Our meal and service was excellent. Sunset view of Lake Michigan from the patio was relaxing
The food was good but the price on some items was too high. Our server, Ann, was tremendous.
We ordered the Date night meal and it was fantastic!
Everything was wonderful. The patio with the fans going provided great atmosphere, are server was very attentive, and the food was phenomenal. Highly recommended.
Quite good food. Attentive wait staff. Good wine selection. Come early when it is not noisy and/or during the week. Well worth the trip.
Delicious food and exceptional service. Spectacular vow of sunset.
The recently renovated dining room creates a great atmosphere. Our martinis before dinner were generous, unlike those in many restaurants now. Chef Cheryl's food, as usual, was superb. For the first time ever I was offered gluten free baguettes, which tasted great and made my dinner that much more special. Our server was top notch, and, as icing on the proverbial cake, we got to watch a splendid sunset over Lake Michigan through the glass doors to the patio. I can't wait to make another trip to Saint Joe and stay at the Boulevard and eat at the Bistro again.
Wonderful menu! We are eager to work through it over the summer.
Great restaurant. The food was high quality, expertly prepared with superb ingredients and flavor combinations. We enjoyed our meal on the balcony overlooing the lake.
We had a fabulous dinner experience. The staff were all excellent - attentive and friendly. The wine was wonderful, both our entrees were tasty and cooked perfect. Had a crab appetizer that was also superb. A nice sunset view to boot! 😎 A+
Had not been there in 10 years and it was always a favorite. Thrilled to see it had been re-decorated and the food was better than ever. Large menu with a lot of variety. Will be back. Was really excellent. A stand out and one of the top restaurants in the area.
Our waitress was very attentive and the food was excellent
Fantastic evening with a great atmosphere.
Love coming here for the food and the view! The people just add to the fun!
Great food. Plenty of seafood, interesting sauces, unusual garnishes . Also lots of heavy starchy stuff. And that's the story of this restaurant -- it is walking the line between serving local clientele (including babies, work groups, and noisy parties where you drink'till you black out) along with people who want a quiet, gourmet dinner. The decor has been re-done. The interior no longer looks like the set of the Lawrence Welk show. But it is NOISY. All sound buffers have been removed, all surfaces have been polished to a highly-reflective sheen. If you want to enjoy good food and converstion, best to go during the week.
We've been loving our dinner dates at the Bistro. We started going there this winter and were so very pleasantly surprised with the wonderful menu selection. The halibut is my go to dish, prepared to perfection.
Our waitress (and the waitress who was serving the table next to us) seemed to "forget" about us a lot. Our waitress said she would be "right back with more water" and visited the table twice before actually bringing the water. Our food was good, not great and overpriced. I'm a foodie and have no problem paying for good food, however; this is not the place to visit with high expectations.
35th wedding anniversary
Overall, it was very good. The cauliflower appetizer is excellent!
Great food, Great Service! Enjoyed our waiter. Everything was great except one dish seemed off to us. The waiter took care of us immediately and made it right!
Booth seating is uncomfortable. Too low for the table. Waited for fifteen minutes after being seated. No water. No server. Sat at bar prior to dinner. Took forever to get appetizer. Which was tasty...but took too long.
Ended up leaving and going to another local restaurant. Pretty disappointed. We had been looking forward to a great meal.
May have been because it was Valentine’s Day, but not like they didn’t have reservations and forewarning it would be busy.
Very good experience, would definitely go back.
They have made a change in the area where I used to love to sit.....in the bar - there were soft cushion
seats......now, it is hard - simple chairs and tables. It used to be comfy feeling - the ambiance was what
I like - Now - not so much.
Our waiter was good - but he was the only one and things moved slowly. Also, the entire restaurant was
open - another group came in and they were placed right next to us....>>CRAZY! I was not happy with that.
The food was great! One person in our party said the salmon was the best he ever had.
Don't order Cesar salad if you want traditional Cesar salad. It's nothing like it.
Most salads have an imbalance of extra ingredients and greens, be prepared.
Bison was delicious. French fries are great. Spicy mayo is still too spicy for children.
Green goddess salad is nice but too much dressing.
Creme brulee is not up to standard
Excellent raspberry martini. Very sweet no much booze as martinis normally have but flavor was good
Steak sandwich was awesome, veal saltimbocca and halibut was a hard pass.
They have a very good selection of food and the drink menu is very good. Yes we will return.
Thank you for taking the time to review your recent visit at the Bistro. We are happy to hear you had a great experience. Hope to see you again soon.
Our actual server was very nice but we continue to get push back on food allergies. Seems like there is a chef in the kitchen that refuses to accommodate those that have allergies. The food was just ok overall. Really nice spread but both the pork and prime rib was well overcooked. Asparagus was soggy. Chilled crab and shrimp were fine overall.
Wonderful server! Great food. Nice ambiance. Only caution was that the staff did not take into account my online requests for away from kitchen and near window. Plenty of room in the restaurant, they just put us near the kitchen away from the window. Since the kitchen is open to one of the dining rooms, the bustle and bright white lights detracted from the lovely soft lighting and feel of the room.
The food and the service were both amazing! We were staying at the Boulevard Inn for the weekend so we decided to dine at the bistro, and we were so glad we did. The food is locally sourced and the desserts are all made in house
I would highly recommend it if you are in St. Joe.
The dining area needs refreshed. It’s very outdated and the ceiling looks terrible. They could at least paint the tiles. It definitely does not match the quality of the food or the price tag they charge.
Great place, been there before. Will ho back. Always a good waiter or waitress.
A favorite of ours...
We were supposed to get a 10% discount since we stayed in the hotel, but it was not offered or given to us which is disappointing. We spent a lot of money there for 2 nights and drinks at the bar. Can you reimburse us??
The food was delicious and the service was great! Very nice staff!
Food was very good but if outside be sure to finish eating before dusk cause the bugs (gnats I think) will descend en mass & help finish your dinner & swim in your beverage, quite disgusting, we left :(
My husband and I have loved the Bistro in the past. But not this time. The host barely welcomed us. We waited at least 10 minutes before someone came for drink or food orders. We had to ask for silverware. Never had my water glass refilled. And the food was just ok. Very disappointing. Not the usual Bistro restaurant we've dined at in the past.
One of my dishes was the calamari, which I tend to order everywhere it's on the menu. This was the first time it was served with a lemon type pudding to dip in. That really threw me off and was terrible to say the least. The scallops and New York strip were both very tasty though.
Must be having a fruit fly issue cause we had several eating with us at our table.
