                                                                                                We spent a few days in Napa Valley eating ourselves silly, and the dinner at Bistro Jeanty was our favorite overall. Food was excellent, including my main course, the beef filet with creamy mushroom sauce. We had great help from the waitstaff and sommelier. If you enjoy a light, refreshing cocktail, try la vie en rose, with vodka and grapefruit/lemon juice. Lovely!

                                                                                                First time here. The tomato soup was recommended highly by our son. It was everything he said and more. So delicious. Left room for the scrumptious rice pudding dessert. They weren't serving the cherries they had on their menu instead they served it with walnuts. We added the special cherries, vanilla gelato. Oh my god, we were in heaven. If you haven't tried it, GO.

                                                                                                We enjoyed the setting, with white tablecloths, French decor, and good service. The food was not good. We have been coming to Bistro Jeanty for 18 years, and although the food was wonderful many years ago, the last few years it has not been as good. Yesterday, it was really dismal. We ordered 6 items plus wine, and only the dessert was very good. My lightly smoked trout was okay, but it was served in an enormous puddle of very tart dressing. It was supposed to come with potatoes, but I only had two slices off a marble sized potato. The dish was garnished with frisée. The pool of dressing was so strong and tart, I could not eat it. I took it home. At home, I can dry it out and cook my own potatoes to go with it. My husband's meat in his braised beef was very poor quality. We can remember when the food was so good at Bistro Jeanty. We keep hoping the food will improve, but yesterday might very well have been our last visit.

We especially love their appetizers selection and we would order 5~7 appetizers for table of 2. To me, their entrée is "okay- good" depends on the day. Cocktail is very good as well with friendly & attentive waiter.

                                                                                                Fabulous as always! All of the entrees we ordered were perfectly prepared and delicious. Do not miss the bread pudding with cherries for dessert. Our entire table of six inhaled it.

                                                                                                Noise level "energetic" was given because, unfortunately, two tables by us had noisy children; one with a baby that would scream, and another table with a young toddler that would get noisy and rambunctious. Our Server was friendly (most times we get arrogant Servers & not friendly). Also, the lady up front that took us to our table was not overly friendly (maybe typically French without a friendly greating or smile). We loved the French food. The Entrecote Frites with Bernaise sauce was delicious as always. The desserts were yummy !!
