The food was delicious and portions were perfect! The atmosphere made the meal feel really special and we loved the piano music as well! Our server (I believe his name was Kiefer) was extremely attentive and gave great service!
Had the FETTUCCINE BOLOGNESE tonight and it was perfect for the cold winter night we are having.
We had a great night!!
Restaurant Week 2022 was great at Bistro Romano. Our waitress Viviane was very attentive.
I had the special GRILLED FLANK with pee wee potatoes, caramelized onion and bourbon puree, cauliflower. It was perfect for a cold winter night in Philadelphia. The caramelized onions made for the perfect sauce for the steak.
Restaurant week menu was delicious! The host and our waitress were super hospitable and made great conversation and kept us informed. The only thing that was a little off was the fact that the house wine was double the price than it was in their store so I was surprised … Otherwise loved every course! The tomato pesto was the star of the night!
One of the best restaurants in Philadelphia. An intimate setting without being pretentious and a menu that can be enjoyed by almost any palate.
We are visiting from Chicago and wanted to end our trip with a nice dinner. This meal was FANTASTIC. The pasta was savory and delicious, the desserts are fresh, and even the bread we were served was airy and flavorful with an amazing dipping oil. Aside from that, everyone that works here is extremely kind and helpful. I want to give a special shout-out to our server, Luke, for going above and beyond in making our dinner experience wonderful. I highly recommend this place!
Perfect Sunday night dinner during a snowstorm.Bartender Sean was friendly and attentive- great wine recommendations. This is a neighborhood gem. Venison special was delicious.
As usual, a fun, relaxing time with great food on a snowy winter’s evening.
Very intimate atmosphere with a great menu and a cool vibe overall.
We’ve been here before and my husband and I decided to try restaurant week. The dinner was very very good but the service is impeccable. And the ambience is very unique and intimate. We will definitely dine here again.
Great food, excellent service. Food is a bit pricey but will continue to go back for special occasions!!!
The food was exceptional! We had a party of 6 for restaurant week and we’re so pleased with our meals.
AMAZING. Sweetest staff and incredibly delicious food. Was such a treat!
I rented the private cellar for a birthday for 9.
The guests before us didn’t leave until 9:15 ish and then we felt really rushed because of closing.
We also was never asked to sign the wine bottle which was a big part of the reason that I wanted to go.
The food was great, the service was great. Other than the rush I have no complaints
Had the special SEMOLINA LINGUINE with turnip, kohlrabi, braised oxtail ragout. It was perfect for a cold winter night.
The food was outstanding. Congratulations to the chefs. The service was amazing They treat us and made us feel special. Thanks very much.
Never a bad night here! We were seated upstairs which was just as nice as the bottom floors. We all did the restaurant week menu, and everything was delicious. The gnocchi is perfectly cooked and melts in your mouth. The burrata and mushroom soup were also both delicious. The white chocolate budino was absolutely perfect and I left wanting about 15 more. 10/10 recommend amazing date spot!
Great dinner with friends. All appetizers and pasta dishes were outstanding. Restaurant week menu had many interesting choices. Wonderful staff, we forgot a phone and they called us right away. Looking forward to returning.
Went there for restaurant week with my family. The food was good and the server was very attentive. However, I must say it was disappointing that they changed their gnocchi recipe for the restaurant week menu, aside from giving out a much smaller portion. Restaurant week might seem like a good deal, but you’re much better off ordering from their everyday menu in my opinion, and that goes to every restaurant in Philly. It’s not what it used to be but I can hardly blame the restaurants with everything that’s been going on.
Everything was delicious, we were so happy we chose this restaurant
Excellent service, delicious dinner and inviting atmosphere. We were not rushed and enjoyed our experience. We will definitely return. Convenient parking as well.
Love it here. Food is always amazing. Our waiter and other staff made suggestions for wine that were amazing.
The food was spectacular. We arrived a few minutes early, but were seated in time for our reservation. It was Restaurant Week so the deal was amazing.
The first time we went to Bistro Romano for restaurant week it was an amazing experience. We were so excited to see it was an option again this year. However, the restaurant menu this year was extremely limited and portions were a lot smaller. We went with a groups of friends hoping for the same amazing experience but unfortunately we were met with horrible service. For multiple courses, we were not given utensils and on one occasion, the server took my friend's food when he wasn't done eating yet. I understand they wanted to turn tables quick but it left a horrible impression on our guest. Other than the service and small portions, the food was still wonderful.
Great service, food was pretty good but some were an acquired taste (less flavor or a bit too salty), great atmosphere
Great dinner experience. We went for restaurant week. This is a restaurant I will definitely patronize when it’s not restaurant week. Everything was delicious. Our server was Alex, and she constantly kept checking on us. There were also a couple of men wearing suits walking around checking on everyone. Alex had already taken our drink order. He didn’t realize it and came to take our drink order when she walked up with our drinks. Everyone was very attentive. The restaurant is a little tight when trying to navigate to the bathroom with the staff and other patrons. It was pretty crowded but I didn’t feel like I could hear anyone’s conversation. We also weren’t made to feel rushed either. I saw that they offer a chef’s tasting menu. My friend and I will definitely be back for that. Great Job Bistro Romano. My only recommendation would be to have wrapped straws. With Covid, I would rather be the only one who actually touches my straw.
Wonderful experience from the moment we walked in!!!!
I had the special ROASTED VENISON LOIN with red cabbage agridolce, apple and fermented greens, sorrel, bone marrow farro. The venison was like butter and the farrow with bone marrow rivals truffles in deliciousness.
Excellent winter meal.
Such a great place! The food is so flavorful and staff is polite and welcoming, definitely recommend. AND the drinks are a PLUS!
Great experience in the wine cellar. They went above and beyond to make our Anniversary night special with candles, rose petals and drinks on the house. Exceptional service from our server, Kishor; with a romantic and quiet atmosphere in the cellar. We’ll definitely be back!
Went for restaurant week & portion sizes were great. Food was delicious with a great wine selection. Server was attentive & the ambiance was wonderful
We did the restaurant week menu, and all of the courses were outstanding. Atmosphere was unique, as well. Definitely get the burrata, but honestly, you can't go wrong with anything.
Food was amazing! We had our own little cozy corner. Drinks were really good too!
The food was amazing. The special cocktail was delicious. The waitstaff was friendly, attentive and delightful. The restaurant is absolutely adorable! I would highly recommend this restaurant for any occasion.
Great spot for a date
Very good food and service
I had the MAGRET DUCK BREAST with sweet potato, kohlrabi, braised white beans, mustard. It was perfect for a cold night in January. The duck has the underlying flavor of foie gras, but reminds of a cassoulet. Delicious and perfect for the first nice dinner of the New Year.
This was an amazing experience! It was New Year’s Eve and very busy, the restaurant gave us the private wine cellar. Beautiful candles and ambience to celebrate the year end. The food was incredible, especially the lobster ravioli and short rib ravioli. We will definitely be back again!!
