The food is always delicious, and we go back again and again for the Crepes Suzette. Not about nouveau cuisine, but very good, authentic French classics with wonderful ingredients. One of a kind. Very busy, and the service is hit or miss. We usually have a wonderful experience and are able to chat with the service more, but it was Saturday the restaurant was very busy this time and our waiter seemed rushed and like he was having a hard time keeping up with timing. Maybe they need to have more staff on busy nights. Will always go back <3
Took my daughter for an early birthday dinner before she headed back to school. We were able to get a same day reservation, which they called to confirm. We arrived early, and were seated immediately. They had incredible wine and cocktail choices, and brought delicious bread quickly to the table. We started with the foie gras, and bone marrow (which we’d never had). The foie was like silk, and the bone marrow was beyond words. We had the sole, and rabbit as our main course, and a side of spinach to share. My sole was cooked perfectly, and the sauce was incredible. The rabbit (certified jerks, not sweet bunnies) was incredible. I hesitantly had a taste, and was converted on the spot. It was meaty, tender, and delicious. I cannot recommend the spinach enough, it may have been my favorite part of the meal. For dessert we had the crepe and lemon meringue pie. Both were incredible, and worth saving room for. We ended up taking half of our appetizer and desserts, and most of our main course home with us. The portions are deceiving as everything was very filling and rich. Everything arrived quickly, hot, and with a smile. Our waiter was very attentive, as were the rest of the staff. The bistro was very cozy and warm, and made us feel welcome. This little French gem is as good or better than area restaurants costing 2 or 3 times as much. I will definetly be back as often as possible..
every one said get the tomato soup! It was amazing. Everyone said get two appetizers and 1 entre. We did not listen. We got two apps, soup and deviled eggs with truffle oil. They were perfect. Then we ordered the cassoulet and the rack of lamb. Too full for the banana cream pie with rum raisin ice cream. Damn. Maybe next time! We rolled right out of the restaurant! One list was very reasonable too!
The food was amazing as always and our Server Brian was fantastic. Knowledgeable and responsive, interactive but let us have our space too. We had the torchon, pigs feet, rabbit pate, tomato soup, lionaise salad and lambs tongue salad, and finished with banana cream pie with rum raisin ice cream. All of our favorite things. As always, well done Jeanty! 👏👏👏👏
Our waiter Shaun was very attentive and knowledgable. He made great recommendations. The entire staff was friendly and service oriented. The food was suburb! Tomato soup outstanding, bet salad lucious, Sole with mashed potato wonderfully light and flavorful, and pear creme brouilette yummy. It was an amazing dinner experience thatnk you!
The food and drinks were exceptional. We had the best sit in the house (right next to the fireplace) and each person we interacted with was friendly and inviting. Because everything sounded so good I went out of my comfort zone and ordered something I wouldn't normally try and I am so glad I did. I had the Rabbit and it was prepared two ways - with a great presentation. The Wine list is not overly priced and had great local options. I can't wait to go back. - If you like Bone Marrow they had the best - ask for the Jus on the side - it took away from the flavoring of the bone marrow.
Never disappoints. The Starter, Appetizer and Entrée Selection are varied and abundant.
Had the Fried Pigs feet for an appetizer. Not what you think and well executed, like a mini pulled pork appetizer, no hoofs! Serve with a mustard sauce. Good start. Had the green bean salad with warm goat cheese. Generous amount of cheese with a good glass of wine, the best. Wife had the beet salad also a good proportion. Had the Pulled pork entrée with reduction sauce. Cooked and presented nicely, although a bit salty. Must have been from the brining operation. Wife had the scallop special that was cooked to perfection; scallops are fussy to get right. Excellent. All in all, a fantastic meal. Sean, the waiter was the best. His timing on everything was impeccable.
Bistro Jeanty has been one of my favorite restaurants for over 10 years and every time I go there I enjoy it fully. My recent visit with a friend included our favorite appetizer of fried smelt with spicy aoli and a new appetizer pigs feet with a lovely dipping sauce. The bib lettuce salad with perfectly flavored mustard vinagrette was as tasty as always. My main course of diver scallops done perfectly with bacon mashed potatoes was tender, succulent and full of flavor. My friends filet mignon was a bit too "medium" and not enough "rare" for her. My classic dessert of Crepes Suzette reminded me of many French Bistro lunches or dinners in France. Service is knowledgeable, prompt and informative but not intrusive. If you like a French Bistro experience in the Napa Valley area, you cannot do better than Bistro Jeanty!
Once again we had a superb meal Bistro Jeanty. We were seated in the back room. Very cozy and great atmosphere. We started with 1/2 bottle of champaign, rabbit casserole and duck pate. Both were excellent. I had the muscles dish...wow. What an experience. The. muscles were plump, juicy and delicious. This dish alone is worth the trip. Highly recommend, it beats flying to France or Belgium..
Another great dinner at Bistro Jeanty! I had beef bourgnione and my husband had the beef stew. The beef was so tender, lots of it and very flavorful sauces! Friends had tomatoe soup and we had onion soup! Both were outstanding. We were too full for dessert! Great service too! We will be back soon!
