   Delicious food and wonderful service. Ambiance was perfect. Even the owner, Danny, came by to chat for a little. We went back again for breakfast and are going again tonight for dinner to try some more delicious food from the menu.

   Excellent food close to where we stayed right outside Taramindo. Enjoyed our dinner and loved the guitar singer too!

   Regrettably my chicken entree was completely cold, mashed potatoes like glue and totally inedible. My husbands steak was tough & fries cold, sent fries back & they put them into the fryer & brought back to the table vs new fresh fries. We did not find it recommendable and would not return.

   It was our first time in Costa Rica and our tour guide recommended Bistro Langosta for dinner in Tamarindo Beach. We arrived early and selected from the Happy Hour Menu. The portions were plentiful and the cocktails were “2 for1”. The cauliflower was the best we’ve ever tasted and the beef tips and chicken skewers were cooked to perfection. The only negative was the goat cheese and marinara which was absent the goat cheese. Overall it was an excellent meal. We will will definitely return in our next trip.

   We picked this place based on all the 5 star reviews. I’m not sure if it was an off night but our experience overall was unpleasant. When we arrived for our reservation they tried seating us at the bar without even asking if we had a reservation. After finally setting up a table we were seated and our drink and appetizer order was taken. There was a girl (live music) screeching in the corner so loudly that everyone in the restaurant was screaming. 20 minutes later we ordered two salads and we finally had cheesecake. 1 hour and 45 minutes for 3 simple courses, we didn’t even order a main meal. Several parties who arrived after us just ended up leaving due to the disorganization of the place. While the food was good it was not spectacular and was extremely overpriced for what it was. I had high hopes, but alas, it was a very underwhelming evening. This was probably a one off for the restaurant but unfortunately for us it occurred on what was supposed to be a special evening.

   Dear Jamie, thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us albeit a rare bad experience. I know the night you are referring to all too well as I, too, had an issue with volume level of the music - rest assured this is already dealt with. As for your dining experience, it's not how we built our reputation - an off night isn't acceptable nor is it a reason for you not to have a 5 star experience.    An upcharge was added to the already expensive cocktail prices. Most expensive we have encountered in all the 5 times we’ve come to Costa Rica. Not worth it at all. My cosmopolitan wasn’t even that good & it cost me $20 Do not recommend

   Your experience isn't indicative of who we are and we are saddened by it. We will take your feedback to heart and always try to improve. However, I can assure you that there is NEVER an uncharge on anything we service - you must be referring to the Costa Rica mandated IVA (sales tax) and service charge. We wish you a pleasant stay in Costa Rica.
