   This was the perfect place to celebrate our anniversary. My cioppino was delicious. My husband enjoyed his burger. The service was excellent. We even had a special anniversary desert.

   Always a strong choice among Reno casino dining spots. Excellent menu, wine list, service, and small touches, from the bread basket to Himlayan salt on the table, make for a special evening. We enjoyed for our anniversary and were treated to a special dessert. Favorite dishes? The calamari appetizer, steak & frites, Chilean sea bass (one of several house specials). But can't go wrong with any menu item.

   Well appointed restaurant, staff was excellent, we ordered the Halibut special with risotto, which was delicious. Our waitress Christa was great. A tad slow getting that first cocktail was the only issue.

    We had a reservation and we’re seated promptly. The service is really good, the cocktails were really good. Atmosphere is nice. It’s just that our food wasn’t great. It’s expensive. Our sea bass was weak and calamari dish also weak. I think because they were lightly fried. We really liked the Steak House in this hotel better. Both offer excellent service.

    Food is excellent, our server Joe always does a great job and takes care of you, especially if you have food allergies. It is a little noisy in there but it is because everyone seems to be having a good time.

    Food was delicious. Kinda pricey but I guess that is expected. With tip we spent around $160 for 2. That was just basic food, nothing fancy. So if you are going for steak expect to pay more.

    We keep going because they make the best blackened rare prime rib I've ever hjad. Hey, I'm old so I've had a lot of cows worth of prime rib. Every time we go I stop and find Jose (the cook who does the blackening) and let him know I'm there and, then, I stop on the way out to tell him how great it was. Try it - I know you will agree.

    I had the veal picatta and my wife had the filet mignon. Her steak was cooked perfectly and she really enjoyed it. I was concerned that my veal dish might be too big but it was a nice-sized portion that worked perfectly. Our server Joe was great and very attentive. We'll be back!

    Service was not as good as usual. Have to take in to consideration that it was Mother's Day. BUT the restaurant did not seem that busy. In fact we had friends walk in without a reservation and were seated quite quickly. Almost unheard of for Bistro Naps!

    Pork chop was thick but dry (ordered medium). Pan seared scallops, Pasta frutte de mer and veal piccata were excellent. Crab clowder was nice and thick, delicious. Strawberry short cake, was a light white cake with strawberries, wonderful. Service was excellent.

    I was very disappointed last night. Service was terrible. We got there ten minutes early. The line to check in for our table was crazy. There was no staff there to check any body in we stood in line with twelve people in front of us waiting for the staff to come and start checking people in. Finally a girl comes over to help check us in. She tells us we have to go take a seat at the bar. My husband tells her our reservation is at 6:30pm. She tell us Yes I know but we had a large group come just now and We are waiting for a table to open then we can seat you. She then sends us to the bar to wait. I’m not happy our reservation was at 6:30 we got there ten minutes early. We didn’t get seated until 7:00 pm. What’s the purpose of a reservation then. Everything was so chaotic. I book our reservations on Open Table. They asked you any special request. I put It was our 45th Wedding Anniversary could we please be seated at a nice table. We were seated at a booth. We have been celebrating our anniversary at Bistro Napa almost every year with no hiccups. Last night was a  disaster. We will not be coming back. The service is not the same.

    Service was excellent from the host to the waiter to the staff not even tending to our table. Food was better than Hell’s Kitchen. We had the calamari, cheese platter, surf & turf, veal, scallops, pizza, and burger. Every dish was great

    We have eaten here many times over the past few years and always had great food and service, this time however not so great, first the service was really slow and unattended, as far as the food, we ordered “ oysters on the half shell” and mid way thru my wife saw something swimming around in one of the sauces, our waiter was nowhere to be seen so she waved over one of the chef’s he took them away after explaining that it was “ probably from the oysters since they’re raw and still alive” I have NEVER HAD SOMETHING SWIMMING IN THE SAUCE” the bread that they served is generally very good, tonight’s was very stale and hard, assuming it was leftover from the previous night, when it came to the bill after waiting a very long time, the oysters were on the bill we ask to have them removed which they were and the servers response was Oh I Forgot. Absolutely, no recovery.

    We had to wait for our table for 20 minutes. Wait staff was harried. My beef short rib was ice cold as was the potatoes, my wife chicken piccata was extremely salty, my salad was terrible couldn’t eat it , but my granddaughters loved the deserts. Not how imagined spending my 70th birthday. No reason to come back!

    This is my second visit to Bistro Napa, and the second time that the service, food, and atmosphere exceeded my expectations. From the host stand to the table - and the fine food and wines - Bistro Napa is one of the best restaurants in the city.

    Always a pleaser IN the restaurant - any evening & very much so for Special Occasions. The cotton candy is fun but that cake "is to die for" ... if it is not your own birthday being celebrated ask for a slice as well! We'll be back - often. Christine, Jan, AnneMarie and Elaine.
