Dined with two kids. The kids meals were beautiful and were very generously sized. We had the 2 cheese 3 meat mixed board for an appy and it was also much larger than I expected and delicious. The Boston salad large with chicken, again was huge. Could probably do a small for a full meal. Overall was really good, the service was lovely. The cocktails were meh but the wine options were great.

Spent a special day at the stunning Chateau Frontenac restaurant. The service was well-paced, relaxing, thoughtful at a table overlooking the Saint Lawrence River. Thanks for making this a special day from the host, to the waiter. Thank you for a day to remember in a beautiful setting.

The quality of the food was excellent but, my husband's portion was almost ridiculously small. Mine was perfect. Service and ambiance were very nice.

Unfortunately, my husband and I did not have a good experience. Was the ambience great? Yes. Was the view great? Yes. However, our service was horrible. I’m not sure if our waiter was having and “off” night, or what happened, but it was a cascade of disappointment. We are staying at the hotel, and were seated promptly (with reservations). Our waiter forgot about our appetizers (salad and oysters) altogether and when it was mentioned, it was brought out however, by consequence our main dish was left over the heat lamp to dry out. When we received it, it was dry, and not to what we ordered. Our waiter tried to get a new dish out as soon as possible, but unfortunately, it too, was also incorrect. Needless to say, after two rounds of our food being wrong, we did not order dessert, left promptly, and cancelled our reservations for Champlain and the breakfast terrace. Will not be eating at the hotel again.
