About Bistro Laurentien La Coupole
An innovative cuisine using products from local artisans from all Québec regions between the laurentian mixted forest and the south of the province. Dishes are inspired by the old-fashioned cooking of the families who built today’s Québec. Moreover, a selection of 25 wines from Québec now complements our wine list.
Québec’s map is the star of our blackboard, covering the main walls of the restaurant. Around those maps, we identify where our produce come from. A bar & lounge space, perfect for your happy hours with colleagues or friends, awaits you for a little sip and bite! For groups in need of a more private space, whether for meetings or for fun cocktails, we’ve revamped the Salon VIP, our existing private room for 12 people, and we’ve also added a new one, the Salon Cellier. This new private space, alongside our cellar, can welcome 18 seated people or 25 in cocktail style.

Close to the bell Center. Went for supper. Got foie gras asked if it was seared. The waiter said yes. It was in fact a terrine.
Went the next morning for breakfast got eggs Benedict with a side of bacon. Everything was cold!! Bacon was as order of bacon bits. Scrapping a from the pan. I gave the waiter the potatoes and bacon bits and he deducted 3 dollars from my bill. Wow!! If my wife wouldn’t have been there there would have been no tip. Very disappointed!! Salmon and beef tartare were great. Service sucked!!
Excellent experience. We were, unfortunately, rushed because we had to get to a concert at the Bell Center within an hour. The staff accommodated us by taking our order promptly, then getting wine and food to us in record time. Everything was great, and we regretted our tight timeline, as we would have loved to linger. Highly recommend.
MTL à table. Menu intéressant mais 2 choix retournés en cuisine par plusieurs tables. (Nous ne les avons pas choisis) la lotte était délicieuse. L’entrée de truite était correct sans plus. Le tartare de bison, frais et délicieux. Les desserts était savoureux et riches. Les portions sont très généreuses. Ambiance décontractée dans un cadre haut de gamme. Peu de monde pour un samedi. Service impeccable par un serveur attentif et sympathique.
My boyfriend and I were meeting cousins from Australia for the first time, and we chose La Coupole for Saturday brunch. No regrets! Everyone was very happy with the food and the chic ambience, and we had a wonderful conversation.
Special shoutout to managing director Fabien, day manager Peggy, and our server of the day, who took care of our guest (me) with a gastro condition and a long list of intolerances! After speaking with Fabien the day before about something the kitchen might do that could accommodate my needs, I felt very comfortable on the day heading to my special occasion, and Peggy, our server, and the kitchen did not disappoint! It's always wonderful to find a restaurant that understands food and the realities of food intolerances.

Gros bémol par contre sur l'extra de 4$ pour un MINI bolle de salade qui ressemblait à un mélange en sac déjà fait avec de la iceberg et un soupçon de vinaigrette qui ressemblait à de la kraft! Vraiment cher payer et pour ce type de resto je me serais attendu à quelque chose de beaucoup mieux comme salade
Food was good but could have bee better, I took the hamberger with the extra cheese )old chedar) but instead of a slice it was more than a 1/4" thick.. way too big for a hambuger. The poutine was good but as the cheese curd were ice cold they did not melt. Our server was not attentive to us and did not take the time to come see us during the meal to see if we needed something we waited for 10 minutes to get our water glasses refilled.
Many of the luncheon menu entrée selections included mushrooms; my wife is allergic to mushrooms. The chef on duty was able to accommodate for one of the dishes as the mushrooms were in the sauce.
We preferred the former luncheon menu - new chef new menu !!! - different price - dessert and beverage are now «à la carte».
Wine by the glass - limited selection -4 oz serving !!!
We went there to try out their new menu with new culinary team. It was a great experience beyond expected. All dishes are well executed with plenty of flavor. The highlight of the meal is the dessert. We ordered the Apple Tatin Pie and we were so impress by its beautiful presentation. Slices of apple cooked in sirop placed on a puff pastry and baked to perfection then topped with vanilla ice-cream and decorated with crafted strawberries and figs. A must try!!
We have eaten at La Coupole on several occasions as they usually have a special fixed menu that get's you to the Bell Center on time for the hockey game. I was very disappointed this time as I was given a choice of two times, 3:15 and 5:00pm. The 3:15 time was a littkle early for me but I opted for it as the 5pm time would have been too late to get to a 6pm game. After showing up at the restaurnat for our confirmed reservation we were told the kitchen did not open until 4pm, this meant wasting our time waiting around for 45 minutes The reservation was confirmed so I have no idea why this happened but it did put a damper on the whole experience. There were no apologies offered.
