Bistro Jeanty was wonderful. I loved my French 75, the tomato soup in puff pastry, the green beans, and the scalloped potatoes. My filet was a little chewy and the peppercorn crust was quite thick. Overall, though, we enjoyed the dinner.

We had not gone to Bistro Jeanty in quite some time. Decided it was time to visit again because in the past we had good experiences. It was a disappointment! Seating in the makeshift covered patio was loud and devoid of atmosphere. Service was fast but amateurish by a sloppy female server just going through the motions. The gentleman that brought the food (in civilian clothes; manager?) had to ask who had what and then served me before serving my wife. Food was just okay. Over priced and so was the wine by the glass. They have lost a step or two. Might give them another chance in the near future. But in the meantime, there are many establishments in the valley with superior value. Too bad.

Valentines Dinner.

We ordered Smoked Salmon with toasted bread. Very good

My salad was beet salad with feta. Good I would of liked to have seen and tasted more feta.
I ordered the Lobster Thermador. It was not what I expected. A Spiny Lobster was used for this preparation. There was very little lobster meat. Although tasty, it would have been better with a traditional lobster.

I’ve had this several times in the past and it was delicious with the proper type of lobster at a different restaurant.

My husband ate a salad lyonnaise with a poached egg and lardons. Filet steak Aunt aupoivre with black pepper and mushroom sauce.

Tomota soup with puff pastry was amazing. Beef stew was extremely moist and delicious. Some of the best French food that i have had outside of France. Highly recommended if you are visiting Napa. Dont miss it. Truly special.

Great (if pricey) food. Server was nice but a bit too pushy — we needed more time and he kept coming back every few minutes to ask if we were ready.

The mussels never disappoint and were especially delicious this time. Along with the fries and rosė from Provence, I was transported to the south of France on a rainy, winter evening. The rum bread pudding was sublime. Service was perfect with the waiter always being there when needed and never when not, plus remembering he had waited on me previously and welcoming me back. I can't wait to return.

The food was Disappointing.

Sole was rather tasteless. I had to salt it profusely which I would not expect to do in a French restaurant of your quality.

Portobello Bourguignon was so overloaded with pearl onions that despite eating only a few (leaving at least 10) of them, the diner had gastric distress all afternoon.

The Rice Pudding was bland and unimaginative except for the four bites that included a brandied cherry.

On the other hand the beet salad was excellent.

The waitress was knowledgeable and very competent.

If you know what real French food is I guarantee you won't be disappointed. Every dish was wonderful! I enjoyed the tastiest lemon meringue tart I have ever had. I also had the French 75 champagne cocktail - strongly suggest as well. We will definitely be going back to Bistro Jeanty in the near future!

Been hearing about Bistro Jeanty for years and wanting to go. Just never worked out with our schedule. Did not disappoint. Amazing dinner and service! The boeuf bourguignon was the best I’d ever had! Cream de tomate en croute, Camembert au four, coq au vin all amazing! We added the noodles and loved it! Reservations at 6 and it was not too loud. Definitely got louder as restaurant filled up, but it was festive and you could still talk. GO!

An excellent French Dinner for our anniversary. An excellent value and great ambiance by the fireplace. I highly recommend the tomato soap with puff pastry, along with many other French classics (the Filet, Augratin potatoes). I tried the rabbit entree, it was nice. However, thinking about how rabbits are social pets, some enjoyment was lost from the entree. Excellent! I highly recommend going to dinner at Bistro Jeanty.

Overated and over priced, I’ve heard about this place for years growing up in Napa. It appears, as this was my first time, this place has slipped a bit over the years. We ordered the pate maison to start and it was great although we had to ask us for more then 3 pieces of tiny bread of which we were charged for, tiny tiny pieces of bread mind you. The Brussels sprouts and duck were next, my Fiancé is a chef so we sent the Brussels sprouts back, they were soggy in the middle, I’ve had better at Gott’s. We also sent back the duck as it was far to dry and over cooked. We then decided on the coq au vin which was decent but had too little chicken in it. We ended it with the bread pudding which had stale bread in it and was not that hot, obviously it had been made a while ago and they just popped it in the oven and served it. I brought a very nice bottle of Cab from my winery and even let our server try some, as I normally do. Too bad he failed to pour us the wine for the rest of the dinner so I did. Severely disappointed but I still tipped him over 20% and they were kind enough to waive the corkage but I won’t be back.

An incredible meal in a lovely setting. This is an old favorite for a reason. Everything is done exceptionally well. The tomato soup is not to be missed. Rich tomato flavor and silky texture with the flaky puff pastry crust is delicious. The frisée salad takes it to a new level. Not a bite was left. We had quenelles and the sauce over the cloud-like lightness of the quenelles was over the top. My husband had rabbit with truffle pasta and loved it. My fish in a butter cream sauce was perfection. Service was great. Nice wine list. We had no room for dessert, but they were tempting. Great dining choice.
