Chef Arie, inspired by his Cypriot heritage, formal training at Le Cordon Bleu in Paris and his years working under Two Star Michelin Chef Philippe Da Silva in Provence, presents cuisine reflective of this coastal style. Longtime customers can still indulge in his classic dishes such as escargot, striped bass with champagne truffle sauce and his own dry aged steaks. Of course Chef Arie’s menu will include many mouthwatering vegan and vegetarian dishes driven by altering his favorite recipes for his vegetarian wife.
Amazingly creative food in a great atmosphere. Highly recommended for interesting foodies.
We were served overcooked duck confit and too much pepper in the cacio Pepe. It almost seemed to be done purposely. A $200.00 bill for poor at best food.
Enjoyed everything about the restaurant. I had called to inquire about GF dessert options as it was our daughters bday and she can’t have gluten. Hostess & staff were extremely accommodating. Food was delicious and everyone cleaned their plate. Loved that they had Stoli Elite for martinis. Special soft shell crabs were cooked perfectly. Definitely recommend
Once again a wonderful dinner. They were very accommodating 2 extra people in our party(even though they cancelled last minute-so sorry). Food was delicious and great service. Thank you!
Tough to imagine a better place to spend a Saturday night on the South Fork. Started with a warm welcome from hostess Liz and a spicy margarita at the bar. Grilled octopus was perfect - crispy and tender, and soft shell crabs were best I had all summer. Finished with the homemade mint iced cream. Wow. Just wow.
Food was delicious as usual! Thank you Liz and Chef Arie!
Consistently excellent food and service in a relaxing environment
This is quite the special spot in the Hamptons.
Continues to deliver an outstanding creative dining experience.
Chef Arie and Liz are experienced seasoned restauranteurs,
Always exit feeling contentment.
The best menu, food and service. Chef and his wife are so friendly. The restaurant is beautiful. I love that I can reserve seats at the bar.
As good as it gets
Not to be missed
Really good food, very nice ambiance and chef and wife are really nice!
We enjoyed this place so much!
Amazing flavors. Great service. Perfect for date night.
Best restaurant in Southampton. We have dined at Bistro Ete several times nd the food and service are always excellent. The staff is warm and engaging and the room charming. The specials are interesting and seasonal and there is a great wine selection.
Amazing - best meal we've had in a while, especially out east in the Hamptons area. Entire staff was so friendly and professional. The entire dinner was an experience in and of itself, starting from the large fruit-infused ice cubes for your water, down to the overall interior and exterior aesthetic of the restaurant ie.) dried orange peel, lavender & other herbs hanging from the ceiling, cozy nooks as table settings (very *hygge*), and adorable hanging lights outside the restaurant which made for a great post-dinner ~photoshoot~ with friends. Keep up the great work, and can't wait to be back!
If you want a fabulous dining experience the go to Bistro Ete.
Outstanding all around
Terrific preparation and presentation
This is a family owned restaurant and they care and deliver satisfaction
Jonathan was great. Very attentive and apologetic when our order was lost. One of our favorite restaurants. ALWAYS surpasses expectations
Arie and Liz run the perfect Hamptons restaurant. Michelin star quality food served in a comfortable cozy venue that feels like home. This visit we tried the spicy margarita, the escargot, and the pappardelle - like hitting Oaxaca, Paris and Rome without leaving the south fork.
Homemade mint chocolate chip ice cream (freshest mint I’ve ever had) was stupid good. Perfect finish to close a perfect meal.
Fabulous food and service
The place to be!
I would like to say that Ete was a bad experience so I do not have to hear that only 5:30 and 9 are available, but that would be a Big LIE!
There are so few establishments left that strive for quality with food, service and experience. This is the only restaurant that would NEVER attempt to remove a dinner plate until EVERYONE has finished eating.
The food is exceptional and always prepared with care. The chef gives his all to give you fresh food and cocktails/wine to compliment the meal. The staff is a family dedicated to bringing you Ari's vision. Thank you
The menu is different than the usual Hamptons fare. Very tasty. Everyone in my party thoroughly enjoyed their meal.
I’m reluctant to be too enthusiastic because it’s difficult enough to get a table but Ete is IMHO the best restaurant and certainly the best value in the Hamptons.
One finest establishments I have ever eaten. Ranks above Manhattans top eateries. Bravo Chef Pablo!!!!
We recommend Bistro Ete without hesitation. We love the small plate options. Nice Mediterranean selections (Grilled Octopus, Ceviche in a Half-Coconut and Grilled Brussels Sprouts were all apepaling small plates and the Crispy Soft-Shelled Crab and Sea Scallops Main s were excellent. We loved the Warm Chocolate Cookie with Brandy-Black Rasberry-Chocolate Sauce and Vanilla Ice Cream (with a hint of cayenne) as well as an order of Coffee Ice Cream Affogato with Decaf Coffee. The Creme Brulee was nice but not the absolute best we ever have had. But best of all was our wonderful, happy, helpful server...we wish we could remember his name. He made the evening especially memorable.
My best dining experience so far this season in the Hamptons. Service is a little slow but the food quality makes up for it. Loved chunky water ice cubes with fruit and herbs. And check arrives with ice cream and candied oranges. Delish and sweet.
It was a Perfect experience in Every way . Ari and Lisa are the most Wonderful hosts !!
One of the best restaurants in the Hamptons.
Great drinks (you should try the grapefruit cocktail ) good food and good service.
The prices are a little high but not unreasonable given the quality of the food and service.
Overall, an excellent experience. Prices were Hamptons reasonable and food was great. A very good experience and I would return anytime.
Eating at Bistro Ete was an all around Perfect experience. The food was . The Zucchini Spaghetti was in a class of its own . We finished the meal off with the Perfect Apple Tartan. The Chef / owner and his wife were incredibly charming from the moment we entered to leaving their restaurant. We Loved it soo much that we booked a 2nd visit this week .
This was our second time. First time we had a table. This time we did price fixe at the bar. We had a 6:30 reservation, the latest we could get until 9:00, but there were only two other people there. If you are thinking about the bar price fixe option, it might be better to call than to rely on open table. We had the corn chowder, tasted like dessert, escargot, fluke, duck leg, all good. We have yet to find something on the menu we would not recommend. After we ate, we found out Friday was foie gras night, so we had some for dessert. A thoroughly enjoyable experience.
Great food and ambiance!! Chef can mix flavors and the service was
We love this restaurant. It has a homey feel due in part to the warmth of the owners who greet you at the door and check in on diners throughout the night. It has become our go-to spot!
Delicious food, so pure, so tasty, so perfectly cooked. 2nd time we were there, just absolutely lovely. Love the low key nature, and freshness of ingredients.
Fantastic food and service.
All the food was delicious. The menu is varied and not the usual Hamptons fare. A very welcoming atmosphere.
Simply excellent in every way
Zucchini blossoms, striped bass and duck were all excellent. Soft shell crabs were tempting, looked great on our neighbor's plate. Table was ready on time, and the staff was very friendly. We sat at a table, but the price fixe at the bar looked like it could be fun too.
Celebrated our anniversary there. Wanted good food with casual atmosphere, nothing fancy and it delivered!
Wow. Just wow.
Right now, the single best restaurant in the Hamptons. Period.
An amazing spicy margarita to start
Brussel sprouts with halloumi
Octopus with grilled romaine lettuce
Perfect dry aged steak frites
