The food was excellent. I had the rabbit/risotto special and it was amazing. Prices were reasonable for the quality of food.
I have been to Bistro Jeanty many times over the years and it always blows it out of the water. Amazing food, great service, and I can’t wait to go back. Once again I’m amazed!!!
Fabulous French cuisine. Highly recommend the bone marrow to start!
Bistro Jeanty came well recommended but it did not live up to our expectations. The place is cute and the service attentive and polite, but the food disappointed. We shared a rabbit paté that was dry and pretty tasteless, although nicely service with cornichon and good bread and butter, which helped, as did the pot of dijon on the table. My husband has mussels steamed in red wine--the strong thyme-infused red wine did not pair well with the delicate sweetness of mussels, and was not pleasant to drink on its own. I had coq au vin that was overcooked, and reheated to such nuclear levels that even after 20 minutes on the table it was too hot to eat. The vegetable were so dark and overcooked, they were indistinguishable from each other. Was that a carrot or a mushroom? Don't know! The sauce was glossy and phony looking, with no real character.
Good food. Feels like a French bistro
A little slice of France. Always a great visit. A small suggestion - furniture could use updating. We would still visit regardless.
We enjoy Bistro Jeanty as a destination every time we are in the Bay Area. Love to sit on the covered porch enjoying the fresh air. The service was excellent, attentive by Justin and his team. Started with Rabbit Rilettes and Smelt. both large servings and had to take some home. The special of the day was Trenne Pasta with Rabbit and Morale Mushrooms. Wow! As well as a serving of lettuce salad. Capped it off with espresso and Crepes Suzette...wow the orange sauce is Devine.. Make reservations and try to find parking in their small lot.
Always my go to spot for Napa Valley. Great food, great service. Their food always hits the mark and I always order more than I should, but I can never make up my mind!
Amazing food and atmosphere. Will go back next year. Highly recommended
Lovely bistro lunch on the patio. Perfectly cooked food, though portions a bit too big
The entry portions were ample, beautifully plated and well balanced. All aspects of the meal were wonderful. Our server gave us great advice. I loved the small restaurant ambiance - very cozy and casual. It was a nice venue where we celebrated 2 birthdays.
I have been a Bistro Jeany customer since it opened and it consistently good. Attentive service. Great food. Lovely restaurant to dine in. 5 stars!
Always a pleasure. I had the sole and the tomato soup. We shared a Sauvignon Blanc.
Always great food and service! Friendly and informed staff.
My daughter and I came back - it’s a must before we leave Napa! The best escargot and mussels in town!!Guaranteed!! I have been coming here since 2013!!
We planned to eat at Bistro Jeanty on a friends recommendation and we were not disappointed. We started with the tomato soup and truffle deviled eggs. Both were fabulous. Because we wanted to leave room for dessert, we split an entre of Beef stew. Best and most tender I’ve ever had. Finally , for dessert we had the lemon tart with candied orange sauce . A great choice. The only thing we would have changed was the wine we ordered. We chose the house wine because it was a great deal by the bottle. It was fairly thin and with the great wine list they have I would have chosen differently. In fairness, our waiter, Scott, who was wonderful told us it was just ok. Should have listened. We will return to Bistro Jeanty every time we visit.
Classic french cuisine. Love the chocolate creme brulee.
Fantastic lunch. Great service. We were all very happy!
Fabulous food. Celebrating a birthday. Thank you.
Foods and service - superb!! We came for coq au vin and buttered noodles - delicious!! Pork shoulder is very, very good!!
Is it just me or has the service taken a nose dive?
This was the second time in a row that the service has been lackluster. Our waiter put the specials board down and left. He never described the specials, was uninterested in our table as well as the one next to us, and even the servers seemed bothered that we asked for more bread to the table.
Even though the food was great, it was how we were treated that really put a damper on the evening.
We were there to celebrate our daughter's 12th birthday. We weren't checked on, the server came by only to clear our table, and to top things off, the waiter returned with a candle in a desert that we purchased, put the dish down, lit the candle, put the check in front of me and left without even saying happy birthday.
Note to the front of the house, please take notice. I can't say that we will be rushing back to visit anytime soon. And this isn't a slam of the restaurant. We're still fans and hope that the service issues are at the very least investigated. Thanks!
One of our favorite places...wonderful food and wonderful service! Just a little loud and quite tight for space, but we love it!
We showed up at Bistro Jeanty due to service at another establishment. We knew little about it other then it was recommended. We were thrilled by the food and overall experience. We modified our plans over the next few days to make sure we were able to eat at Bistro Jeanty again. The tomato soup is delicious! All items were great. Highly highly recommend Bistro (and we are tough judges on food).
Fantastic anniversary lunch. Best seats by the fireplace were provided. Delicious meals & drinks. Gracias!
Fabulous restaurant! A very warm ambiance with exceptional entrees . The chocolate creme brûlée was delicious!!
Many local residents raved about Bistro Jeanty so my friend and I decided to try it. We were very impressed with the food and service. The Steak Tartare and the special Scallops were beyond our expectations! Thank you for a fabulous meal.
The food was delicious and the menu was varied. Lots of interesting specials. Drinks and wine were wonderful. A real treat.
Delightful luncheon on a cold and rainy day. The tomato soup with puff pasty to start, green bean/goat cheese salad, and scallops in orange sauce third. Delicious perfection. Some sparkling wine, a delightful and charming waiter, and citron meringue tart to finish. What could be better? This: be seated in the backroom with fireplace in the background. So happy I'm a local and Bistro Jeanty is only a short drive away.
Celebrating a marathon finish
If you’re a foodie without dietary restrictions, you’ll love this place. They had many exotic dishes that included rabbit, tripe and pigs feet. They totally accommodated my gluten and dairy intolerance and cooked me a delicious dish of fillet of sole over carrots and peas and it was wonderful. I had the gem lettuce salad as an appetizer. No room for dessert. Waiter couldn’t have been nicer. There wasn’t a lot I could eat, but what I had was excellent and healthy. My husband had pugs feet, lyonnaise salad and the beef bourginione and gave it a B+.
Highly recommend the tomato soup- very flavorful and unique. The rabbit was cooked perfectly and the pasta with peas was amazing. Will be back!
My elderly father in law, my wife and I went for a 3 pm Saturday late lunch. We’ve been to Bistro Jeanty many times and were really looking forward to this.
We started wonderfully. My father in law had the pike quenelles, my wife the deviled eggs and the tomato soup with puff pastry for me. They were all quite good, as they usually are.
My wife had the Boeuf Bourguignon as entree, excellent as always. (We constantly wonder, “How do they get the beef so dark and succulent?” We’ve tried many times at home and while our results are always good, they never reach this Platonic ideal.) My father in law and I had the sole meunière, it was the weak link in our meals. The sole was cooked perfectly, not overdone and with a nice crust and lemon caper beurre blanc. The issue was that the sole itself had none of the usual sweetness, in fact lacking in flavor almost completely. We know Petrale is very delicate, but this fish was just bland. Adding a little bit of salt helped, but not that much. It was a disappointing dish.
The prunes Armagnac, the chocolate creme brûlée and the salt caramel chocolate mousse were very good. The illy espresso s nice finish to the meal.
We will always come back to Bistro Jeanty, this is the first disappointing meal I can ever remember.
First time there, the service was amazing and food was soooo good!
Highly anticipated dinner, I was really looking forward to dine at Jeanty, I think it was more about quantity vs quality. I wish they gave you a lot less food but a more delicious food. the presentation was so so , the quality of food was just not good.
Food and service was wonderful. Also a great wine selection.
Always been my Favorite for romance and celebration
Yountville is constantly changing, but thank god Bistro Jeanty is so reliable. A classic, serving excellent bistro cuisine. You can always rely on Bistro Jeanty for a great meal and experience!
As always a brilliant meal from first to last. The truffle deviled eggs to die for. Sheer perfection.
Nice place, pleasant staff. Interesting menu.
We enjoyed an excellent evening at Bistro Jeanty. The food was outstanding, even better than we anticipated! Our server, Sarah, was a delight.
