Bistro Mon Cheri is renowned chef Kimmy Tang’s newest creation. After Michelia in Beverly Hills and 9021PHO’s locations in Thousand Oaks, Glendale, Beverly Hills, Sherman Oaks and West Hollywood, chef Tang is opening a unique East – West Gastronomy restaurant in Pasadena, after traveling throughout Europe and Asia in search of sui generis recipes. Chef Tang’s exclusive approach to the “traditional” world cuisine combined with her unmatched taste resulted into a tasteful mélange. Fresh ingredients, love, passion and health conscience approaches are the main elements of chef Tang’s made from scratch dishes. Intrigued? Come and convince yourself. Delicious, creative Asian fusion food in a quiet, simple setting. Everything we had (pepper beef, garlic eggplant, ground beef wraps) was very tasty and reasonably priced. Service was very attentive. The setting is very simple and basic, and you can bring your own wine (no corkage fee) since the restaurant doesn't have a liquor license.

Great food and service. this is a Pasadena gem. Chef Kimmy was our server and was a terrific hostess to her Asian Fusion venue. Bring your own adult beverages as they have no license. That said a block and a half away was a liquor store that had decent cold Pinot Grigio. Would go again. Our party of 7 had a great time.

The chef is such a lovely, kind, friendly person who will greet you at the door or come by and visit you sometime during the meal. Everything here is fresh and delicious. I’m definitely coming back again soon!

Bistro Mon Cheri is a quiet straightforward place to eat with a chef whose talent is anything but ordinary. She is creative and thoughtful in her preparation and presentation of food. As a bonus, she's right there to talk with you about what you might order or even about planning a special meal designed for your own special occasion and preferences. After our first visit we have returned with friends and on our own. Some meals are leisurely and some are just quick and convenient. Don't expect a fancy setting but definitely expect delicious food.

It was Valentine's Day so there was the now traditional set menu which was very reasonable. The selections were a bit tough for someone who is allergic to shellfish but the chef was very accommodating. The beef appetizer and the crab cakes were the best. The entrees were very good but not as exciting. They ran out of the coconut and the coffee panna cotta desserts but the chocolate was okay. The ladies each received a long-stemmed rose.

this place is a hidden gem -- food is amazing! small local feel with amazing high-end food. Literally could go here every week and never be unhappy with the options. Chef Kimmy will always make changes needed for diet/preference as well. She's amazing and the whole team is so welcoming.

Nothing really special about the food. There was nothing wrong with it, it just seem like Chinese food made with a little extra care. 1 person got the fish - cooked well & had a sauce with a little kick. 1 person got the Lemon Chicken - nothing special. I got the curry chicken (which they said was Vietnamese curry - I don't know why). The fourth person got a "bun" salad, which was pork over noodles over salad - the pork was cooked well. The only interesting thing was the "Chocolicious" appetizer which was fried beef balls with chocolate in the middle & on top of strawberries/cucumber - way better than it sounds
