   I really enjoyed this restaurant. It was not busy on a Friday evening which was puzzling to me. The service was great. The food was delicious. Chef Daniel came by the table to say hello. I really feel like this place is a gem amongst 14th Street restaurants. I hope more people will try it. Or, maybe don't try it so I don't have to wait to have an awesome dinner. Seriously, give this place a try. It is really wonderful.

   We were so glad to find that they had opened up on 14th st! We used to go regularly to their U st location. They have 5-7pm large $10 mussel bowl with frites and can add beer or wine for $5. They have a moderate selection of mussel flavored from Thai curry to apple wood sausage. The rest of their menu is also very authentic French. There is no wait and attentive staff. They have regulars who chill at the bar. Good for families and the pocketbook as well. Only wish there weren't the few mosquitoes that flew near the windows which dined on us too. Would could have moved our table but didn't bother to... Wanted to eat before mussels got cold;)

   If you remember the wonderful, hole-in-the-wall ambiance of the old place, with its warm brick walls, wood floors, old posters, friendly bar, and cheek-by-jowl seating, you will be disappointed at the new location. I understand that they don't control the decor of the new location because it is a "shared" restaurant. But it now looks and feels cold and sterile; gray stone floors, gray walls & ceiling, plate glass front, and dim down-lighting. Very "14th Street". The food and service, while good, will have to get a whole lot better than it is to keep diners coming back.
