaurant Week menu was delicious. Our server made excellent wine suggestions for our meal. Being Super Bowl Sunday the restaurant was not very crowded, which was an unexpected benefit. We ate here previously for Thanksgiving, and we will be going often I can tell. The $39 prix fixe is a great deal, and the menu is classic, but with the personality of Chef Martial evident. The service is excellent and warm. I suggest this place without reservation.
Very enjoyable Chicago Restaurant Week dinner on Super Bowl Sunday.
I liked Bistronomic a lot! The food was good and the presentation was great. I got the restaurant week brunch and my one complaint was that that proportion of food between the pancakes and burger was really stark. Also my pancakes could have had more syrup
I had been here a few years ago for lunch and thought it was very good. this time I thought I'd try it during Restaurant Week. The selections were great and they also let us order from the prix fixe menu as well. The 4 of us were very happy. The food was great, the service was great and they were very accommodating ...... we did have to wait about 20 minutes after our reservation time for our table , but it was restaurant week and it was a Saturday night. all good. Would definitely come back !
