The food was absolutely amazing! And the atmosphere was just as great! Definitely one of the best date spots I’ve ever been to and I hope that others will give it a go.

Food and service never dissappoint! Grilled octopus is a must if you like seafood. We were celebrating our anniversary and they brought us champagne on the house!

Food was good. Service was marginal. Had to ask twice for a beverage and never did receive a side item that was ordered.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in the city. The downstairs area is beautiful & cozy. The pianist upstairs is always good. Save room for dessert. Great spot for a date night or special occasion.

We were able to get reservations for Valentine’s Day and it was a wonderful evening! The food was spectacular. From beginning to end every course was absolutely delicious. The ambience and the rose petals and decorations gave the evening a truly special touch. Our waitress was extremely friendly and so accommodating. Everything was incredible. My compliments to the chef and the staff! We will absolutely be back for date nights and more!

Amazing 5 course meal for Valentine’s day. Things that I didn’t think I would like I ended up liking because the food was amazing. Perfect place for an anniversary or a date night.

I would always recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice date. We've had the same waitress, Emily the past couple times we went there and she is attentive, insightful, and helpful in every way. We did the restaurant week and the Valentine's day course and both were exceptionally done. Sourdough bread is a big bonus and their wine selection has a great variety by the glass.

If I had to look for a negative, I would say that only the tables were a little wobbly but it really didn't become noticeable until someone asked us about it.

Great stuff.

Nice ambiance-great service. The pasta was a little bit starchy and the meats a little bit salty for our taste but nonetheless delicious.

My fiancé Amy and I wanted a romantic location for Valentines Day. The restaurant was crowded but not overly so. The waitress was pleasant although we sat a little longer than anticipated. We got a bit of a surprise when we wanted to order off the main menu but we were told it was not available as there was a special Valentines Day menu for everyone. I ordered an inexpensive Riesling which was good & went well with dinner. The menu consisted of a number of selections for its 4 courses - we had the whipped ricotta with fig jam & apple as the “amuse” course (tasty), the scallop crudo for antipasti (see opinion below), the tagliolini pasta course (could have used a spoon to “twirl”), a shrimp & scallop main course with crab risotto, roasted tomato & a lemon butter sauce (good) and for dessert, a trio of vanilla mousse with strawberry jam, chocolate truffle cake & blackberry bread pudding.

All were well prepared & served except the scallop crudo which was a big disappointment to us both, with Amy describing it as a “...bad lead-in”. I thought her comment rather complimentary - in my opinion the dish was not palatable for taste and texture. Crudo in Italian means “raw” & isn’t like a ceviche. To be well executed, a delicate balance has to be achieved with everything - temperature, texture, seasoning, etc., to enhance the fish’s natural flavor. What we got was bland & mushy. The other courses were well executed although Amy found the chocolate truffle cake rather rich.

I would dine here again. Although our selections missed the mark, I found the restaurant to be an excellent choice.

Always very good. Last visit was Valentine's Day. Everything was very good as always however would of preferred being in the cellar in lieu of upstairs, ambience is just better. Possibly my fault for not specifying.

Great experience. Celebrated our Anniversary. When we arrived, table had rose petals and they had champagne ready for us. Ambiance was very nice. Apps and dinner were not amazing, but good. Gnocchi was very good, all other items were ok. Great date night spot. Also they have a specific Vegetarian menu.

Food was plated and presented very nicely. Our waiter, Karsen, was very helpful with suggestions and had a nice professional manner. Cocktails were tasty and we were even treated to house made chocolate strawberry cello. Our entrees were very tasty with good sized portions. Dessert was excellent. Will definitely be back to try out the rest of the menu. Our bartender, Jack, was even kind enough to arrange an Uber for us when our ride did not show.

We were at Bistro Romano celebrating a birthday with a large group of women. The service was wonderful and the staff catered to all of our needs. As for the food, the restaurant did not disappoint us. Everything was delicious and we tried a lot of different dishes. It was worth our trip into the city and we look forward to revisiting this establishment in the future. Put it on your list of restaurants to visit!

Amazing for a date experience. We dined downstairs which was really cool and romantic. The gnocchi and lobster ravioli were delicious. We split the duck which was the best duck I have ever had. The crispy skin on top was like bacon. We couldn’t get enough of it! 10/10 would recommend and will be back.

Familiar food prepared in an elevated way. Not fancy or pretentious, just delicious. Great staff, very knowledgeable about the menus. Restaurant is located in a fun neighborhood, easy to stroll. Salumeria was a great starter, and the lobster ravioli and gnocchi dishes were uncommonly good, we ate every bit. We sat in the lower level and I liked the cozy atmosphere but my husband wasn't impressed and felt like he was eating in a basement. Aside for that our dinner was a lovely experience and perfect for a birthday dinner.

Celebrated my wife birthday here and everything was amazing. The service was great and we weren’t rushed in any way. The waiter made great recommendations and the food was excellent. We arrived at 7:30pm and left at 9:45pm which was awesome we have 2 infants at home and some time away was well needed. It was like a first date excellent experience would recommend to anyone!

Love this hidden gem! My boyfriend and I love to go here anytime he's in town. Their menu is always changing-- and the specials are always delicious! We went the other night to celebrate our one year anniversary and they greeted us with a glass of champagne & rose petals! The space and vibe of Bistro Romano is great--romantic and quiet!

Amazing place! Five stars all around for this restaurant!
I surprised my boyfriend for dinner here for his birthday and we both had the best experience. Both first timers. Staff were friendly and professional. My boyfriend did the Chef’s tasting and he loved every dish. I got the chicken which was so delicious and perfect. At the end they brought out a little chocolate dessert with a candle and wished a happy birthday to my date. Very romantic place. Perfect for any occasion. We definitely will be returning!!
