The most authentic french cuisine in Napa Valley. Although the menu never changes, the food is consistently very good. Been there many times and this restaurant never disappoints.
During our visit to Yountville, we enjoyed an amazing dinner at Bistro Jeanty. We were well taken care of by our waiter and the food was spectacular. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting the area.
Kudos to the culinary team for great tasting food! Thumbs up for the Escargots! Cocktails were just ok. The hostess and the lady who served our main course were not the friendliest, but a big thank you to the rest of the wait staff especially our waiter (Sean?) for an excellent service! The rest of the team was able to pull it off. It might take some time for us to return as there are friendlier restaurants in Yountville with good food, but I’d definitely recommend to others.
Our server did not properly greet us. He started to pour water before we even sat down. He just put the little black board with today’s special on our table and walked away and never explain anything We needed to keep flagging our server down for him to come to our table to take our food order and ask for service.
The food was good but the dining experience wasn’t that pleasant. Other staff were nice though.
As always, the food at Bistro Jeanty was wonderful. Imaginative French bistro food beautifully prepared. At this visit, the service was particularly special because my husband became faint during dinner (too much wine tasting, too little water during the day), and the entire staff were just wonderful: helping him to deal with it, calling an EMT to make sure nothing was seriously wrong, moving furniture so he could like down on the floor until he got his bearings. They really went over and above and making us feel cared for when they might have made us feel that we were causing a problem.
Frequent this restaurant. A must when I am in Napa! Authentic!!
Wonderful menu featuring many of France's greatest gastronomic hits! Attentive and friendly staff, whimsical decor and surprisingly generously sized portions.
Highly recommended as authentic French bistro dining. Service is very good. Food is excellent. Would not hesitate going back to keep working through the menu. Biggest disappointment was my martini. But, don't let that stop you...
Exceptional onion soup!
Bistro Jeanty was as close to Paris as you can get in California. The menu had all sorts of treats not seen in most places. I went for the smelts. The steak/frits was as it's supposed to be. Tender beef cooked rare. My wife went for the Foie Gras and the trout. Again, just right. The menu along with the specials was extensive. If I lived closer, I'd be regular. The wine list is long and pricey. The noise level was energetic. The service was professional and friendly. Despite a full house, our OpenTable table was ready when we arrived. I look forward to our next visit.
It is always a great evening at Bistro Jeanty! Great ambiance, great service and great food!
Bistro Jeanty- still as amazing as always. We drove up to Bistro Jeanty for a Sunday lunch. Hadn't been there in years but wanted some amazing French Bistro food- and it didn't disappoint at all. From the great starters to the main courses we ordered(petrale sole, beef bourguignon, steak frites) all were wonderful - just save room for the lemon tart!
We have eaten at Bistro Jeanty since the late 1980s. We always loved it. The cassoulet, the butter lettuce salad, the potatoes gratin... always superb!
Not this time. Our salads were limp and the dressings were vapid. The potatoes gratin seemed like no cream was used. The fish smelled fishy. The steak tartare was OK, but the capers were tasteless (!). And the cassoulet was a mere shadow of the former. Very sad ending to our Bistro Jeanty visits.
And the wine list is way too pricy (but it always was)
Very nice lunch. Wait staff - Michael was excellent.
Bistro Jeanty actually was my favorite restaurant in Yountville. The service was perfect, the food was good. The place was happening, drunk loud people, maybe a little too loud that we’re having a good time.
Party of six. Service FANTASTIC! Food is very very good. Pricey but good.
Incredible experience and delicious food.
Same wonderful menu for last 20 years. Only the prices have changed. Deafening noise level in the bar; heated outdoor patio a better choice, even in February. Expert professional service. Swallowed hard but paid $60 corkage for 2 bottles of wine we brought specially for the birthday boy in our party. He loved it, and that’s what made it worthwhile.
We always enjoy a relaxing, romantic and delicious meal. It is our favorite restaurant.
