Wonderful French Bistro! Great fixed price 3 course special, great soups, always creative 4 star specials!
Delicious food, efficient friendly service, nice cozy atmosphere. We had escargots, winter salad, chicken liver pate, and spinach ricotta ravioli. All very tasty. And it always helps to hear a French accent from your server when you're at a French restaurant!
Great food, great location, but in need of additional servers.
Always gracious and fine food. Wish there had been more seafood options. Missed seeing Chef Noguier or his wife—but it was a week night. Eddie took good care of us.
Birthday dinner. Excellent food and service as well as selective wine list
Wonderful food and presentation. Great value. One of the best.
This is a friendly restaurant serving superb food!
This is an authentic bistro that I would have lunch and dinner at at least once a week if I could. Just perfect. What a gift to Chicago. The owners care so much and are delightful.
Good service nice food place is a bit crammed but it’s cozt
Bistronomic is a gem not to be overlooked or missed. The various sizes of plates for sharing is a real plus. Food and service are excellent at a reasonable price point.
First time in Chicago and it was recommended from a friend who raved about how good it was. It did not disappoint! Mimi our server was excellent and made some great recommendations. The food was the best I’ve had, atmosphere was great! A must for anyone visiting Chicago!
A very good restaurant in the Gold Coast. Like all places in this area, it isn't cheap; you can expect to pay more than you prefer. (Chicago's absurd sales tax rates don't help that either.) The menu is excellent, the food isn't too 'nouveau cuisine" to be edible, and the atmosphere is wonderful. I will definitely return!
Tuna Tartare was excellent. Bordeau by the glass also very good. Had scallops for the entree which was splendid. Good value for Chicago.
Excellent French Bistro. French comfort food in a good atmosphere. Good to take clients to during the week; and a great spot for "date night" on the weekends. Can't miss!
We loved the dinner, our waiter Raul was so helpful. Great french food.
We dined on a Monday night and there was a prix fixed three course menu. It was 34.00 per person. I chose the salmon as my entree and my husband had the mussels in a pasta dish. Both were excellently prepared although I felt that the salmon portion might have been a little small for a gentleman. My husband had an ample supply of the pasta. Service was excellent. The waiter was very attentive. Overall, the meal was a deal for the quality of the food.
Good fun and speciality drinks.
The hostees is a delight!
Menu is simple, there is nothing unique, but nicely prepared. The desserts I would skip next time.
Always exceptionally good on all counts. A neighborhood favorite!
Wonderful experience and great meeting the chef at the end of our service
We went with another couple (4 ppl total) for the NYE early seating. The menu looked Devine; the hostess was completely charming, the restaurant had a great vibe & energy. Throughout the meal, the food was delicious, with the only exception being a slightly undercooked ravioli appetizer, which we didn’t mention- it was all delicious. However, like other reviews have warned, service and pacing of the meal was poor. Being a set menu, they requested all selections at the start of the meal, which was fine, however one would think that would aid them in pacing tables through, particularly knowing there was another seating coming. However, there was lots of lag between courses and little check in from the server. Most notably, 40 minutes passed from when our dinner plates were cleared & my dessert wine was served (I was never told what it was), and when dessert actually came. Looking around us, it seemed it was a common experience and the restaurant was getting backed up with folks waiting for tables. After dessert, another 20 minutes for our check. Overall, we enjoyed the meal but 3 hours was longer than anticipated.... we don’t want fast food and wanted to enjoy our conversation, company, and meal, but this really dragged. we’d like to enjoy the food again, but given the uninspired & disinterested service, not sure.
Martial is one of the best chefs in Chicago. We highly recommend bistronomic.
Loved it, service was amazing and also the food
Always great food and service. Very good for pre-theater dinner.
A great experience from the hostess to the exit. Wonderful ambience, great menu without being excessive, the meals were expertly prepared and presented, and a convenient location as well. Looking forward to returning during my next visit to Chicago.
Didn't think it was anything special. Food was just ok. Service was just ok. Nothing really stood out.
Ambiance was nice and our waiter was good! The food was just WAY TOO salty. There were 3 of us: one ordered a burger, another ordered muscles, and I ordered the the ravioli. All of us were not happy with how salty the food was overall. The drinks were generously poured & a quiet enough place where we have conversations.
Exceptional food and outstanding service! Went here for the first time for Christmas Eve dinner and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of food and wine selections. Will definitely be coming back to eat!
Friendly staff. The lamb and duck confit were very tasty.
Great Christmas Eve Prefix menu. Reasonably price wine pairings as well.
It was a great place. We found it online and were genuinely pleased.
Really lovely restaurant with a nice variety of entrees, great wine list and friendly service. Wait staff was attentive and the service timely. Prices are fair and portions ample.
Excellent spot for dinner! Loved the food, service and ambiance. Will definitely be back!
The head chef sat us and was so delightful. Very welcoming and friendly.
Love having it in the neighborhood! Food is very good and service is terrific.
Out second trip to Bistronomic. Even though we had early reservations on a Sunday (pre-theater) and the restaurant was virtually empty, we had to seek out a waiter to get him to take our drinks order. And then he wanted our food order right away because groups were coming in (not a single other person had arrived). Aside from that, food was good (salmon was delicious), decaf coffee was strangely flavored, butternut squash soup had an unexpected (kinds good) cheese flavor. Not their best effort, overall, but I wouldn’t give up on the restaurant because of this ‘just okay’ experience.
Appetizers were good but the main course of Faroe island Saimon was only fair
The food was delicious! Service was great and the ambiance was perfect.
Martial is one of the best restaurants in Chicago. We highly recommend bistronomic for brunch, lunch, dinner or parties.
