Came here for our engagement anniversary (which we also had at the Bistro) and the staff was amazing and so kind. They wrote a card for us and everyone signed it, they treated us wonderfully. And I know this kind of service is not only for those coming for a special dinner, they are excellent to every guest. The food is wonderful and the ambience is great. Love coming here!

This restaurant is a must if passing through St. Joe. Outstanding cocktails and appetizers. Knowledge and experienced wait staff. The Bistro definitely punches above her weight!

This is a top notch dining experience - with an excellent variety of unique dishes. We had the seafood appetizer: lightly tempura style scallops, shrimp and calamari. Phenomenally and beautifully prepared. Then my husband ordered the filet medallions and I requested the walleye. We split those between us. Large portion sizes and flavorful. We will definitely come back.

Another fantastic dinner for 4 @ The Bistro on the Boulevard! Chef Cheryl is incredible with her menu combinations and quality and flavor of the food! Thank you Chef Cheryl for another great evening celebrating my twin sister's 32nd anniversary! And the added anniversary touches were well received and appreciated! And the desert choices were awesome and delicious!

I’ve had dinner here multiple times on my trips to St. Joseph. All have been pretty good; however, last night was particularly above the previous visits. From being greeted at the door, being ushered to our table, the service and food were exceptional! Kudos to all the staff that were there!

The menu and food preparation is fabulous and varied, the waitstaff is knowledgeable and friendly. It is expensive but worth it! I would recommend it and when weather permits it is pleasant a treat to eat on the balcony overlooking Lake Bluff park and the St. Joseph pier. Last night they were having an issue with an unusual water leak in the ceiling and the noise level was high as they were searching for the source. When it was found the noise distraction went away.

As usual the food did not disappoint us, neither did the service. Very appreciative of the attention given to us: it was our daughter’s birthday: she was greeted by a birthday card signed by all staff members, we were all given a glass of bubbly and she got a slice a flourless chocolate cake topped with a candle. None of these were expected, it was a really nice gesture.

My husband and I dined at the Bistro on Boulevard for the first time last night. It was fabulous! We ordered the bread basket and three delicious baguettes came warm with whipped butter and yummy tomato jam. Our entrees came within a reasonable time, allowing us to relax and enjoy our cocktails. I ordered the walleye and he had the chicken breast sandwich which were both scrumptious. The food was hot and honestly, I think it was the best presentation of walleye I’ve ever enjoyed. We will definitely be back very soon!

We very much enjoyed our dinner. The menu has many unique and delicious options. The gnocchi in my vegetable bowl were delicate, pillowy and delightful. This is great option in the St Joseph area.

Fritto Misto appetizer was amazing along w/ Halibut & Fillet. They brought us an amazing flourless chocolate cake for our Anniversary. It was to die for. Everyone is always so nice there and our waiter went above & beyond.

Good experience overall. Charging $7 for “Bread service” was a bit much. Advertised a “variety” of breads - 3 white baguettes - all the same. Too much for 2 people. Be like every other restaurant and put 1 baguette on the table - free of charge.

The food was great and the service was good. We did have to wait for our food a bit longer than normal. It was not busy, but we did have to ask the waitress about how much longer for our food. I think we waited a good 30 minutes. Other than that, it was great. We celebrated our wedding anniversary and the staff signed and offered their congratulations to us. The chef wrote out "happy anniversary" on the plate that our dessert came on.

We really enjoyed our dinner. We ate on the balcony and watched the beginning of the sunset thru the trees of the park. Afterwards it was only a 50 yd walk to an opening in the trees in the park and could see the sunset over Lake Michigan. Super cool and we intend to do it again.

We decided to book a reservation for the restaurant and realized we wanted to come in earlier. The restaurant was so accommodating. We were able to celebrate our anniversary after a long day at the beach, shopping, snacking, and wandering St. Joseph. For our anniversary, the restaurant staff wrote us a card and everyone signed it. Our hostess was incredible and took such good care of us the entire time. She even brought us the flourless chocolate cake as an anniversary dessert to celebrate. The food was DIVINE. We ordered the cacio e pepe broccoli and the strozapretti pasta. Both dishes were perfect, and our hostess even brought us clean cutlery and two bowls to split our food. We figured there’d be large portions of pasta and we were right. Overall, if you enjoy an intimate, dimly lit, quiet restaurant with incredible food and ambiance, this is the perfect place to dine in. They even have outdoor seating overlooking silver beach!

We are locals and frequent The Bistro often even if only for drinks and a shareable. Having said that last night, we treated some guests to dinner out of the veranda. Everything was absolutely perfect. The food, drinks, service and ambiance. As an extra treat, I had let them know in advance that one of our guest was celebrating the birthday. Not only did they provide a complimentary dessert to share, but also a very lovely birthday card that the entire staff signed. I’ve never seen that ( card )!done before, but it was very classy.. The chef really has it going on and there is something for everyone on the menu. We will continue to return. Ella our server was A + too. kudos !

What a truly incredible dining experience! I’ve never had a less than great experience at Bistro, but hadn’t been in a few years. This one blew me away. I frequent upscale and Michelin restaurants all over, and for a quiet beach town in Michigan this really rivaled some of the better food and flavors I’ve had. I cannot forget to mention that the cocktails were also perfect! Last but not least, our server Ann as well as our sweet busser were simply splendid. We were celebrating a birthday as well and having made our reservation only 10 minutes before arriving we were still given a beautiful card signed by the entire staff… and of course, dessert. What a memorable and thoughtful dinner, and I was be traveling out of my way to come back.
