Asian
A chic restaurant that features contemporary Asian fusion cuisine, Bistro Wasabi in Lake in the Hills serves a varied menu. Specializing in traditional sushi, chefs Jino Kim and Mr. Park also add a bit of Latin, Korean, Italian and French influence to create dishes unique to Bistro Wasabi. Jino Kim gained a passion for Japanese cooking after moving to Pittsburg from South Korea. He infuses his talents and familial roots to create authentic Asian dishes with modern flair.

Some of the kitchen's specialties include its tempura, sesame essence salmon and peppercorn ahi tuna. A full bar also serves a variety of Japanese beers, sake, wine and unique cocktails that are made to complement any dish. Open throughout the week, Bistro Wasabi serves dinner.

Excellent food, presentation and service.
Pretty nice ambiance for a strip mall location!

Overall great service and good food, but because my husband and I eat sushi and Japanese cuisine often, Bistro Wasabi didn’t particularly stand out. The fish was fresh and service was great, but the sushi could use more flavor and excitement. Maybe it was the kind we ordered

Really love this place but last two times service has been extremely slow. Understaffed. Tough to find good people and enough people. Doing best they can but give yourself a couple hours if you go on a Friday or Saturday night.

Love the fresh food and the martinis are the best! They are always happy to accommodate special requests. One of my favorite spots for a family dinner, date night, or girls night out!

We went there for Valentine’s Day. We had amazing sushi, and tempura mushrooms. Their martinis are the best! Love this place!

I have gone to Bistro Wasabi several times. It is always consistently great. Everyone I take there loves it and wants to go back.

The food is fresh and nicely presented. The peppercorn tuna is to die for.

My wife and I celebrated our anniversary (first date) here. The food here is beyond exceptional. I can highly recommend starting with the asparagus beef rolls, you will not be disappointed. Actually, everything we have tried has been amazing, from any of the maki rolls to the phenomenal entrees, you cannot go wrong with anything you order. Decent selection of wines, most from Napa area, but definitely not a huge assortment. I have heard they have excellent cocktails, but I cannot voice for that myself... my wife and I are wine drinkers.

They went the extra mile for our anniversary by presenting us with a ice cream dessert with “Happy anniversary” written out in chocolate sauce on the plate. The staff is attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. I cannot speak highly enough about Bistro Wasabi. This is our go to place anytime we are craving great sushi, once you try it, this will be your go to place as well.

Been wanting to dine here and glad we did. Food was excellent, great variety and very fresh tasting. Restaurant became very crowded and the service slowed a bit. Our server recognized this and brought over a complementary drink. Not necessary, but appreciated. Neighborhood gem, given the vibe in the restaurant, you do not feel like you are in the suburbs! A new favorite for us!

The decor is modern, clean and stylish but the food was mediocre. Good for people who do not really know good sushi but would rather have stylish ambiance. Similar to Shakou but much smaller. I would go back there for a romantic dinner but not really for good food

Asparagus beef rolls are amazing. If you go, you have to try them. Limited wine selection, but a few good cabs from Napa that are reasonably priced. We went on a Saturday night and they were short staffed, so service was a little slow. I’m sure it would have been better if they were fully staffed.

The Maguro Salad is a must, although it will take some time to get to the table. Order chips to accompany it.

We went to dinner for our anniversary. The food was amazing, on the pricier side. I would recommend the peppercorn ahi tuna as an entree. We also had various sushi rolls which were out of this world, fresh and full of flavor!

Great great food. Fresh, the peppercorn seared tuna and the pork cutlet is some of family favorites.
The Ceviche is delicious as is the avocado tempura on appetizer menu. Good value. Even the salmon and steak is perfectly done. It's a little gem in this location and overlooked in Huntington Plaza strip mall. Feels like a local chic place in a city but out in the burbs. Sushi's are all fresh. There is no really bad dish on menu.
Have even booked whole restaurant for company's corp events with out of country VIP's.
