One of our favorite places in Napa Valley. When in the area we always plan a lunch here.
Bistro Jeanty has been and is one of the most authentic examples of country French cuisine -- anywhere. It is French food prepared beautifully and served with joy and professionalism. Time and time again we have so enjoyed Bistro Jeanty.
If you visit the Napa Valley, put Bistro Jesanty on your "must dine" list!!
Birthday lunch with a wonderful friend ❤️
Couldn’t have been better and could go back tomorrow.
We had an amazing meal and wonderful experience. This was our first, definitely not our last visit.
Great lunch on a rainy day with girlfriends. Half bottle list is superb! We will be back!
Nothing but the best
Always excellent food and service. I dream about meals there!
Sat and greeted promptly, service was great, food was great. I come here every year for my birthday. Love it.
Always love this restaurant! Food, staff and atmosphere are wonderful. Must try their specialty cocktails too.
Always great food. We always get the tomato soup, and rabbit dish.
Everyone was fabulous and everything was delicious!
The French country offerings are always excellent. The green bean salad with warm goat cheese was delicious, and the sole meunière is consistently one of the best entrees. Service was professional and efficient. We will return.
We always recommend this restaurant to our friends who are visiting wine country!
We have special memories at Bistro Jeanty!!
Genuine French fare...very good food based on great ingredients and classic finishes.
In our instance, we found the service a little weak:
-staff congregated by the wait station often facing away from guests
-staff chatter, though not audible to us, was a distraction which impacted service attentiveness
-staff was pleasant and smiling and well trained on selling the specials
-several misses on small items (plates not replenished, self serve wine service, want me to bring you a box versus versus offer to box up)
Just expected more for $125 per person...
We loved this place! Excellent service and overall experience. We highly recommend the rabbit! Best meal we’ve ever had!
Enjoyed a return trip for 22nd anniversary! Enjoyed our server’s recommendations!
We’ve always enjoyed Bistro Jeanty, but our recent dining experience there was exceptional. Our server Sean was engaging, helpful, and fun while providing top-notch service. He made sure everything was perfect for us by taking exquisite care of our wine, describing various items on the menu, timing the service just right, and making sure we were enjoying every aspect of our meal. The food was fabulous, and we enjoyed every single bite. Thank you to the chefs, Sean, and all the staff. An A++ rave review from us.
Reasonably priced authentic French Cuisine. Great location, cozy atmosphere and great service.
We have been to Bistro Jeanty on many occasions. The food has always been wonderful. This last visit we were disappointed in the quality of the Steak Frite. The Steak was almost inedible fat! For the price of the menu item, the protein should contain meat. I would also suggest that the restaurant have table hooks for handbags. We have designer handbags which never go on the floor and cannot be hooked on back of chair. I place by bag on an empty chair and was scolded for taking the chair......
Always consistent, authentically French and excellent service!
Terrific dinner and outstanding, professional service. Busy on an otherwise quiet Wednesday night in January . . . tells you somerhing!
One of our favorite places in Napa Valley!
Are you in need of a quick trip to France? Bistro Jeanty may be just the ticket. The sweet dining room and bar will remind you of your favorite place in the French countryside. And the food! It's very authentic and delicious. We had foie gras to start with a glass of rose bubbly. Then cassoulet for me and blanquette de lapin (rabbit) for monsieur. Each was outstanding. We were sure we were in France! Crepes Suzette for dessert with some dessert wine completed out anniversary meal. What a treat!
Service was superb and food excellent! One of my favorite places in YV to go! My mom was visiting from Portland Maine so wanted to go for lunch to have the fabulous tomato soup!
We try to visit Bistro Jeanty two or three times a year when we're in the area. Dependably outstanding each time. The rabbit is unbelievable, but we try to branch out and have always been pleased.
This was our 40th anniversary & we asked a couple to join us. It had been awhile since we’ve been but remembered it fondly. The tomato soup in puff pastry was as wonderful as I’d remembered. Other choices were escargot, deviled eggs & smoked salmon. Everyone was happy with their choices. Husband had the veal chop & I had scallops, excellent. The other two both had sole, excellent. I just had enough room for the chocolate brûlée & husband had his favorite: vanilla ice cream with chocolate sauce. The only miss on the server was forgetting husband’s tea. Otherwise it was wonderful.
Rundown inside - needs updating. Service was fair & waiter tried to push most expensive items.
The service was fantastic, the food was very good but the tables are a little too close for comfort and the parking is nearly non existent. Overall it is a good place and may return if in the area.
Our server was so amazing ,5 stars !! Our table and our food were also perfect !!
It was a great night !
Great food, best veal chop that I have ever eaten.
We wanted a more low-key restaurant that had amazing food and found it at Bistro Jeanty. They’re known for their tomato soup but the French Onion was fantastic as well. Everything we had was fabulous and I’d highly recommend it. The service was also unpretentious and our waiter was so helpful. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience.
Exceptional French cuisine. Happy hour was awesome. Between my husband and I, we each splurged on a dozen raw oysters then topped it with some buttery bone marrow, two each. Crispy pig feet was not what excepted but it definitely had substantial amount of meat. We got the special meals of the day. Veal chop was exceptionally tender and my scallops were cooked perfectly. We ended the evening with rum raisin pudding, which was generously flavored with rum. A wonderful get away meal in Napa. We will definitely make a stop to Bistro Jeanty whenever we make a visit to Napa.
We really enjoyed our last dinner in Yountville at Jeanty. The service was great, meal portions huge and the cocktails tasty. I'd recommend making a booking as it was full all night. Lovely meal, lovely night!
La comida deliciosa, top la sopa de tomate, los dumplings pike con langosta
Fantastic as usual. Food and services were outstanding.
Roger is the best server in the world! Plus your food is always so amazing. And John at the bar is such a wonderful host and talented bar tender. We just love coming there for special events and a regular simple evening. You are a part of our life!
We've dined at Bistro Jeanty several times and this was the most disappointing. Food was good and came out in a timely manner. Restaurant was slammed and very energetic. Our server was very knowledgeable but needed to be hailed down multiple times. $35 corkage, way too high, and we had to ask for the bottle to be opened two times and never once did he or anyone else stop to pour us any wine (I guess the $35 is for the glasses only...................). Many Napa Valley restaurants do not charge corkage for local wines or locals, they should get on board. Not sure when we'll return.
Bistro Jeanty is authentically French! I read that the owner/chef is from France. The food and decor were certainly French! When I made the reservations for 8:30, I figured we'd be one of the last group of diners for the evening. The diners just kept coming! The place is casually French - "bistro" - but it was fine to dress up, which many customers did. After all, the restaurant is in Yountville, the swanky area of Napa Valley. The food and service were outstanding! Among our plates were deviled eggs with truffles, sole in a caper sauce, escargot, mussels, and beef bourguignon. There were many tempting dishes on the menu. Come hungry! If you BYOB, bring an expensive bottle of wine to justify the $25 corkage fee. Order from their wine list, and the corkage fee is waived. Food prices are reasonable, especially given the quality and quantity of food. If I lived in Napa, I'd dine at Bistro Jeanty at least once a month. Exceptional and unique restaurant!
Absolutely the BEST restaurant that restaurant that we’ve experienced in a long time.
