All the food was delicious and the service excellent as well!!
Small but amazing menu, great service and ambiance for a date night out. Authentic french escargot, fresh bread, and imaginative entrees.
We love Bistronomic . We live in the neighborhood and dying hair fairly regularly. Lulu always greets us With warmth and makes us feel very welcome. The service is excellent and the food is outstanding! And consistently you can count on great food and great service
A wonderful dining experience during the trying COVID days. Personally I prefer not to feel like I am shouting when I am having a meal with friends. I guess that is one good thing about COVID precautions (got to find the silver lining in things you know). We were seated outdoors with heaters and while it was heavily raining, we were very comfortable and dry in the enclosed area.
Briefly I had to go indoors and found that the main dining room was certainly louder. If that is what you want, try to arrange an indoor table.
However, the food was absolutely delicious and perfectly prepared. I had the lamb special and my wife had the white fish special. Desert and wine were perfect compliments to our meal. Our waiter was friendly, attentive and helpful. The service was excellent. We will certainly be going again.
Brunch was good! Blueberry pancakes where amazing 🥰!!
Food was delicious & the service was amazing.
Love the bottomless mimosas!
Absolutely delicious French food. Must try the French onion which includes ham and the steak with au Poivre (pepper sauce).
If you’re a French speaker or even want to try your hand they know French and are kind to those new to the language.
Wonderful experience. We will be back!
All of the above
Easter dinner with my family
We went for the Easter Dinner menu that was advertised on their website only to not have the menu presented when we arrived. The server was accommodating and did speak to the chef who prepared the Rack of Lamb as I desired. However the service was slow, and the Beet Salad was mediocre. The beets did not taste as fresh as the beets I had at another restaurant the day before, and the items did not even have a slight chill as one would expect for a cold item. The lamb I received was tender and cooked perfectly, however the eggplant puree and ratatouille below had a sour taste to it. The fries that accompanied my mother's steak seemed to have been fried in old oil. Nothing was atrocious, but certainly not impressive. I enjoyed my lamb, but I cannot say I will be returning in the future.
Overall a good experience. The service was a little slow. The food was delicious and we loved the French accents some of the staff had. The Caesar salad, onion soup, duck breast, lamb shank were all quite good. The cheesecake was deliciously creamy. I did not like that there’s one unisex bathroom with two stalls. You could potentially be in the bathroom with someone of the opposite sex. I went in by myself and locked the door behind me.
The food is delicious, it was the perfect choice for Easter brunch.
Easter -oversold for the kitchen's capacity - service was cordial and efficient - food was acceptable - not great not bad - overall experience was positive and enjoyable
Mimosas were basically water - no bubbles and very little OJ. Service was a little slow. Food was ok but nothing spectacular.
Pros:
Good service
Very nice brunch dishes (smoked salmon eggs benedict & prime short rib braised in duck fat with potatoes)
Cons:
Marginal coffee, not hot
Seated in the lobby of the Loyola Student Center - not the atmosphere we were expecting, especially as it was still very quiet in the restaurant when we arrived
Ideally would have rated our experience a 3.5
First time going to Bistronomic, we enjoyed the food and service. Do wish the hostess would've seated us somewhere else, but don't know whether they gave option between outside covered seating or inside dining room. My husband and I did the Restaurant Week menu and it was wonderful.
So delicious!!!
The food was great. Deserts were phenomenal. I especially appreciate the attention by the maître d', who gave us a great table for our date and the server, whose suggestions made it a great meal.
Restaurant week— fabulous food, exceptional service. Bistronomique never fails to exceed 100%
Cocktails are great, but the food (especially the deserts) missed for us.
The food was amazing, no doubt. The service was also great. My biggest issue was how crowded the place was. Things weren't even 3ft apart. People were constantly walking past us. We're still in a pandemic, so it was a bit claustrophobic for that. They also had a bit of a mix up trying to locate our reservation, but we were sat quickly and served on a timely manner.
Service is amazing, we liked the food but did not love it. Would happily go again though!
Great dinner out - romantic and delicious. Wine was pricey...also, chocolate diplomate was a bit disappointing. But everything else (chicken, beef, appetizers) was amazing and very fairly priced.
Amazing food! Felt like I was in France. Their restaurant menu was perfect. I have a tree nut allergy and they were very accommodating.
Enjoyed being out again and the atmosphere!
The salad and chicken liver mouse were excellent and fresh. Beef Bourguignon and Faro Island Salmon were superb. A very pleasant evening.
Nice place to grab quick business lunch
Lovely restaurant! However, my friend and I both were very sick after our meals. The beet salad was one of the best salads ever.
Food was exceptional
I just love this restaurant. The food is magnificent!
One of my favorite places in the neighborhood. Wonderful atmosphere and food.
Our dinners were wonderful. The atmosphere was comfortable and calm. Unfortunately, it was very busy and the two servers were stretched thin.
A most perfect experience in dining. The ambiance, the service, the food were all great. The chef comes to tables to say hello and ask about the food. Not to be missed if in Chicago.
We went to Bistronomic during Restaurant Week so our experience probably wasn't typical. We were seated right away, but then it took 15 or 20 minutes to get our beverages and it was exactly an hour after being seated that we got any food. The waitperson was courteous but this was ridiculous. And there were only two items on the brunch menu for Restaurant Week, and they were out of the one we wanted. Imagine: only two items on the menu and they ran out of one. They provided a similar substitute, but it's not what we wanted. Rather ordinary pancakes with a few blueberries were not the orange French toast with Grand Marnier sauce that we had counted on.
Over crowded / 100% capacity / lack luster food for brunch
Not what I expected and ver disappointing.
Good restaurant week combo. I like the deserts. And the french toast is also great.
We had a delightful repast from the restaurant week prix fixe menu with some additions (loved the added onion soup!). Our server was very attentive and did a wonderful job explaining our choices, the rest of the staff was very courteous and responsive. The chef/owner came out a couple of times to check on us, which was a great touch and appreciated. First time experience and will definitely come back!
This was a girl's night on the town for us. We all decided to do the restaurant week menu and it was outstanding food and service! I'd highly recommend. Perfect spot for friends catch up, date night or a treat for yourself. I loved the bar and ambiance so beautiful!
Unbelievably good food for a more-than-fair value. I would gladly come here again and again if I lived closer. The best food I’ve ever had.
