Took my boyfriend here for his birthday and it was the best. The place is really clean, the waiters/waitress were really nice. The food was amazing and you get a large portion. They even helped me surprise him with his birthday desert. Most definitely a 5/5.
The server was of little help explaining food or wine menu. We felt very out of place and were treated very poorly. Girls night out turned into a nightmare. Over heard management and staff talking poorly about us. As a server I was shocked that they felt it was appropriate to say anything about anyone within a few feet of customers. Definitely will not be going back.
My wife and I celebrated our anniversary here and it was perfect!
We were in Denver for a weekend getaway & decided to try Bistro Vendome!
Food, service, drinks, dessert - all fantastic! My only complaint would be that we made reservations for 8:30pm and it was almost 9pm before we were seated!
Everything was great except that I made a reservation and requested to sit inside. We were brought to a table outside. When we requested a table inside again, we were told that we would have to wait another 30 minutes (on top of the 15 minutes we had already waited past our reservation time). We decided to just take the table outside only to find out that the host sat another 2 top inside right after sitting us. Very disappointed. Other than that.. the food was fantastic and our server was great!
Had to wait a bit with a reservation, but was still totally worth it.
Great food, excellent service.
As wonderful as always!!!
Had a lovely little date night here. We have been meaning to check it out for awhile and finally made it in. Food was very classic French bistro. Not fussy. Staff was very pleasant and quick. Tables spaced plenty far apart, they had indoor and outdoor options.
We have been celebrating my daughter's birthday at Bistro Vendome for the last several years. Each year the food gets better.
The extended courtyard has become one of our favorite spots in Denver to enjoy meals. The food is always perfect, and the service matches. We have dined at Bistro Vendome for years and years, and it continues to be a staple on our restaurant list.
This is one of our favorite restaurants! Love the food and outdoor seating makes you feel like you are in Paris.
Perfect date night!! The food was absolutely perfect-from the amuse bouchée to desert.
A great restaurant for a special occasion. The mussels are a must try.
Whenever we are in Denver - we book Bistro Vendome. It is consistently spectacular! Our server, Nathan, was delightful. Our daughter had the Gnocchi Parisienne and my husband and I had the Mussels. Pair that with a fabulous bottle of French Chablis - and our night was complete!
We loved the ambience on the patio. Food was good, not great, for my taste. Liked the trout frites, even tho I would have preferred more spice. Excellent autumn salad! Excellent price for the tartare but it tasted too much of anchovy and caper and not enough of fresh meat.
Nice outdoor seating on the patio, they brought a propane heater right away. Very attentive server, food was hot and delicious. A great place to dine.
Beautiful outdoor patio under twinkling lights with incredible French delights. This is one of our favorite places for a special night out. Escargot, duck confit and beef bourguignon were sublime. Service, superb.
Bistro Vendome has a lot of character. Unfortunately, even on a slow pandemic night, the main server lacked attentiveness or even interest. It reflects poorly on the reservation system too. In terms of cuisine, the Bistro approximates its Parisian or Lyonnaise models sufficiently for the weak in terms of French cuisine, Denver restaurant scene.
My wife chose this restaurant for my birthday brunch because she knows I like it. We were seated promptly, service was attentive as usual and everyone (5) said their food was delicious. We had bellinis and mimosas to start with Salade d'Automne which was very tasty and some Moules (mussels) and then a bottle of red Bordeaux with the main courses. The desserts sounded so good we ordered one of each and passed them around. They didn't make it around a second time!
Nice quiet atmosphere. Could actually carry on a conversation.
We had dinner on 10.27 at Bistro Vendome and had a wonderful experience. First of all, we appreciated the way tables were set far apart. Second, the food was great – onion soup, confit de canard and chocolate souffle were all delicious and so satisfying. Third, we had a great server, Michael. We really appreciated his attentive, but not intrusive service. He was a gem.
I know it’s so very difficult for restaurants at this time, so I appreciate even more that Bistro Vendome has kept up its high standards. We have done take-out from Rioja a couple of times this year, but now we realize that we haven’t been paying enough attention to another great restaurant in the group.
Thank you for making my 72nd birthday dinner so special.
We ordered the happy hour warm olives and fried gnocchi. Both were very tasty. Good start. The onion soup--well it was OK, plain cup (crockery would have been nice) and very beefy. needed to tone down the beefy-ness and add more butter and onion. Overall though OK. The mains were disappointing. Boeuf Bourguignon and Steak/frite. Frites were interesting, crispy and tossed in champagne which adds a hint of sweetness. The steak was small, bearnaise sauce was good but served in a very small thimble. As for the bourguignon, that has just 3 small pieces of nicely cooked meat and no sauce at all. Disappointing. The wine list was short but had nice French wines at reasonable prices. I don't think I would recommend the restaurant until the food gets better.
Really good french bistro feel and food. Steak frites were some of the best I've had. Service was very friendly and attentive!
So good ... Probably the best experience and food I have had in a year ... amazing. Not rushed and I could almost imagine we were at a cafe in Paris. Highly recommend.
From the host to the food..all was excellent !!!
Thank you, my girlfriend was not disappointed, that makes us both happy.
We will go back if we visit Denver again.
Terrible experience. First of all they sat us at our table, and the surface clearly had not been cleaned. This is inexcusable at anytime, but in the current COVID climate it is unconscionable (with no more than "I'll get that for you", rather than an offer to sit us at a clean sterilized table). And then from an aesthetic standpoint we had the romantic view of the open !? storage closet, and had to listen to the exceptionally loud patio door constantly opening/closing. My partner's escargot and duck were fine, my own pate was too dry and the trout lacked anything to make it stand out from standard kitchen fare. A very disappointing evening.
Food was amazing! Ambience absolutely beautiful.
Great food ( delicious French cuisine ), great service ( The people here are amazing! ) great ambiance ( hidden gem on Larimer) overall enjoyed brunch what an awesome place!!! Love dinning here!!!
Charming and delicious! Hands down the best brunch I have had in Denver so far. The duck benne was INCREDIBLE. I have no idea what they do to their frites but I was in love!! They were perfectly crispy, savory, and a little sweet all at once. The service was just the right amount of interaction and attention. Can't wait to go back!
Nice Dino outside in the courtyard. Excellent food.
Good food and excellent delivery. Was not rushed and given time to enjoy the food.
The perfect setting for recreating a date night. Our waitress was amazing and great recommendations for drinks and food. I highly recommend the starry night. The escargot was not my favorite and tasted like the garden but I fully enjoyed everything else we have tried. The French Onion soup, the French bread, the Beouf and Duck were delicious and the creme brulee topped off our meal and was expertly paired with a delicious dessert wine. I highly recommend and will definitely be coming back!
Our male server was really on top of it for us. Unfortunately, we had noisy people next to us so moved. We were told that there was only one server so it took a while. We noticed the ladies who were cleaning up and seating people jumped into help. The male server bent over backwards to help out me who is a vegetarian and asked for vegetables as a side along with my salad and some bread. The chef worked with the server so kudos for being helpful to us even with being slammed with customers!
Trout was delicious. Appetizers were tasty.
We were seated in the wine room which was kind of a bummer. But I did reschedule from later to earlier and did not request outside and it was a Friday night. So maybe we forgave them.
Waitress was wonderful. They mixed a special drink not on the listing and it was great.
The service was great! The value of the meal was too $$$ for the food you get. GOOD tasting food not GREAT tasting food. Good music playing in the background; But yet the ambience was aimed toward people in their 50s. My group was in late 20s early 30s
Limited brunch menu.
After $90 for 2 people, still hungry upon leaving.
Were seated right by entrance to kitchen which was not ideal. Food was mediocre at best. Servers were generally nice.
